The highlight of our Minneapolis trip was Roxys! We found it the night before online and decided to go. Its set in a theater next to the diner, and is a well polished show. My friend ordered food (she said pretty good) and I just ordered drinks. The show was spectacular and gives a true cabaret type of feel. It was so personable and the performers were all fantastic! I loved that there was a chance to connect with them after the show on the rooftop. Highly recommend! read more

I was visiting from California. I had an exceptional dining experience at the brunch. The performance truly left a lasting impression on me. The talents of Nina, Bebe, and Monica were showcased through their remarkable costumes and outstanding performances. Following the show, the cast graciously participated in a meet-and-greet session with the audience. The culinary offerings and service were superb. Our server demonstrated exceptional attentiveness and care in accommodating my gluten allergy requirements. Most definitely will be returning soon. read more

The drag show is very entertaining. Bring $1 bills to tip the queens. They do a good job and interact with the audience. The brunch has many different options including mocktails, gluten free pancakes, and gluten free bread options. Park across the street in the Loring Parking ramp and bring your ticket in for validation from your server- this gets you $10 parking. read more

Amazing halloween drag brunch at roxy's. The food was good, the environment was fun and inclusive. There were even kids there and the queens were all very welcoming. Do you want a place to embarrass your friends on their birthday (or at least make them get on stage and do a shot)? Roxy's is your place. We went to their drag brunch for a birthday, and absolutely milked it for all it was worth (the friend got lots of free drinks and we had a great time heckling them for their behavior after). The performers were a delight, and the opening number, which is CUSTOM composed, was very fun. The drinks were appropriately strong and campy, and I would absolutely go again. They also take Venmo, if you are like me and haven't carried cash since 2010, so that's a plus. read more

What an amazingly fun night out with family and friends. We had a group of 6 and all were entertained. The queens were all spectacular! We will certainly be back. PS I also love how supportive they are of the community with all of their different offerings like the bingo nights to raise money for non-profits and the free movie nights they offer. Roxy's is great! I went for Drag Queen Charity Bingo and had a blast. Such an awesome concept for bingo. They raised over $1,000 for the charity! Cards are cash only. Bingo - 10/5 Monica West and Nina DiAngelo were fabulous hosts and bingo was so fun! I really enjoyed the unique rounds. Service - 4/5 Everyone was so kind! Though one extra server would have been nice. I felt bad for the one there, but she did great! Drinks - 4/5 I had the Minneapolitan and the Roxy's Old Fashioned. The old fashioned was great! The Minneapolitan was a little too sweet. Food - 4/5 I love that you can order breakfast in the evening! Though I opted for chicken wings and fries haha. The wings were good, though maybe a little too breaded. Fries were excellent! Parking can be a little tricky, as its only metered street parking. read more

So bummed by our experience. We signed up for tickets well in advance for drag queen charity bingo. We received several reminders, including text messages up to an hour prior asking for confirmation of our attendance. We were traveling a long distance to attend and made sure to confirm as prompted. When we finally get there, we ask someone at the host stand where bingo was being held. He responds with "Oh, it is canceled tonight." No explanation or apology. :-( They clearly had our contact information to continuously send reminders, so we were very frustrated to not be contacted when they knew the event wasn't happening. This would have been a 1-star, but we like that they frequently do help charities and support LGBTQ+ initiatives. read more

If you are looking for a good fun place to celebrate a benchmark with friends, I would recommend this place. If you are a single traveler and you like to watch drag queen shows, RUN OVER HERE. I came by myself and was a little nervous. I sat at the bar and had a great view. Having been to many drag queen shows in my lifetime outside MN, I noticed: * The ambiance is full of fun and festivity. * Staff works hard for their money * Food from the diner is very good - as a hungry vegetarian, I was in heaven with the veggie skillet. * Place is packed with people and groups from all sizes * First drag queen show I have ever attended where the show consist around giving $1 tips - you can get your dollars changed there. I like it and would recommend knowing that one will spend at least $60 - entrance plus one entree with food tip. It would be more if you get drinks and the recommended stack of $1 tips. I spent over $100 and I bet this is the norm. read more

My coworker and I were finally able to attend a Thursday night bingo for charity and had a lot of fun! I didn't win bingo but I wasn't super bummed, the prizes seemed meh - we did wing some raffles and earned a bunch of money money for the charity. Monica West was a great host and Summer was a great attendant for drinks and food. We would definitely go again! Parking is easy, I can always find a meter not too far away. Docking a point since their vegan options are next to invisible. I hope they improve someday! I can really just get fries which were OK, very salty. Bingo was absolutely not crowded...It was a fun bunch and odds of getting bingo are higher since there weren't too many people in attendance. read more

Drag Bingo is amazing. SO FUN!! As they say on their website, all ages are welcome. I probably wouldn't rush to bring young kids here, but it would be fine. Our waitress was fabulous. Our food was between good and fine. Quesadillas were perfect, onion rings were way too crispy and mostly breading. The sodas are all local places which I think is nice. read more

Definitely getting the poutine again it was peak cinema. Our server was very nice. She recommended us to get the poutine with the chicken gravy. It was delicious 10 out of 10. My wife got the patty melt It was amazing. The diner was clean and it was a good vibe in the room. You could hear the performance from the diner room. It was amazing me and my wife will come back soon. Highly recommend, please support this business. read more

Love love LOVED it here at Roxy's! My boyfriend and I came here last night and had such a fun experience with all the queens. He's never been to a drag show, and this was the perfect icebreaker. Nina DiAngelo, Monica West, Tasha Long and Maxie were all incredible entertainers and great performers. Looking forward to seeing BeBe Zahara Benet next time! We will be coming back with more singles in hand!!! My only piece of advice is that it gets VERY loud very quickly in such a small space to perform. Earplugs are a good idea if you are hearing sensitive. Food and drink were all reasonably priced and the leg glasses were ADORABLE. Servers were all very pleasant! read more

Went here for the first time for a drag bingo night on a Tuesday (proceeds go to a non profit of the week which is awesome!) It was very fun and each round was unique! Monica West was a hoot as the bingo host and knocked it out of the park with "Since You've Been Gone". Liked the array of no alcohol/mocktails on the menu. There was one server, Riley, for the whole room and she did a great job serving a lot of people. My bingo partner had a burger and fries which she enjoyed. I may have snuck a few fries. They were good. The room has lots of seating and a good vibe. I will definitely come back for more bingo fun. read more

Yes yes yes to all of it. The drinks are great, the food is good, we love the diner and the show is the BEST. I like that it's a smaller venue, it's more personal and you get up close to the performers. A word to the wise it is VERY VERY loud. It has to be to drown out the horror of us all singing along drunk as skunks as loud as possible. Bring earplugs. I did that the second time around and it was a game changer! You can hear everything and even your friends talking better and you aren't damaging your hearing! Bring LOTS of cash for tips. You can exchange 20's for 1's etc.. but be a pro and bring small bills and tip generously. They put this show on a couple times a night on the weekends and it's a boatload of effort. Pay them the equivalent of the joy and memories that your are experiencing! You can order food during the show, but my advice is maybe get some fries and stick to the delicious drinks, then hit the diner afterwards for a full drunk diner meal. Its better that way- I promise. Plus you can gush over your favorite songs and performers while stuffing your beautiful face. Roxy's is attached to the Nicollet Diner and it's open 24 hrs I think- even post COVID. I love the breakfast after a night of indulgence. They also have tasty ice cream shakes if you can eat dairy.. The bathrooms are non gender conforming, so if you can't manage a great time, tipping big, eating amazing diner food, supporting our LGBTQ ‍ community and performers then go find a Dennys in the suburbs. read more

Decided on a whim to purchase tickets...what a great time! There were five of us and we all ordered cocktails. Service was perfect. The food was excellent. Then the show started...so MUCH fun! What an amazing place. We visited for Sunday drag brunch and could not have been happier with the experience. The entertainment was phenomenal. They do such a great job. The food and drink were so good. So many places have great entertainment but the food is subpar. This is definitely not true here. The food is excellent. Our table had a Sam's skillet, pancakes, eggs Benedict. It was all fantastic. The staff was amazing also. We will be back every time we come to the Twin Cities. read more

The entertainment was so fabulous, the food was amazing, but the music was turned up way too loud!! My Apple Watch wouldn't stop telling me that I was going to get "hearing damage". Had tinnitus issues for a few days after the show. I would definitely return to Roxy's but not until they make it safe for my hearing. read more

They will take in your preference on how close you want to be to the stage (remember those in the front couple row may be picked on lol). Which is good, because you can't get served at the bar window inside of the venue. Tim Slagle's act included offensive jokes about women, LGBTQ+ people, and Somalis that were misogynistic, racist, and homophobic. Instead of being entertaining, the performance was mean-spirited and uncomfortable. We got up and left before the show ended, and we weren't alone. Hearing from staff on the way out that this is how he performs every time was especially concerning. Since Acme continues to book him, it's fair to assume they are comfortable associating their brand with that type of material. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last.

There is an elevator, a large staircase bathrooms for men and women, and a small bar before you enter the theater. A lovely space for a show and relatively easy to navigate for food, parking, etc., even with a stroller (this is NOT a kids' show) or a person using a walker or wheelchair.

I live in the rural area outside of Minneapolis, so I drove 40 minutes to enjoy fun and create comedy with other non-comedy people. Other average people. Not what happened. Let me explain... This is all new to me. So, during one of the warm-up exercises. It was the one-word poem exercise. Sounds cool. The fours words leading up to me, were, "The"..."Cows"... "Were"... "Making"... Which then left me to think up a word that kept the poem alive... I picked the word "Whoopie". The room stopped. 3 to 4 people in the group, which told me that the word Whoopie was inappropriate, and I needed to change the word choice right away. They all had urgency in their voices... I was taken aback... What? My word "Whoopie" caused you to stop everything? I was only doing what felt natural. I was told by 4 people that my improv was wrong. I needed to change my word choice. WTF? Really? Whoopie? Woke people are everywhere. They stand and make you feel shamed into thinking just like them. No more free expression. All this shaming because of the word Whoopie? If you're thinking of taking Improv classes at Comedy Sportz. Read what I've experienced and go if you want. I'm totally off this group. Nothing personal Comedy S, your people are too judgmental of everyone outside their circle. I said the word, WHOOPIE? REALLY? Apple picking is one of my ultimate favorite fall activities, we went this past weekend hoping for some Honeycrisp apples, but they weren't quite ready yet which ended up being a blessing in disguise because we picked a bag full of sweet tango instead. Honeycrisp has always been my go to, but I think my new favorite is sweet tango because I love their little size. Usually, I can't finish a whole Honeycrisp on my own, but I'll find myself eating two or three sweet tangos in a day! My husband and I are obsessed, and we may be coming back at least once if not twice before the season ends.

They have "Tickets" and "Wristbands" buying a "ticket" makes you eligible for a "wristband, but they are not the same thing. They had a terrible solution. Where you wait in an insanely long line (literally an hour long) to get a "ticket" then you have to go all the way back to another insanely long line to get a "wristband" in order to get in the hayride that takes you to the flowers (they would not allow people to walk). There was not clear signage which lead to a lot of confusion that really slowed things down. What made things worse is that we were there right at opening time, so we completed the idiotic process properly. But about an hour in the staff realized how bad their idea was, and tried to combine the lines which led to a ton of people being able to budge us, which was really unfortunate and frustrating. I certainly would never visit this place again on a weekend. It was such a poor experience. Maybe going during the week when visitation is not at peak could be feasible.

Parking was free and easy. Once you get to the entrance gate, you'll be greeted by staff to show your admission ticket or buy tickets. It's reasonable priced. I purchased the admission with ride and getting a sunflower option. Service was fast and friendly. There's a station near the front to line up for the hay ride which approximately runs every 15-20 minutes. But my friends and I decided to explore other stations before doing the hay ride. There were mini houses and mini log cabin displays to check out. There was a mini kart race track that adults and kids can actually grab a kart and peddle around the track. That was a fun experience! There's also a okay ground that both kids and adults can play Through the courses.. Once we got through the stations, we headed back to the entrance to wait for the hayride. The hayride would bring us way back into the fields where you can see them growing peppers, sunflowers and pumpkins. We were dropped off into the sunflower fields to browse, take pics and then eventually able to pick a sunflower or flowers form the fields at the end per the packages we laid for. I had to leave early so I was t able to cut one for myself. But would love to come back another time to experience it again haha.
