We all know concrete and the skill to lay it isn't cheap but Jose came in with a quote that was very reasonable...so I started adding more stuff to do on top of it and he still gave me a pricing that I can live with. We set an original time frame for weeks out but later said he was available so we started. He and his crew were on a mission....everthing done so fast and professional. Even his sub contractors such a tree removal and plumber he coordinated so well. FYI....one day I had a question about some of the work....and he came over on a Sunday on his day off...broke away from his family....just to answer questions. That was dedication to the client. Came out and did the bid in a timely manner. Gave us the quote- we agreed and moved forward with starting the project. Got close to the date of start and he pushed us back 2 weeks. Then got close to that date and pushed us back another week. THREE weeks in total and no Jose and no job complete. He left us with finding someone else to get the job done. I've been "asked" to be more "detailed", so here we go... I actually had a 4.5 foot fence/wall put in our front yard. After about 2 months or so the walls showed severe cracks. They used cinder blocks and stucco, it was cracking so bad there was an almost 1/2 inch wide crack from the top to bottom... the crack followed the pattern of the cinder blocks underneath the stucco, yes you could see right through to the other side. I was told by another contractor that this was happening due to there not being any drains put in and that the wall was at a slight slope so the water would gather, (a lot OF WATER!!!) causing the wall to shift. I contacted JOSE and he said he would come by to check out the crack. I trusted that he would because he seemed like a nice honest guy. He never came and stopped answering my calls and messages. Before I noticed this massive crack, I had referred I'm to a hand full of people. He never showed up for half of them. Hope that's enough info for the ones who desperately needed more "details" If he works out, great for you. But he wasn't on his A game with us. read more

I hired Royal concrete to make a 14 by 18 textured colored concrete slab for a gazebo on my property up in Copperopolis. Jose came out twice before starting, once when the spot had not been graded yet and once afterwards. His English is perfect and he quickly understood exactly what I was asking for. He communicated well with me, calling if he wasn't going to arrive exactly when scheduled. I'm an older woman and there was no sexist BS at all. The slab came out perfectly. Very poor quality. Lists him as being licensed but i can't find one and he would not give it to me when asked. Also does business under Precise concrete. Hired him to do a large driveway, back patio and brickwork. Lines and curves were all laid out randomly nothing square or done with precision at all. The back Patio was stamped and the stamp was done CROOKED!!!. Looks very amateur. And the worst was the brickwork. He brought in his brick guy ,Adam Lazaro, and again nothing was straight. Cuts didn't line up and looks like a child installed it. After install the brick columns cracked and neither Jose or Adam would comeback to warranty their work!!! Neither Contractor is licensed but even if they were i would recommend looking for someone else. Prices weren't the best so there are better contractors out there. read more
