I really like this movie theater. Although it's a bit of a drive to get to Camarillo from Carpinteria, but depending on the time of day, it's only 35-40 minutes. The seatings are stadium reclining wide chairs with faux leather. It's attached to a tray that's swivels in front of you to place your snacks and drink. The screen size is smaller than expected. I enjoy a big wide screen where you feel like you're standing in the movie. But yet the movie I saw had been out for quite a while and perhaps this was one of the smaller rooms that contain a standard sized movie screen. The popcorn butter was quite good. It didn't taste like just flavored oil yet the popcorn itself could have use a little bit more saltiness. I'm big on a well textured properly salted buttery flavored popcorn. A lot can be forgiven if the popcorn can hold up to that standard of yumminess. This was my second time coming to this theater and it's still a great choice! read more

I absolutely love this place! My husband introduced me and I went twice within a week ha. The reclining seats alone are amazing and make the movie experience super great. I only wished we lived closer. They really butter your popcorn and even offer free seasoning (caramel, white cheddar, garlic). Lots of candy options as well. I only dislike the reserved seating but I guess it does serve a purpose and guarantee you a good seat but on a weekend you may want to purchase your seats online at least 3-4 hours in advance. They were booking through the center seats very quickly. But having reclining seats with footrest literally a bunch of lazy boys in a theater for the typical movie ticket price, sitting anywhere is good. Definitely will be back! read more

Love this theater! Hometown feel. Not so crazy, rushed and trafficy. Let's talk about the most important thing at a theater... The popcorn. Great popcorn can be had here! Layered with butter and a flavored salt bar... You can't go wrong! You had me at "salt bar". Lol Seats are recliners - with a push of a button your feet are up and you are on relaxation mode. The chairs have a handy swivel table for your food and a cup holder for your drink. The theater has always been clean and the floors are not sticky. So there you have it.... Thank you to Trevor for fixing a mess up & being so kind. I ordered tickets for Hotel Transylvania 3, & didn't realize until I was sitting in the theater that I was sold tickets for Incredibles 2. (Now I will check my tickets every time to make sure they are correct, whoops.) I called, explained the situation & Trevor said I could get a refund or that he would leave vouchers for me. We go here a lot and never experienced any rowdiness or rude behavior here. I recently lost my travel mug here and checked back with lost and found and the manager did not find it at first but took my name and number and he notified me when one of the others on the clean up crew had it on their cart. This is our go to cinema ! We love the location, and the places to eat around the theater. There is plenty of parking spaces and easy enough to walk safely in the parking area and sidewalks . I love the comfy seats and the yummy concessions and the clean bathrooms and overall facility. But more than anything ...what makes it the best in all CA is the EMPLOYEES! Aj is always so welcoming he has been there for at least 5 years now and it makes me happy to know that we are keeping folks in their jobs . But, all of the employees add their own personality and together it makes a huge difference. They seem very happy which means the management is doing their job. Handicapables: For Deaf and severe to profound hearing loss...they provide a closed caption system. This system works in each theater. You check them out at the box office. There is a limited supply of the cc system. See photo. For Hard of Hearing, or Hearing Impaired...they have sound amplifying headsets. I attached a photo for that system too. Mobility Impaired: Entry level of each theater has wheelchair cut-out in the seats for you to stay in the w/c if you need plus regular seating for your companions. The handicap parking seems to be frequently full, so arrive early just in case you need more time to get inside. Staff is very friendly towards handicapables. YAY ROXY! read more

I think I found my new cheap movie theater! Woohoo :D Thanks to Groupon and Yelp for showing me to $5 Tuesday movies, I'll come here for any recently new movie at a bargain price. They also have other deals too such as family packs on weekends or getting a free small popcorn with a ticket purchase on Fridays I believe. It's well cleaned and there's plenty of bathroom stalls. I came here to watch Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. They have really nice reclined seats, allowing you to enjoy your movie in comfort. The seats can be operated by buttons on the right side of your seat. The sound quality is excellent. They have reserved seating, so you have to decide where to sit when purchasing your tickets. In my opinion this is not optimal when you have a large group of friends and aren't sure how many people will show up; if you don't buy all the tickets at once there's a chance your group could be split up. read more

They've even renovated the lobby and added reclinable seats in their theaters. I haven't been to the Roxy11 in at least 5 years, mostly because their seats made my back ache. My wife wanted to see a movie that wasn't at the other local theater...the movie had been out a few weeks and was available at Roxy. Despite my mild objections we went. To my complete shock, this movie was being shown at a theater that had the most Amazing seats!... in the style of a recliner, not as plush as a lazy-boy but no less awesome. It can me positioned a zillion different ways and if you're not careful, you might fall asleep during the movie! Because these seats are so big the amount of people who can accommodate this particular theater is very limited, which is just fine with me! I guess things do change for the better, I'll have to consider the Roxy11 more often especially if I can learn these awesome seats are available at the movie I want to see. We saw our movie during a matinee and at that price($8.50?) it's a real value! read more

Oh man, worth the drive from Ventura just for the relaxing comfy recliner chairs. Seriously, all I need is my blankie haha Also, Tuesdays are even more affordable ($6 any movie all day long. Additional fees if you are watching a 3D movie. ) They're reserved tickets too, so no need to cross your fingers hoping you'll get good seats. Concession store is pretty much what you expect. Popcorn, slushies and they also have mini churros and mini corn dogs, along with all other candy. Employees seem pretty pleasant too. read more

Was here last night..usually it's pretty quick to buy tickets and get in which is nice. The loyalty program is really good and I love all the upgrades they made especially the spacious reclining chairs with footrest and personal eating tray. The new seating and the added selections in the snack bar all make coming here even better. Their food prices also seem to be a little less than other theaters around and I really like the reserved seating. The $5 movie Tuesday deal is also good..we sometimes get together with family and go to the movies since it's such a great deal. There are a few negatives..they never seem to have enough staff working the snack bar and they are always super slow. If you go at 9:30 pm or later the blue Icee flavor is always mixing. Why can't they set it for a later time? Also, they really need to upgrade the restrooms and clean them. They're always dirty and the sinks are gross. Otherwise this is my number one choice for a movie theater at this time but stay away from the restroom if you can help it. If you can't most of the stalls are usable. read more

This is the most comfortable movie theater I've been to. The reclining seats are awesome. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. They feel like Lazy Boys. I was surprised by how much room there is between you and the person next to you. Ticket prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking. There are a lot of nice casual restaurants nearby like Thai Peru. This movie theater has blown me away. The seats are better than the seating at my house! They are large, comfy, have leg rests, and you get a decent sized table. There is tons of room between your seat and the person in front of you, as well as plenty of space to the sides. I almost didnt want to leave when our movie ended. I have been coming to this theater for what seems like forever. I am absolutely thrilled with all the upgrades that have been done. The new reclining leather comfy seats are amazing! They're so great it would be hard to stay awake in a boring movie. They also have the trays that swing over to hold your food items. Stadium seating is great. It's wonderful they offer $5 Tuesday movies. You can pre purchase your tickets online and print them at the kiosk before entering. This will help avoid lines at the ticket booth. The place seems clean and easy to navigate. The big open lobby is very welcoming and helps not make it feel crowded even when it's busy. On occasion this theater will have movies open up the night of the premier and before other local theaters. As most movie theaters the snack bad can be quiet pricy but one of the great things is you do not have to purchase the flavored salts like at other places. They have all flavors out for unlimited use which I love! Come kick back and watch a movie. read more

This use to be such great theatre. Tonight and on previous visits the theatre is hot! As in it is very warm inside the theaters. They don't turn on the ac until after the show begins . The heat in there is enough for me to go find another favorite theatre. Plus there were no bathrooms! You have to go outside the theatre and go in a bathroom trailer. With my popcorn, I got the last in the barrel. It didn't taste very good. It was like eating scraps of popcorn. So the big question is, should I go use the bathroom trailers, and miss a lot of the movie, or just hold it. read more

Trying to use the online ticket ordering. Keeps giving the message "Layout Failure. The seat layout could not be retrieved. We Apologize:There was a problem retrieving the seat layout. If you continue to have this issue, please contact our customer service team." Tried it on multiple devices, and laptop, same results. Tried different show times and movies, same result. So I contacted the customer service team, they said they would get back to me within 72 hours. That's a lot of ticket sales down the drain for today's movies. Good theater to go to, a little out of the way, but worth it, reclining leather seats w/ swivel trays. Nice stuff. The floors aren't sticky in the theater either which is beyond great. The screens are well maintained and are torn or dirty or covered w/ Pepsi, like you see some places. 4 star because: 1. The snack bar is lacking, of course it's over priced like all places but they just lack variety. 2. They need more advertisement, I like to walk a theater and see what is coming out soon. I saw ads I already plan on seeing, but there's only 10 or so posters, and 1 stand-up poster. More advertisement = more business. 3. Their "condiment bar" is filthy and frankly I'm afraid to touch anything on it. 4. The bathroom was also filthy, I was there at 12:15pm, and it looked like a tornado ran through the men's bathroom. Horrible. But everything aside it is a theater, so I don't expect it to be glorious and ritzy, just cleaner. I saw 6 guys waiting to clean the theater I walked out of, they could've went and cleaned the bathroom while they were waiting. read more

The Roxy is the best theater! Easy parking, very comfortable, large reclining seats, and you can make reservations in advance, either online for a fee or at the window. Restrooms are clean and large, which is a nice feature. Movie selections are pretty good and current. read more
