It has definitely become the go-to place to grab a good quality burger throughout Australia. Despite the large number of stores throughout Australia if definitely does not have the 'chain' vibe and each location tends to have its own personality. The Garden City shopping centre Grill'd certainly provides an enjoyable experience. The burgers are always top quality and the waiting times are low, even during busy periods such as weekend lunch. This particular location always seems to have a bevy of reading material for diners to peruse while they are waiting for and eating their burgers. My personal favourites are the 'Hot Mama' Moroccan flavoured burger and the much more traditional 'Summer Sunset' which comes with some of that sweet sweet pineapple. The range is very interesting and they seem to be constantly adding to the menu with new salads and steak sandwiches. Vegetarian options are also available for those inclined, and the home style thick cut chips with rosemary salt always go down a treat. Staff are always helpful and friendly. If anything a bit too friendly almost chasing you out of the store as you leave to make sure that they have said 'Have a great day'. If you have been living under a rock, or simply have passed by thinking that you do not want to pay upwards of $10 for a burger, trust me, it is definitely worth your while to give it a try, and you will likely become just as hooked as me.

These experiences along would likely keep me coming back to Mons Thai but the food also happens to be great. I should have known given the amount of awards they have lining their walls. I have tried most items on the menu and would be hard pressed to name a favourite. Just ask the staff what they would recommend and go from there. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

Instead of hitting up the classic vege green or red curry I went for a 'jungle' curry which was just fabulous! It didn't have the typical coconut milk base but was more of a stock so it didn't sit as heavy in my stomach. This worked out great because I convinced myself I should get a dessert - where I had to choose the one very non-Thai dish... A chocolate mousse cake! Shit damn that was good and rounded off the averaged priced meal very well!

I'm okay with that because everywhere else you go namely in the Toowong Village Food Court... not even a restaurant... you will pay $10-$15 for a dish. At least they're still around $10 for a dish here and $8.50 if you're after a rice/noodle. That price sits well in my wallet and considering the: 1) Fast order and turnaround time 2) The cleanliness of the place 3) The friendly and efficient staff and now 4) The stylish new Yelpingly hot look 5) The new dishes they've added to the menu It sits right in my stomach too. The food is always cooked fresh, served hot (i'm a big fan of this) and comes out quickly. The price is pretty right with me, I don't mind spending a few more dollars than before because it's still a pretty nice little situation.
