This school is an okay school. However, people always are having issues and things never really change.

Although we registered late, the lady that I spoke on the phone (forgive me, I forgot her name) was very nice and accommodating. We got there and received our registration packet. She answered all our concerns/questions. I put four stars only because this was our first time to go over there and start the registration process.

He was also the owner of Herburger Publications, a newspaper printing plant. His support for education and Elk Grove schools resulted in a partnership with the school district and many statewide awards for his education reporting beginning in 1959. Roy Herburger was born in Cambridge, Missouri but was raised in Stratton, Colorado where his parents were involved with printing and publishing. He graduated from Stratton High School in 1948 and the University of Missouri, School of Journalism, in 1953. He then attended the United States Air Force where he graduated from Officer's Training in 1955. He served in the military until 1957 as a first lieutenant navigator, instructor. When Mr. Herburger took over the Elk Grove Citizen in 1959, he determined that schools and education should be the central theme of his newspapers. In addition to the Citizen, Galt Herald was also under his ownership, so he became a supporter of schools throughout south Sacramento County. Consistently through the years, Mr. Herburger made it very clear that education was the reason he was able to accomplish what he had set forth to do. In his words, he felt that "education held the key to life's success." Mr. Herburger has been a supporter of colleges and universities and he worked with a statewide committee to keep journalism as a major in schools. He assisted high schools with the production of their newspapers and taught students how to finance their publications through advertising. A long time community advocate, Mr. Herburger contributed to the betterment of the entire Sacramento area in his efforts. He was one of the persons responsible for the placement of Cosumnes River College in the south area and served on the CRC Foundation Board for 39 years. He is a supporter of the Los Rios colleges and Delta College as well. Mr. Herburger was active in statewide publishing groups, and since 1981, he served on the California Newspapers Publishers Literacy Committee

This school was absolute TRASH filled with the rudest people I have ever met. I've been in this…read moreschool for a while now and I'm finally leaving the school because I'm moving somewhere else but let me tell my experience. So I got bullied my whole time here and the staff did nothing about it didn't even care, Everytime I told the teacher something they said 'tell the yard-duty' and I told the yard duty about it and they didn't even do anything, the students are so rude, they talked bad about me and my friends and we confronted staff and they did nothing. One time in 4th grade, this girl had a headache and the teacher let her go to the nurses office and one time I was really sick... runny nose, sour throat and fever and the teacher asked if I could stay until the end of the day like what the hell is wrong with you? And the food absolutely sucks also, we had moldy apples and one time we had expired milk from 3 MONTHS AGO. And the vice principal makes up weird rules, one time me and my friends were eating our snacks by the bench and he was like 'you have to eat by the snack area' and the snack area was FLOODED with people and we weren't even littering or anything we were just eating. And I remember in 2nd grade and 4th grade my teachers yelled at me and it scared the hell out of me. And one time I heard that the PE teacher punched a kid in the shoulder. But yea if you kids or whatever do not send them to this school it's ass

Although she may present herself as friendly, my child experienced repeated condescending, inappropriate, and troubling behavior. My child was bullied by other students on multiple occasions, and I personally witnessed some of these incidents. Instead of intervening appropriately, Ms. Choi dismissed my child's reports, denied that incidents occurred, and labeled her a liar. She made inappropriate comments about my child's appearance, including remarks about her skin color, and spoke negatively about me as a parent directly to my child. My child also reported being physically touched in a way that made her uncomfortable. In addition, she described instances where Ms. Choi would whisper comments in her ear so that others could not hear, which caused her to feel isolated and distressed. When I brought these concerns to school administration, I did not see meaningful action taken. After contacting the district multiple times over several months, I was finally able to have my child transferred due to limited availability.I encourage parents to remain vigilant, listen carefully to their children, document concerns, and advocate firmly when necessary. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and protected in their classroom.

As far as the school itself it's clean and well maintained. However the staff there that I've…read moreinteracted with aren't very good in my opinion at disciplining kids. The staff's approach is let's keep our hands to ourselves. It's not working nor will it ever work. These teachers have enough to deal with as for as the students they teach and the horrible curriculum that they have to follow, per the district. I don't like having to interact with the teachers or staff at the school. Unless it's something positive which is something I've found to be not often. If a child wants to go to the office to call their parent or guardian, without being injured or ill let them. Also the yard duty shouldn't tell a child let's keep our hands to ourselves. The child needs to be brought to the office and dealt with accordingly. Doesn't happen often from what I've heard. Teachers need to be able to discipline accordingly and that's not happening. If a child has disciplinary issues that are on going. Then the district and principal should get involved and fined a better situation for the said child. There's one class I do know of that has a said child in it. It's not fair for not just the teacher but the entire classroom. Teacher isn't able to teach the kids if she's constantly being interrupted by a child being a distraction. It's not good for the students either in the classroom. I honestly feel bad for that teacher for trying to teach and have to deal with that child being a distraction. Yelling in class, not listening and more I'm sure. Parents know that their child is like this. So I can only imagine what it's like at home. The whole school and district needs to stop being "gentle" to these kids. Actions have consequences but apparently not at this school or any school in California. Politics, one's personal thoughts and feelings need not to be at school. Keep that to yourself or for your personal life outside of your job. These kids need discipline and teachers need help. I would bet more than 70% can't read or write or do math at grade level. The classrooms at said elementary school that has two grades in one. Well one of the grades are for the kids that got held back and didn't move up to the next grade. I don't care about one's feelings I don't sugarcoat to make anyone feel good. Your feelings don't matter in teaching kids nor do the kids feelings. They need to know the world doesn't revolve around them and as I've stated before actions have consequences or at least they should.

The explanation he gave was "you won't listen carefully together", and at the same time, he grouped other friend groups together every time. I don't understand. Is it our fault that our classmates don't pass the ball to us when we are playing games? People only give it to the kind of "popular kids", okay? Why should the fault be blamed on us? He gave me the feeling that he was targeting both of us. He was particularly disrespectful. He once said to a student, "If you have a brain problem, would you please go to the hospital?" Is this what a teacher should say? Every time when we want to form a group of two, others have already divided us up and only me and my friends are left together. At this time, he will say, "I have told you several times that you cannot form a team with the same person twice. Listen to me." Don't you understand human language? "what is the difference between this and bullying students? He gives me a feeling that he only likes the "popular" kids
