I have been a client at Tao Massage for several years and have always been impressed with their professionalism and kindness. I have routine muscle inflammation stemming from scoliosis and a herniated disc but the therapists at Tao always do excellent work. The setting is small but well laid out and private. I can't recommend Tao Massage highly enough! read more

Absolutely love this place! I can always get in right away and a 90 min massage is affordable compared to other places. Today when I went I was having more pain in certain areas. When I told Cindy she offered to work that area more and suggested cupping. It was exactly what I needed. I will be seeing her consistently for these problem areas and the overall relaxing and amazing experience! read more

Amazing service , best massage in town. Highly recommend , will return . Very nice and warm and professional

My sister and I had really great massages for a very affordable price. I highly recommend!

First time going to Tao was in 2018, I left a 5 star review then. Today I am leaving a 5 star review. Lucy was professional, curteous, respectful and worked out every single knot in my back. I dont treat myself to massages often but when i do, ill be at Tao. Worth every penny. read more

Sophia gives the best massage I have ever had. Head to toe -- every time. Works full time of allotted appointment (60 minutes, not 50, for hour massage). You will LOVE her! JAR read more

I think with all massage places it depends on who you get. If you have someone here you like, great! If you're going on a whim last minute I highly don't recommend. To start: This was our second time here. First time my massage was okay and my husband's was terrible. Cut to 8 months later we couldn't remember if we liked this place so we went again. Within 2 minutes of the massage I remembered and knew right away i had the masseuse my husband got last time just based on his description of how it went. To summarize how this one went everything I asked not to have massages was. I always say no legs and have never not had them try to massage my legs, so I wear leggings now...she still tried to lift them up. She massaged towards my spine which is a no no and caused pain the next day. When massaging my arms she kept placing my hand on her body...eww. At one point she like straddled my head to massage my lower back. And it ended with me saying don't touch my face I break out to her touching my face and then vigorously and painfully scratching my scalp back and forth for reasons unknown. Top 2 or 3 of worst massages I've ever had read more

Wow! CiCi really put in that work !! My first time and I'm committed! I had a nice quiet deep massage it was so lovely before I left I booked my husband ... he didn't have such a quiet time because there was a couple having a massage too . And you can hear everything between the rooms.. ( could be awkward when your getting the demons massages out your body) Anywayssssss It's small , and dark with great relaxing music , but it can also give middle of the mall massage vibes not much privacy.. but for a quick in n out service your in for a treat !! read more

Had a fabulous massage with Grace. She is a true professional who works very hard at trying to resolve the issues that you went there for. Not your standard run of the mill massage. I HIGHLY recommend Grace you will not be disappointed. Frank read more

The following is a text message I received from the establishment while trying to book an appointment for the 2ND TIME this month (aka a loyal customer they just lost): " Hello, our records show you last had one hour deep tissue only $10 tip. Would you agree to give more tips. If you are not satisfied here, you can try other locations. If you are satisfied here and agree with more tips...the masseur is very tired after giving you a massage." Tip is a privilege not a right. Utterly disgusted after paying $88 for massage and too just 2 weeks prior...perhaps the therapist needs adequate rest and proper hygiene/lunch break if she's tired? Plus, the place is dark and suspicious-looking upon entering, best to go elsewhere, they were just convenient for me location-wise. read more

SHOUTOUT HELEN Just got the massage of my life last night-- had just done a mix of long travel, injury recovery, and physically intense performance. I asked for a therapeutic massage--Helen agreed, though within the first couple minutes I had to ask her to up the intensity. English isn't her first language, so she confirmed "Deeper?" and I said yes. Things definitely got a bit better, but I knew that I would need more pressure. I briefly considered asking for a bigger/stronger masseuse (Helen is a petite senior), but I gave benefit of the doubt and simply asked again to go harder. At this point she was like "Ohhhh you really mean it" and WHAM we went into high gear. The kind of massage where it was painful--I was panting and sweating like a proper workout--but so restorative and exactly what I needed. I've been lucky enough to have gotten a couple dozen pro massages in my life, and NEVER have I had someone truly *go there* like she did. I will be coming back! Thanks so much :) read more

This was an impressive massage. I recommend the reflexology foot massage, it was unreal.

A great little spot. I wasn't quite sure because it's located in a strip mall but they do an amazing job. I got the one hour a foot massage and included a 15 minute back massage. They do a great job with reflexology and stress management. Also obeyed all Covid protocols. So I mention it is extremely well priced. this is a great spot and I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

NOT FOR ME 1. There are no doors on each "room " . They aren't really rooms because the " walls " don't reach the ceiling, instead of a door there is a curtain . 2. They do attempt to be quiet but, you hear everything. I heard a woman moaning, a man walk in flick his flip flops off , unzip his pants and put down his glasses. I also heard when people checked out. 3. I undressed with only my underwear and got under the towel. Initially I had a woman with very frail hands basically just push down on me through the towel. I asked a couple times if she was going to remove the towel. I don't think she spoke English. 4. I'd had enough she was just pushing on my body over a towel , I couldn't feel anything so I said I wanted to end the " massage " , it was pointless 5 . Another woman came in ask me if I wanted to use oil on my skin massage. I said yes and was willing to give her a try. I HAD ORDERED A 60 MINUTE DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE in the first place. 6. Her name was daisy , she did a fine job with lots of pressure. 7 . I stayed on my stomach the whole time. She did back arms , legs and some scalp, no front at all which is unusual to me I WON'T GO BACK I've had a lot of massages and I don't consider pressing on your back through a towel a massage The atmosphere was less than desirable Lastly From the swap from the First Lady to the second The male employee threw the curtain back she whipped off my towel naked body exposed with a g string on as they discussed what I wanted It didn't bother me but Was unprofessional and I could see a lot of people being uncomfortable I have no idea how some places get good reviews It makes me question people's taste or the validity of these review services read more

This rating reflects a combination of things, as I had a very confusing visit to Tao Massage Spa. To be fair, some of the issues were culturally inspired, and I take responsibility for my side of that. I called to make an appointment, and explained I wanted my neck and shoulders massages, especially. I was told "1/2 hour feet and 1/2 hour body". Since that seemed my only option, I accepted it. When I arrived, I saw a huge sign on the window announcing a "special" with neck and shoulder massage and reflexology. I asked for that (my first mistake). This turned out to be a quick massage sitting on a stool where one cannot relax for even a second as a massage therapist is pushing and you are trying to stay upright on the stool. I mentioned that this wasn't very comfortable and was offered the original combo, which I accepted. Here's where it got really irritating. The male masseuse decided he didn't want to do the massage, and the woman had to lie and tell me another client was booked in my place ( this was 5 minutes after the start of my one hour massage time - both options were one hour). To her credit, she did offer me a free 15 minute chair massage. One of their massage therapists came in and was sent home while I was in the chair. Then the woman who was working on me again lied, telling me they had booked a client for my second half hour. I attempted to pay her something for the "free massage" but she would not take the money. These are my suggestions: make sure you know what all of the massage options are before booking; do not request the "special" as it is not special, it's just "cheap" and "uncomfortable"; don't get a chair massage as the chair is very uncomfortable. My suggestion for this business is to stop trying to bring in customers with weird, uncomfortable offerings. They do not reflect well on your business. Also, if someone calls for a neck and shoulder massage, offer a half hour table massage for this purpose. read more

Short story: Daisy did great. I'll look forward to having her work in me again. I drove into pinellas county for a meeting, with a little bit of time to spare in the evening. If you want late night, spur of the moment, you are pretty much locked into an Asian massage. Sometimes they are great, sometimes they are stinkers. So yelp helps. This location was one of the few that was listed on Yelp, but it only had one review and the punctuation was sketchy. I had some qualms but I figured I could always walk out. The location is in an old strip mall, but don't let that deter you. Inside, it's clean and simple, exactly what you expect from an Asian esthetic. I appreciated that Daisy's English was almost perfect. She didn't try to up sell me while I was on the table (like so many Asian places do). She concentrated on exactly the areas I asked, was responsive to my sensitive spots and when she was done, I had less pain than I had had all day. Truthfully I was sorry the place closed at 9, because I would have been happy to extend my time on the table. I thought all in all, it was a great value. read more

I decided to try this place out after being on my feet all day yesterday in heels. I have never had a reflexology foot massage and saw some promising reviews. The experience was great! Very relaxing environment and the massage therapist was very efficient. 10/10 experience I will be back. They spent about 20 on my neck and back (which was one of my favorite parts) then the rest on my feet and legs. Wish I got the name of the gentleman who took care of me! read more

Fantastic! My husband made an appointment for me with Leo and the experience was better than I had hoped. The spa is dimly lit and quite peaceful. Leo was fabulous with working out the stress, getting rid of the knots but also being soothing. I left very relaxed and peaceful. Highly recommended! Must try. One of the beat massages I have ever had. Note: this is a traditional Asian/Chinese massage. If you're looking for pampering at a spa, go somewhere else. This is what a real massage was meant to be.....and has been for hundreds of years. This isn't a soft massage you get from some generic membership place. It will hurt the first time you go....luckily for me I get these all the time. read more

Clean facility and my massur's knowledge of pressure points, intuition and skills were on a very good level. I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed after my deep tissues massage. Will definitely come back for more. Advice for the newbies - explain what you need and want before you begin the session because you are in control of the desirable pressure and areas that have to be worked on. Be happy! read more
