She was very kind for entertaining me for so long as I kept changing my mind and what I wanted...but she did everything with a smile. SHE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! She presented all of the information about the costs and product very clearly in a PDF, including example photos for the arrangement style and the individual flowers, detailed descriptions, and price per item. She updated the PDF every time I made a minute change like changing the color of a ribbon or changing the type of flower. When the flowers arrived on our wedding day, they were even more beautiful than the sample images. We just got back from our wedding a few hours ago, and I wish I'd had the foresight to look into flower preservation because everything was so stunning. She went out of her way to make sure it was packed well and made sure I had a card. In the store there were many silk arrangements. You get a rewards card towards your purchase that can be used either at the florist or the cafe interchangeably. ($17 for a potted plant and about $10 for a smaller non potted plant). I felt like it was fate and that I needed to buy these plants so if you are a plant lover, this is definitely a cute little spot to pick up a little plant or two! The afternoon of the visitation, I texted my friend to offer support and he sent me a picture of what I had ordered. I placed the order online, scheduled pick up, and moved on with my life. Unfortunately, I received an email about 5 days before I was due to pick up the arrangement essentially advising that my selection was no longer available because the flowers wouldn't be in season the month of December. Huh? They explained that they would do their best but I asked for a refund instead. Apparently there was a website issue that allowed the purchase to go through but shouldn't have. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses. The annuals and perennials here are healthy and hardy. They have beautiful hanging baskets, from fuchsias to geraniums, as well as native plants and pest resistant flowers. Normally I pick up flower bouquets at fancy grocery stores but I was looking for something specific…read more(and at the last minute). None of my normal jaunts had what I wanted. So I visited the Flower Cart to see what they had (after having driven by it earlier in the week). They did not have what I was looking for. The very helpful florist let me know that as soon as I inquired. I wasn't about to visit another place so I perused what they did have. They had some loose flowers that I could've purchased separately and built my own bouquet or they had one, yes one, lonely bouquet already made. It was beautiful so I opted for that. The Flower Cart was pricier than I normally pay but the quality of it was better. The recipient had nice things to say which isn't usually the case with the grocery store versions. Also, and this probably goes without saying, they had a lot less options than the grocery stores I normally go to. As an independent flower shop, I can understand not having a lot of premade bouquets for pop in visitors when you offer same day and next day bouquets that can be ordered on your website. They will even deliver around the Baltimore area. Still, I was pleased with my drop in visit of the Flower Cart and look forward to seeing what they can do when I actually order ahead of time.

Parking was a little challenge because their were not many available spots. I arrived when they opened. Others had the same idea. Buckets of different types of flowers and greenery were placed on a table in the center of the shop. My grandson and I were greeted as soon as we entered. You were able to pick the stems of your choice. Once picked you took your flowers to another table to be cut and arranged in beautiful bouquets. The entire staff was very friendly. Once your flowers were arranged, you were able to take them to the counter for payment. I purchased 32 stems which cost $20.00 plus tax. I was able to get 5 different bouquets out of them. I was truly pleased with my total experience. The flowers smelled amazing and they bought smiles to the people that we purchased them for.
