Seriously impressed with customer service and efficiency. They arrived at 7:00 and I had failed to get something I should have. They said "no problem" and went to get what was needed. Crew is replacing my 13 year old smoke demand fixing a switch. Cannot recommend highly enough. read more

Hugo and his helper (didn't get his name) were at my house today installing some recessed lights and wiring a couple bedroom ceilings for fan installation. Very friendly and professional, answered a lot of questions I had, and most importantly, they did very clean and quality work. Will definitely call Roy Electric for future needs. Thanks! read more

We engaged Roy Electric for electrical work necessary while rebuilding the front of our home. This involved mostly the relocation and installation of circuits and lighting. The organization and pace of the work of the two man crew sent was just average. Disappointing was to find that one circuit and an installed can ceiling light were not operable. Call backs to the business offices got no response so that after sufficient time allowed we had to engage another electrical contractor. They had to replace defective equipment, so that we wound up paying twice for these. On the basis of this experience we cannot recommend this company to others. read more

I called to make an appointment but was told that they could not help me because the last appointment would be at 2:00. I am a teacher and cannot get off work and cannot ask for time off because of staffing issues. The person I spoke with did not even try to help me. Very sad. Will not use this company. read more

Great guys. Obliged my million questions, happily. Phenomenal, fast work. On time and great price!

Interior lighting installation. Happy with responsiveness, professional service and value. We called other highly rated services and none were able to even talk w us for a month- they did not seem interested where as although Roys was busy we worked out time that was reasonable. read more

Steve Roy was very responsive and communicative via electronic means (Yelp, email and text), which I really appreciate. His quote for installing an outdoor electric line came in well below quotes from other highly reviewed companies, and he was able to send his team to do the work just a few days later, which I was very impressed by. read more

Hooked up a hot tub and lights for our new deck. Everything works great. Very pleased with the work and would highly recommend.

They installed 2 ceiling fans, a foyer light and ran some HDMI cables for us. They were so nice and professional. Everything turned out great and we definately use them again. read more

I had some work done at my home. I would strongly recommend Roy's Electric, my electrician was Tyler, was so nice and very professional, followed all the social distancing guidelines. He did a fantastic job. I will definitely call them when I start my next project. read more

Hugo and Mark were excellent electricians! They were able to come out quickly and they did a great job installing 3 ceiling fans, 3 pendant lights, and 3 recessed lights. They were polite and they worked quickly! I will reach out to them again should future electrical needs arise. read more

Couldn't have had nicer and more professional guys come out to hang a chandelier. Started out rocky as the job kept getting pushed out, so we had to reschedule to the next day, but once they were out the service was impeccable. Highly recommend their service. read more

I asked for a quote from several electricians for someone to come and replace a ceiling fan on a high ceiling in my living room. I was contacted by Steve and his quote was the cheapest by a pretty good amount. I had measured the distance to the ceiling and told him that i might not be exact but he said don't worry about that and gave me the same lower price. He called me the day of the appointment and was able to come early. He showed up, looked professional as did his assistant. The job was completed quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this company for his speed of service and price. read more

Outstanding service! These guys are professional, quick, efficient, knowledgeable, at a very fair price! I highly recommend this company to help with any of your electrical needs! They checked on several areas of concern, installed some new dimmer switches, a new outlet for a new TV on the wall, and educated me at the same time! I look forward to calling them again for my next project! read more

We have used Roy Electric twice during the last year for a variety of projects (e.g., light switch replacement, doorbell installation, outdoor motion sensitive light installation). In both cases, we were extremely pleased with the professionalism of the electrician, level of service and reasonableness of the prices for the services performed. In addition, Roy Electric is very accessible. I reached an individual on the first call in each case so there wasn't an endless series of telephone tag calls. We highly recommend Roy Electric. read more

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Roy Electric. First of all, the owner never mentioned he was sending two young and inexperienced workers to do recessed lighting in my living room. Of course, I'm trusting them assuming they do know what they are doing if the owner trusts them to complete the job. They ended up cutting 3 holes in my ceiling that were not needed and going through my flooring upstairs damaging my carpet! I'm a pretty understanding person and get that people make mistakes. Once the owner, Steve, arrived it was obvious they had NO idea what they were doing and the mistake should have never been made in what was a pretty common and easy project to undertake. What bothered me the most was the fact that Steve NEVER ONCE apologized for the mistake that had been made, or just say I'm so sorry this happened. He did complete the recessed lights but now I can't find anyone to patch just the ugly holes in my ceiling without paying for patching and repainting the entire downstairs ceiling. Which, of course, is a much more expensive project to undertake which I never wanted nor needed to do. He actually seemed perturbed and rude about the whole thing and wanted to fix it and get out. I will never use him again and I might have given them another chance (or resisted the urge to write a review) if he had just been nice. read more

Hired Roy Electric to replace 3 light fixtures outside our house. John and Ryan arrived promptly and completed the job in under an hour. They even replaced an outdoor light socket casing that had degraded over the years. Fair price quoted and honored after the job was complete. Will use again, thanks! read more

The electrician they sent did a great job. They were quick and responsive. We will definitely use them again.

Great job. Very efficient. Changed out all three external GFI outlets of our house. Cost effective. They changed out all the parts in each outlet without me asking. They stated that their boss expects them to do a great job and would be upset if anything less was done. Seems well run from the top down read more

These guys are GREAT! They were very quick to respond, gave me a reasonable quote, and even called to remind me about the appointment. I've never had an electrician do that before. They also showed up when expected and knew just what to do. Thanks to Tyler, Tyler and Phillipe for installing 3 new smoke detectors and giving me light again! I highly recommend them. read more

I am very impressed. Scheduled for 0700 hours and Tyler and his associate were at the door on time. They listened to what I needed, asked insightful questions, went to work and completed the installation of two recessed lights within 45 minutes. Their estimate was spot on. They left the room spotless (actually cleaner than when it was when they arrived0. Based on this experience my husband schedule a ton of additional electrical work with them before they left the house. Highly recommend. read more

Found Steve after contacting several electricians simultaneously on Yelp, he was among the first to reply and quoted us at by far the lowest price. We needed an outlet installed where we are mounting a TV, which most other companies were charging way too much for. He showed up promptly and him and his team completed the work quickly at a fair price. He gave great advice on placement and what would work best with our TV and mount. Whole process was quick and simple. Would definitely refer to anyone needing electric work done in town. read more

What a pleasure to deal with! I sent a message saying I needed three ceiling fans installed. I received a phone call back within 10 minutes. Roy spoke with me about the job, told me what I needed, scheduled a date and time and we were scheduled. He then showed up exactly when he said he would, took care of the job and charged a very fair, competitive price! Everything works perfectly and I will definitely be using him for my next job! read more

Steve is friendly and professional. He arrived on time and worked fast. Got everything done in under an hour. He was flexible and worked with me to find a good solution to my problem. And as soon as my wife and I figure out what our next steps are, we will definitely bring Steve back out to help us with our electric needs. read more

Roy's electric did several jobs for me last year including switching out two old smoke detectors. The smoke detectors they installed in October or November were chirping for new batteries in January. I called Roy's to ask why I was having to replace the batteries in brand new smoke detectors and was told they couldn't come out to fix it for several days. I had to hire a handyman because one of the smoke detectors is extremely high up and I don't have a ladder than can reach. Come this week and they are chirping again! It hasn't even been 5 months since the battery was replaced in this hard wired smoke detector and it's chirping. I called to ask if there may be some issue with the wiring because the battery is supposed to last 5-7 years according to Duracell. I was told to change the batteries every 6 months (less often than I'm having to change it, which I told the person I talked to - this is averaging every 3 or so months). I informed them that I had lived here for 7 years before I needed to change the battery on the previous smoke detector. Roy's electric laughed at me and asked if he could get a word in and then just told me the same thing about the battery needing to be replaced again. Extremely rude and extremely unhelpful. I will be going with another electrician from now on. read more

Came out the day I called. Great work at a fair price. Would gladly call them again.

I found Roy Electric on home depot site. I asked Them if they could fix a hot neutral reverse on outlets and some broken wiring. He simply said "NO". That's it just no! I found the response to be very unprofessional. read more

Steve was very quick to respond to a quote request, and came in at a very reasonable price. I would recommend Roy Electric to any homeowner or business who likes to support small business owners, wants high quality work and products for an excellent price, and appreciates friendly, on-time and efficient workers. My projects included repairing a bathroom light fixture and replacing a master bedroom cheap light with a modern hanging light fixture. While he was here, he inspected some light switches which it turns out were a fire hazard, in one case, and several wrong light switches for the new dimmable LED bulbs I had purchased and installed. In only one hour, he completed all the projects, because he wisely brought a helper to cut the time in half, and left my wife and I with much improved and safer home lighting and light circuits. Based on other reviews I read before contacting, the owner, Steve Roy is suitable to any type of electrical project, small or large. He oversees every project and leaves every customer highly satisfied. Steve Roy represents a wonderful role model for all American small business owners. read more
