Hilton Hibiscus Spa is my new favorite place to relax and renew. I've been a spa junkie for over a…read moredecade and I wanted to try something new - I was curious about this new spa that opened at the newly renovated Hilton last summer, so as I was checking out their website, I saw they were offering a $25 off regular price special for Vichy Shower treatments. So I signed up for the 80 min "Body Detox Scrub and Mud Wrap" and WOW! Words can not even do this experience justice. I've never experienced a Vichy Shower until now and my life will never be the same. First of all, warm-hot water from my shoulders to my feet. I think this thing had 8 shower heads. Similar to a Swiss shower but you're laying down. The table had a cushy pad and was very comfortable. My therapist soon had me in a trance with long rhythmic stokes that all flowed seamlessly with the water. First applied was a warm Floridian citrus body scrub. Head to toe, I felt like my old skin along with old news was sloughed off and washed away. Then I was painted with a delectable warm red clay to draw out any toxins or impurities and wrapped up in a Mylar while the water showered over me. During my "bake" time, I had a detailed foot scrub followed by a foot massage with the warm mud and then my toesies got wrapped up too. As if I wasn't already in a deep bliss, the hot oil scalp massage that came next just put me into some other world. When it was time for the wrap to come off, unlike being exposed to cold air like I have been in other spas, I was kept nice and warm with the rain bar water. After a thorough rinse came a full body light massage with warm Floridian oil and those heavenly hands once again did their magic. Concluding my final rinse, I was patted dry with a warm towel and light compressions which I though was a nice touch. After slipping into my plush double layered microfiber robe, I was greeted at the door with cucumber mint water, and my amazing therapist welcomed me to continue relaxing in the lounge with some hot tea and snacks, which is exactly what I did. The lounge had a row of comfy blue chaises, each pair separated by pretty curtains for privacy. Sipping on some ginger peach tea with honey pearls was the perfect transition between my heavenly treatment and the beach! Best of both worlds! Nothing but warmth and kindness from the staff here. Thank you again to Hilton Hibiscus spa, I will be sure to be back!

Stayed here over graduation weekend for my son's high school celebration and overall I'd rate it…read moreabout 3.5 stars. The hotel itself is beautiful and centrally located on Clearwater Beach with just a short walk across the street to the beach. We booked two suites , a 2 queen private rooftop terrace suite with a full kitchen and a poolside king suite with a kitchenette which were spacious and perfect for our large gathering. The rooftop terrace was definitely a highlight, and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, the pier, playgrounds, and shops. I also liked that the pool is on the 8th floor with a great view and access limited to hotel guests only. Pool chairs were very comfortable, towels were unlimited with no towel card system, and beach cabana/umbrella rentals were half off for guests. The hot tub being on the 16th floor separate from the pool didn't make much sense though. Room service was daily, and I appreciated being able to text the front desk instead of calling. I highly recommend using the text feature and keeping everything in writing because there were discrepancies regarding credits we were promised. There were unfortunately several maintenance and service issues during our stay. The living room TV constantly glitched and wouldn't sync properly even after maintenance attempted to fix it. More importantly, the AC completely stopped working in the rooftop terrace suite for hours while we hosted about 25 guests for the graduation party. Everyone was hot and sweaty in almost 100-degree indoor conditions. Thankfully the terrace breeze helped, but being offered only a $100 credit for such a major issue during a once-in-a-lifetime celebration felt insufficient! The parking garage situation was also frustrating. We were told our vehicles could enter and exit freely with the resort fee, but every time we tried leaving, the room keys and garage passes failed. We repeatedly went back to front desk to get new passes and had to pay $40 to exit then contact customer service afterward for refunds such a waste of vacation time Customer service overall was very hit or miss. Some employees were wonderful while others seemed miserable and unfriendly. The onsite coffee shop was particularly disappointing I'd recommend walking across the street from The front lobby to the real Starbucks instead. At times it felt like the hotel relies heavily on its excellent location and beach proximity rather than consistent service standards.Coming from previous stays at Sandpearl Resort, I personally would still choose Sandpearl for smaller family vacations. However, I will say this hotel offers more flexibility for large gatherings and easier garage access compared to Sandpearl's valet-only setup. That said, between the AC outage, power issues in BOTH suites floor 8 and 17, lukewarm water, TV problems, phone problems, garage charges, and inconsistent customer service, I would probably try another Clearwater Beach hotel next time. We still made wonderful graduation memories and the location, spacious suites, rooftop terrace, and beach convenience were definitely the highlights of our stay.

Our room was pretty clean when we checked in. This review is just mainly about the check in. I'm not sure if the lady that checked us in was new, but when we checked in, she didn't tell us anything. She actually looked mad we checked in. She didn't even give us the paper that other guests received that gave them information about the hotel and what perks there were. I went to the front desk to check out, and that's when I saw the paper and grabbed it. I didn't realize they had welcome drinks because the lady that checked us in, didn't even give us that. When we checked in, we never knew we could've got a discount for beach chairs and umbrellas because the lady didn't give us the paper. We had to go down to the beach and asked, and that's how we found out. We didn't even know we can get discount for self parking, but luckily, my husband asked about parking. That's when she provided the information. I never knew we had 4 water bottles per day because the paper was never given to us. Never knew about daily pool snacks. In all, I didn't have a bad experience and I NEVER write bad reviews, but the check in was horrible. Lady was NOT nice at all.
