A quick stop at this Royal Farms to visit the restroom and buy a bottle of cold water. The store is in very good condition and there is a big selection of drinks including beer. I was impressed that there is a Tesla charging station here that has four chargers. It's not in the shade but it is in the corner of the convenience store parking lot if you want to get a snack or use the restroom while you're charging. We had to stop somewhere along the road during our 330 mile drive from Newport News to Bucks County. Royal Farms is ubiquitous along Route 13/113 in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, so we agreed to check it out. First impression was that the store was smaller than expected and as compared to similar places with different names. Their fried chicken was predominantly displayed and spread its aroma all around. Still, hot oily chicken didn't appeal to our primary goal of driving while we ate and we didn't want to sit in the tight dining area. So we passed on that and went with a few bags of nuts, a couple of Krispy Kreme and Java. The mens' restroom was also small, with only one throne and a single pisseur. A bit of leakage on the tile floor, too. Not a great roadside way station, and certainly not an attractive representative of the genus. Step down from most, and several down from the current best (Wawa). Skipped on the gas refill as well. Not disposed to visit another.

Royal Farms is basically a gasoline fill up/convenience store. When I was here I used their men's room which was rather gross in appearance as well as smelly. I tried some of their fried chicken which they purport to say is "World Famous." Well, I have to say it was pretty good but I would say "World Famous" might be somewhat of a stretch, and as far as that Food and Wine Magazine about being "the best fried chicken," the whole of that statement is deeply limited and qualified as being the "..best a la gas station." LOL! For a convenience store/gasoline station it's overall about average OK.

Drank more than half my vanilla cappuccino when something entered my mouth that was not coffee, spit it out and found a big dead bug!!! Went to empty the drink in sink and found another dead bug floating in the drink!!!Called Royal Farms and spoke to manager (very briefly) who only said we will clean the machine, nothing else. It was obvious she didn't care, but I didn't want this to happen to someone else. Don't have to worry about me eating there anymore or getting any drinks from the machine!

I had cleared the Chesapeake Bridge/Tunnel, and I was running low on water. I was also a bit hungry, and this was the first place that caught my eye. I parked, and already got a bad vibe from the place. I walked in nonetheless. I looked for a gallon of water, and found that they only sold the smaller bottles. I didn't really see a good selection of snack to munch on while I found an actual sit down diner. I used their restroom, which was ok as far as cleanliness. I did not like the crowd here, and I promptly left. Maybe to some this is a better experience, but this place had nothing for me. It is highly unlike that I will be back, both because I didn't like the place, and also because I probably won't be travelling through here again.

This is a good place to fill up whatever you need...your car or your belly! Stopped here for gas on my way back from OBX to NYC and was able to fill up quickly. The place was very clean, they had stuff to clean your windows available and I was in and out quickly. This was nicer than the Sunoco I stopped at on the way down.

Very friendly workers, especially the deli worker, ... good tasting wrap and fried chicken. Bathrooms were not the cleanest, the sink especially was pretty dirty. They have krispy kream donuts, yeah!

Disgusting. Filthy. Horrible. Rude people. Not clean. Workers were eating while making food with bare hands.

We called to fill our tank and they would not come by, just came up with excuses. We later found out that they discriminate and would not provide us with propane. The tank is located outside and all they have to do is drive over and fill up the tank outside. We were informed by customer service manager Shelia Thomas they could not provide propane for a week without explanation( yet the technicians drove to other homes to service accounts. We called other providers who gladly offered to come and replace Sharp's tank. Within one day Pep Up installed their tank and we now have the ability to cook and have hot water. Sharp needs to attend customer service and sensitivity training . They are essential and can NOT decide to not service a Customer who pays bills on time. Discrimination should not be allowed .
