Sometimes it isn't very well mixed and there can be salty spots in your sweet pie. But as for butcher shop meats it is very good.

Geresbeck's has the best sales in town when it comes to seafood. The shrimp is always cheap & they steam on site. On a recent visit while waiting for my shrimp to be steamed, I took a walk around the market to see what else I could buy. Geresbeck's has a great speciality ice cream section. They had my favorite Taharka Brother's honey graham ice cream and some other tasty choices. I ended up in the bakery department and saw SO MANY delicious looking baked goods from a peanut butter Boston crème cake to banana pudding parfaits to mini cheesecakes. Their doughnuts are huge and made with the love of someone that loves to bake. I took quite a bit of photos showcasing their selections. As I walked through the store, I started to get a little hungry for a snack. I came back around to the deli/hot foods department and saw a mountain of tasty looking western fries. Now, western fries are extremely popular in Baltimore and the surrounding counties. I've had my share of western fries from the center of the city, to Brass Hen in Eastpoint mall, to even Royal Farms. All were delicious, BUT THESE FRIES WERE ABSOLUTE LOVE AT FIRST BITE!!! They were crunchy like a piece of fried chicken and tender inside like a fluffy baked potato. Omg, I can taste them right now. They were so, so amazingly yummy. If you love potatoes, or any variation of fries, you'd LOVE these. I actually may go back very soon for a fix. I didn't need salt, pepper, ketchup, NOTHING. Now, for my only gripe about Geresbeck's is that I wouldn't necessarily buy goods outside of the seafood, bakery or specialty items. I found that other items in the store, unless on sale, are higher priced than other grocery stores. But they have to counterbalance that with the affordable seafood prices, right? Anyways, if you're in the area, stop by and pick you up some delicious doughnuts and western fries while you're there. Geresbeck's is a piece of nostalgia that will make you feel like you were back in a time when everything was simpler and easy. They will always be solid with me.

We were looking for thai bird's eye chili's, and haven't found a local Asian grocery since they tore down Golden Bridge (I miss that store so much) to put in yet another Wawa. So we decided to venture into new territory and visit an Indian grocer. The parking lot is a Rollercoaster. A maniac must have designed and graded it. The store is tightly packed. Product, crates, and bags of rice make narrow passageways impossible for wheelchairs. We found the chilis. Thank goodness Jeremy was with me, because I never could have gotten to the shelves myself and no one seemed interested in making sure I found what I needed. I would have liked to have explored the shelves more, but I felt uncomfortable in the store and couldn't wait to leave. The guy at the register did not speak to us. Didn't tell us the total for our purchases or thank us for shopping there. There was a cart blocking the exit, from the outside, so it was more difficult than necessary to leave. Guess we'll continue our mission to find a suitable Asian grocery, because I have no intention of returning.

The fresh peppers selection is lacking here. We were on the hunt for some Thai Bird's Eye chilis,…read morebut all they had were bell peppers and some habeneros. We were able to find a small Styrofoam cooler though, which was great. We struck out at the Dollar Tree first. I don't know if this is Giant's fault, or not, but there are two benches out front on the sidewalk. These benches are placed right next to a building support column, leaving JUST enough space for me to get through in my wheelchair. Yet less than three feet away, the sidewalk is double wide, which would put the benches out of the walkway. So when I was trying to get from the Dollar Store to Giant, there was a large dude sitting on the end of the bench, making it impossible for me to get through because his legs and shoes were in the way. And, for reasons I do not understand, he refused to stand up and move for a second. He swiveled on the bench to sit sideways. I missed smashing his feet by millimeters. The best thing about this store is the ice cream room. Seriously. There are like 8 freezers, all secluded in a bumped out section of the store. I saw frozen delights in there that I have never before seen in my life. If it didn't take 15+ minutes for me to get to this store, I'd do all my ice cream shopping there and never have to get the same flavor twice. EVER. Other than that, it's your average grocery store. Giant can be pricey, but then again I'm usually an Aldi shopper. There are just some things you can't get at Aldi. Decent. Would recommend if you're in the area.

I am not sure what was going on, but this was not a smooth visit. I went in for two or three items at the most. I found the salads and was met with a number of boxes strewn within the section. Another customer and I looked at each other in a perplexed manner because this was not a good look at all. I literally had to step over the boxes to get to the salad. Though this is probably only my second visit to this location, I could not find anything. Since my sole purpose for visiting was salad and fish, my next visit was the seafood department to get some salmon portions. I asked for two portions to be cut from a larger piece in lieu of the already portioned pieces. The staff person told me that he was not sure if he could do that because it was "cheating". I asked him how it was cheating. I told him that I have my portions cut from the larger pieces of fish all the time at other Giant locations. This guy was in the process of having a total meltdown by not only insinuating that it was cheating, but also suggesting that he was fearful of being fired for this process. He went into such a rant that I told him to forget the fish and just give me a pound of the jumbo shrimp. Thankfully, another staff member appeared and told him that he would finish. Apparently, he understood the process of weighing the fish with the skin and simply cutting the portions a little larger and removing the skin. He did so without any problem. Another customer waiting behind me, softly stated that he had never heard of anything like what the first staff member said. I am glad that I do not live in the area because I would never visit that location again.
