DO NOT USE! I wish I had seen these reviews before. I have booked an after-builders service and they have disgracefully left everything with dirt and dust. It was evening, however it was already visible that lots hadn't been cleaned properly. I have emailed them for days proving pictures to proof the poor service. They originally offered to send cleaners again after a week time, which was obviously unreasonable considering we had to move back into the space. I have asked if they could come earlier or for a partial refund and they have just stopped answering. I would highly suggest not to use this company ever! read more

We booked Royal Cleaning at the end of our tenancy agreement. As we moved back to Germany before the cleaning took place, we had no chance to check the quality, but our lettings agent had. They were shocked about the low cleaning standard and quality and sent us a long list with complaints and pictures. It is incredible to pay so much money for such a low quality and we will not accept that. Some highlights of our experience with Royal Cleaning: · They contacted us 10minutes before the cleaning appointment was scheduled in order to inform us that the appointment has to be postponed. They did not expxlain why, we had to accept it. · When the cleaning appointment took place, they immediately called us to inform that they have to charge more money because the refrigerator and the oven are too "big". Surprisingly they managed immediately to contact us and charge us 60 Pound extra, but they did not manage to contact us asap in order to ask how to switch on the hot water. They preferred to say nothing, cleaned with cold water and at the end of he cleaning they informed us they will revoke the guarantee because of not having hot water. · Our lettings agent sent so many complaints with pictures, most of them were not even related to missing hot water, but just a matter of fact of low cleaning quality, no carefullness, just quick - really lousy cleaning. · We sent an email to Royal Cleaning including the pictures, they have not responded at all. We contacted their customer service agent, he promised to discuss the topic and come back to us. We still wait for his response.... Royal Cleaning is the worst experience we ever had with a cleaning agency, not only from the low standard and quality, but also with the lowest level of customer service available. Not responding at all to complaints and not calling back in order to offer a second cleaning shows their cumstomer attitude. They just want money and don't care at all about customer satisfaction. I booked in Royal Cleaning in Oxford for an end-of-tenancy clean at 09:00 on a Sunday (new tenant moving in Thursday morning). At 17:30 on Saturday evening, I received a text cancelling this due to 'staff unavailability'. I then rushed to rebook an appointment at 14:00 on Wednesday, they took payment, and have again cancelled late-afternoon on the Tuesday citing 'no available team'. Perhaps this company should stop making appointments and taking payments if they are they are going to continually cancel last minute? Absolutely abysmal. I wrote this review on google Elspeth Garner Unfortunately, the company did not deliver what it says it would. They were engaged to clean a flat for the end of the tenancy in Greenwich Peninsula. They did come but did not take them very long. When the checkout report from Letcheck came through the comment was that they did not believe that the cleaning had been done professionally. Greenwich Peninsula agreed to let the cleaners back to complete the cleaning to an acceptable standard. Unfortunately, the business said customer service would look at it and they took their time so that the cleaning could not be done before the new tenants moved in. They had over a week to sort this. I would not use them again or recommend that anyone does. Checkout has a limited timescale and the company cannot rectify the problem during this period. The report does not come within their 48 hour Guarantee period so is "not worth the paper it is written on". I would strongly advise finding a more reputable company as you don't​ get second chances. Hope this helps others not to make our mistake in using them and bearing the financial consequences. read more

Shambolic. That is how I would sum up my experience of using Royal Cleaning for a recent end of tenancy cleaning. The reason I opted for this company because the initial communication via email with Michael was fairly professional, however, do let this fool you. I booked the team to arrive by 8 am. By 9 am there was still no sign of them and I was getting worried because our inventory was booked for the afternoon and we had to return keys to estate agents later that day. Called them at 9 am asking where they were only to be abruptly told they would look into it and hung up on me. They called me back to tell me they had actually booked it for the wrong month and to forgive them because it's a busy time of year. I was very angry at this point because I had taken a day of annual leave to wait around for these people to turn up. Anyway, Michael promised to send his 'best people' who would be there by 11 am. They actually turned up at 12, so 4 hours after I had booked them for. They had no official uniform so couldn't even tell at first it was the cleaning team. Apart from one girl, they spoke very little English which made communicating quite challenging. Halfway through I went to inspect on their progress. I was shocked to find one of the cleaners using the landlord's £15 hoover which was on its last legs to do all the vacuum cleaning. I asked him where their own was, to which he replied that it was too much effort to carry it up the four flights of stairs to the flat. I'm sorry, what?! I was speechless. Eventually, the inventory person turned up because they were running so behind schedule so wasn't ideal for her at all trying to the checks with the cleaning happening the same time. She picked up on quite a few basic things that had been missed, tops of cupboards, behind furniture, behind sofa cushions. When I told them to go over these things again, they started arguing back with me and talking about me (the client) in their own language. This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I then got a call from their office to say the cleaning team will be leaving because they needed to move on to their next job and asked for me to pay them ASAP. I was horrified because I wasn't happy with what they'd done and it certainly was not my problem they were running late. What they had done was a very superficial clean which anyone could've done. They had no special equipment which I would've expected from a 'professional cleaning' company. This cost me £180 and they knocked off £10 after messing up the booking which they only offered after I asked. Spare yourself the pain and pay a bit more a go for a decent cleaning company. I have arranged the end of tenancy cleaning through Royal Cleaning and feel extremely disappointed about the service. Not only the cleaners arrived 1h late, but they also havent cleaned the property properly. Tiles, external interior In the kitchen hasn't been cleaned, windows left dirty, floors not mopped properly. Ja Also some of the chemicals they used left certain areas of the flat even at a worse state that they have been before. Will never recommend anybody to use this company. Awful experience. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. After paying for a full end of tenancy clean, we came home to soaking wet carpets (which were supposed to be professionally steamed) and a dirty house with even the simple things like dusty skirting boards not being touched. Now after a week of speaking to them directly to confirm the timing of the re-clean offered, I have received an email saying that they will not provide this as their cleaner said we stayed with them the entire clean and told them to leave everything they did dirty which is a complete lie. We are now in the process of contacting the Director of this company directly to further our complaint but don't hold much hope of this being resolved. read more

The worst cleaning service - and they stole things from our house - DO NOT USE. As we had the keys to our new house a few days earlier than we were able to move in, I booked an end of tenancy clean to ensure the place was in great shape ready for our arrival. The person I spoke to at www.royal-cleaning.co.uk was very helpful and I made it clear the house is owner-occupied, but I was using end of tenancy service as I was looking for a deep clean. Due to a clash in the cleaners schedule, I was asked to change the day of the booking to one where I would not be at the property. I was going to be there on the original date, but was ok with the change as I've used lots of other cleaners in the past and always found them to be trustworthy. On this occasion with Royal Cleaning it was obviously a mistake. I was there on the day of the original booking to hand over my keys and (stupidly) payment for the job which they would undertake the following day. I should have known this was a warning sign as it's not normal to pay fully for a service until you're happy with the job. On our arrival at the property on moving day it was very clear the job hadn't been done properly. The insides of the kitchen cupboards and drawers hadn't even been touched and there was still bits of food and dirt from the previous owners on the surfaces. There were also lots of cobwebs about (I had called in advance to advise that the property had high ceilings and they would need the right equipment). Not only was the place not clean, but I had taken a few things there on the day I handed over the clean - including some brand new luxury hand soap and cream. These, along with some towels had been taken from our house when we were not there. I called Royal Cleaning to complain and was told it would be looked into. I was also told it was normal for the cleaners to "dispose of any rubbish" left in the property by previous tenants. Again I reminded them that we had already moved in and that they were aware this wasn't a normal end of tenancy. I had other items there which weren't taken - unsurprisingly some tupperware and plastic cups weren't as appealing to steal. I'd had no answer and called again the next day. I was told they would offer a re-clean and that was it - again telling me about the T&Cs and saying the cleaners should dispose of rubbish. Clearly these items were not rubbish and were taken because they thought they would get away with it. I said I didn't want people who had stolen from me to return to my house (and neither did I have confidence in their cleaning anyway) so simply asked for my items to be returned or to be replaced (which would be similar price to a few hours of cleaning). I also asked them to respond to the fact that there is no way I'd have let them out of my house with my things had I been there on the day of the clean. The only reason I wasn't there was because I agreed to help ease THEIR schedule, and was repaid by having my things stolen. I'm disgusted that I've had no further response to this from Royal Cleaning. The best I can do is chalk it up to bad experience and discourage everyone else from using this firm. read more

Shocking! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. The team were upmost professional and easy to communicate with whilst I was booking in for an end of tenancy cleaning. Upon arriving at the house, the cleaners took at least an hour to start the job- the initial part of the clean was adequate to a point, however as time moved on, they soon realised that they were running late for another job: It is understandable sometimes this happens, and they had not been clearly advised as to how many rooms they were scheduled to clean. However, this had previously been discussed extensively on the phone and was correctly reflected in the confirmation email. ( 1 Kitchen, 1 Living Room, 4 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, 1 Cloakroom, 1 Conservatory, 1 Staircase + landing, 1 Hallway, as well as Professional Carpet cleaning of: 1 Living Room) The cleaners literally swept the conservatory and that was it- they ran for the door muttering about being late. The toilet was left mouldy and they didn't even mop the floor. This is all reflected in our check-out notice. Not ideal after paying a few hundred for a "professional" service. I was told whilst booking this that we were paying for an eight hour service and if the house was not up to the right standard they would return to complete the scheduled time. We were advised the house was clearly not done to a professional standard, and upon further correspondence with royalcleaning.co.uk, all they could do was tell me the house needs renovation?! It was the standard of cleaning that was the issue, not the structure of the property. Renovation has little to do with dirty toilets, limescale, and un-mopped floors. The truly awful part of this was the customer service, who after receiving my complaint replied: "We totally disagree with the claim and we consider the case closed!" Do not use a service that claims 'royal' treatment prior to receiving your money, but chooses to be discourteous and unhelpful once a complaint is issued. read more

I got charged £200 for a end of tenancy cleaning, left the property to find my agency say the house was full of cobwebs, none of the light frames was dusted and none of the window seal was wiped down. I called and sent an email to complain yet they said they cannot help as i did not let them know straight away, barring in mind its an end of tenancy and once the cleaners left i expected it to be clean, nerveless the wiser, do not use! read more

DO NOT USE! Absolutely awful service! I'm a landlord and upon checkout, the inventory clerk was so disgusted with the condition of the place that she advised me not to touch the surfaces as they were so grimy and sticky. I contacted Royal Cleaning to request that they returned to do a proper clean but they absolutely refused saying that it was just small 'things' and that I was being unreasonable. They were particularly sarcastic when I sent them photos of some of the problems ... one of the comments being 'Those stains on your ceramic hob are below the surface. Do you expect us to dismantle your hob to clean it?' Well, those stains were on the surface of the hob and were quite easily removed the other cleaning company I had to hire to do a proper job! Royal Cleaning promises to ensure that your landlord is satisfied with the cleanliness of your flat. Well, that is definitely not the case. If you are a tenant and would like your deposit back, do not use Royal Cleaning! Oh, their end of tenancy clean also does not include cleaning your appliances such as the washing machine, the dishwasher and the cooker hood - I was told in no uncertain terms that one of my photos was of the inside of the disgustingly dirty dishwasher which was not in their cleaning remit! read more

I booked for an end of tenancy clean, received the quote which was very reasonable, met the two cleaners at the property and thought happy days. The following day the inventory clerk called me to say how bad the final clean was and that I needed to get them back out to complete the work. From this moment on my life has been a nightmare trying to make contact with the company. One person answers the phone and told me to send an email with my complaint. 3 emails / 10 phone calls later I still had not received a reply. The following weekend I had to attend the property to complete the clean myself, to say I was disgusted with what I found would be an understatement. The following week I received a reply stating " your 48 hour period has expired and there is nothing we can do". I received no apology and could not reason with this company at all. They are an absolute joke. In fact they would not know what a professional clean was if it smacked them in the face. The only thing they are good at is taking your money. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! read more
