I am sharing this to make other parents aware of serious concerns regarding Ms. Choi's conduct in…read morethe classroom. Although she may present herself as friendly, my child experienced repeated condescending, inappropriate, and troubling behavior. My child was bullied by other students on multiple occasions, and I personally witnessed some of these incidents. Instead of intervening appropriately, Ms. Choi dismissed my child's reports, denied that incidents occurred, and labeled her a liar.She made inappropriate comments about my child's appearance, including remarks about her skin color, and spoke negatively about me as a parent directly to my child. My child also reported being physically touched in a way that made her uncomfortable. In addition, she described instances where Ms. Choi would whisper comments in her ear so that others could not hear, which caused her to feel isolated and distressed.When I brought these concerns to school administration, I did not see meaningful action taken. After contacting the district multiple times over several months, I was finally able to have my child transferred due to limited availability.I encourage parents to remain vigilant, listen carefully to their children, document concerns, and advocate firmly when necessary. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and protected in their classroom.

They do quite a few fun activities for the fundraisers that aren't painful. The PTA is well organized and really seems to work hand and hand with the school. The extra events outside of school hours are super reasonable priced so that it's affordable to all families. All in all, our experience here has been top notch! One thing to note, it is a track school (year round school with 3 months on and 1 month off). My understanding is that they try to align siblings with the same months off but I have heard challenges where people have kids at different schools or are different ages and vacation scheduling gets challenging.

Back then the EGSD had higher ratings than in Galt, which was part of the reasons of moving. All the fun activities of field trips to Sutter's Fort, and Monterey Bay Aquarium... The boys still keep in touch with a few classmates, which is impressive! Glad we chose a great school!
