I brought in my 2019 GMC Sierra. It was attacked by a rouge branch while driving around St.Charles. It needed a new windshield, several dents removed, and a number of panels repainted. After many years of patronage I can no longer recommend this business. We try to maintain our vehicles and keep after repairs. Recently bought one of our cars in for an estimate for paintless dent repair. Having used Royal for similar service in the past she expected a similar walk-around followed with a written estimate. This time she got a series of excuses and was indirectly told they didn't want the Work. That isn't how you treat loyal customers. Time to move on. Plenty of other shops out there. read more

GOOD PEOPLE DO EXIST IN THE AUTO REPAIR INDUSTRY! A couple days ago I found out that my 2010 car had some paint damage on it. My best guess was that someone bumped into me the parking lot and ran. (jerk!). Anyway, there wasn't a dent but scratch was noticeable, with it being white on navy blue. And oh yes, the scuff was also the size of my hand. Long story short, I happen to find Royal Coach Ltd a few buildings down from another body shop that was closed for the afternoon. The parking lot was empty but one of the garage doors was still open. So, I took a chance and went in there office. There, I find Richard, the owner of the shop. I asked him if I could get an estimate. He followed me outside, looked at my car and within 10 seconds he told me to pull it over to the garage so he could fix it! And that he did! He got a rag, used a compound agent, polished the area, and even painted it with some touch up paint that I got from the dealer. He said, why pay $400 for the whole bumper! He didn't charge us and told us to have a nice day. This man was about to close up shop but instead he took 15 minutes out of his day, which he didn't have to, and helped me out! If I ever have a more serious scratch (that went beyond paint) or a dent, I'll be sure to come here. They're honest, helpful and very kind! read more

Rich and the Royal Coach Team in St Charles are professional, courteous, considerate and (more important) they are skilled. I've had NO COMPLAINTS with the work they've done for me over the years. My new 2002 Isuzu Trooper sustained extensive hail damage before my first payment was due. There was over $5,200 in damage. Years later, another job cost over $9,000, from a near total loss accident. I still have the trooper, and I had over 200,000 miles before I saw any sign of rust. I've been using Royal Coach St Charles for more than 25 years, and still do. I initially chose them after careful research, and I haven't used anyone else since. Even when my insurance company had my vehicle towed to their preferred shop, I requested it be transferred to Rich at Royal Coach. THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CAR THAN ROYAL COACH I'm an automotive engineer and do-it yourself kind of guy who is very meticulous about his cars. I do not go to dealership service departments as I have very low patience for poor quality work, lack of knowledge and poor customer service. I do as much as I can by myself and, yes, I do have an awesome set of tools. Regardless, I do not do body work. To do excellent body work requires equipment, space, time and expertise that I just do not have. Recently I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. Apparently the guy behind me was texting, saw the car next to him move and ... BAM! The bumper and lift gate on my sportwagon were crushed. My immaculate car was in a bad way. Fortunately, I knew EXACTLY where to go. I had my first accident 22 years ago and a friend of mine recommended going to Royal Coach in Addison. They did such meticulous job fixing my car that I could not find a single detail that suggested my car ever had any damage. My car was perfect, ABSOLUTELY PERECT. They walked me around my car, opened every door, checked for paint lines (there were none) and inspected every panel. Every detail, every angle, every area damaged in the accident was repaired and my car literally looked new. That first visit was in Addison and in the years since I have taken cars to their shop in Bartlett and also here in St. Charles. I've recommended Royal Coach to my mother, brother,sister, girlfriend (now wife), friends, neighbors and coworkers. In total I must have directed over 16 cars there body work. Personally, I've gone there multiple times for collision work, rust repairs (after a crappy windshield replacement job caused my roof to start rusting) and mechanical work. I can only say that they have always done THE BEST WORK and I have never been disappointed. Royal Coach has always been professional, very detailed, quality focused and provided fast service. I cannot speak highly enough. Back to the present: I got my sportwagon back and it was as I expected - perfect, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Actually, I think that the paint finish on my bumper and lift gate is better than the rest of the car (did I mention that my Car is immaculate?). Yet another excellent job from Royal Coach. Two weeks ago, my neighbor's car was hit while parked in a parking lot. Being the designated neighborhood "car expert", my neighbor asked me where to get his car repaired. Once again and without hesitation, I said: "Go to Royal Coach." He got his car back yesterday (from the St. Charles location) and thanked me for the recommendation. To be honest, I didn't really have time to write this review and I'm very surprised at how much I wrote. But after the many years of excellent service that Royal Coach has provided to me, my family and my friends, I guess felt a little obligated to return the favor. My fiance has been using this company for over 10 years but this is the first time I've needed body work on my car. I went to another location for a second estimate and they missed visual and behind the bumper problems that Royal Coach caught. (The other place didn't even include a new light cover in their estimate when mine was clearly cracked!) When I picked up my car from Royal Coach I was thoroughly impressed with their work. My bumper looks better than new and they even went above and beyond to clean the inside and outside of my car. The customer service was also 5-star worthy.
