Key West Omellette -shrimp, fish, peppers delicious sauce and of course eggs - may not be available all of the time as it was a special

OMG. Best breakfast place I've been to in Jackson. Large variety cooked fresh. Go early or wait in line. Don't worry it's worth the wait

Biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs.

I've just discovered this staple in Jackson... shows we take for granted what's in our back yard!! My son told me this was a great place for breakfast and he is correct! Wow, the biscuits and gravy are phenomenal! They are the best that I've had anywhere! It reminds me of my Southern Home!! I don't even have to add pepper to them. I'll try something else eventually but for now this is my favorite, especially when feeling homesick. The service is top notch and so choreographed. It's amazing watching how the orders go in and everyone works around each other to keep this busy spot going. Ambience... reminds me of going to diners when I was little. Busy people, yummy smells, friendly staff, cleaning constantly, yet informal and down to earth. It's a wonderful place to dine with friends or alone!

If nostalgia had a flavor, this café serves it sunny-side up. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with vintage charm, the smell of fresh coffee, and a staff so friendly they could probably make burnt toast feel special. The pancakes? Fluffier than a 1950s poodle skirt. The bacon? Crisp perfection. And the coffee keeps coming like it's trying to win your heart -- and honestly, it might. If you're looking for the kind of breakfast that makes you forget your phone and just smile at your plate, this retro gem is it.

Brunch at Roxy: cheesesteak hoagie, biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns. Coffee, kept topped up.

We ate here at the Roxy Café while checking out cars to buy in Jackson. I had passed the Roxy several times, but never stopped in, always curious and attracted by their retro sign. We parked in back and entered through the door that said entrance which led us through the whole kitchen past the cooks and dishwashers into the dining room. Two waitresses said hello when we entered, and we sat down quickly. After our order was taken from the menu under the glass table top, our coffees were filled steadily, and all our selections were good. Summoning up, the Roxy was everything I hoped it would be, and I definitely will go again anytime I get the chance!

This place is a classic-there are so many like this little gem hidden across America-- if you're willing to try. So much better than any chain restaurant- higher quality of food, staff and experience. Everything is made from scratch and everything tastes great-he had the steak and eggs while I had the eggs over easy and delicious sausage. Food comes fast and our service was exemplary. Our waitress told us all the staff have all been there a long time and said, " they treat us right." I like that a lot.

Well, I had heard about this place from my trucking app and decided to come by up here in the outskirts of Detroit. Parking was a little hectic, but I got it down the block. When I arrived I definitely wanted the patio and would be great for breakfast. The inside was packed already. The menu has a very large selection but I already know what I had wanted. I went with the Corned beef with hash browns. Very fulfilling, delicious and satisfying. The portion was so big I took the other half in a box. The waitress was very nice and this made my breakfast a hit. Thank you Roxy cafe for providing a hot delicious meal to the truckers! Will for come back always.

Great service. The food was sell worth the wait. Saturday morning breakfast was busy. So suggest you get there early.

Just an awesome cafe with delicious and different breakfast choices. The Breakfast jambalaya is mouth watering!! A little spice to a morning meal. Service is fast even in busy hours. Nothing fancy just a homey feeling dining experience.

Love the food and the staff, great value for the money. My only problem is space is super super limited and can take forever to get seated.

Great food and fantastic, friendly service. An old time style diner with a broad breakfast menu (try the cinnamon roll).

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We ended up at Cracker Barrel because it was one of the only restaurants anywhere near our hotel,…read morewhich is usually how Cracker Barrel happens. Not complaining though -- I've been to Cracker Barrel before and I genuinely love it. Comfort food, rocking chairs, and a gift shop you accidentally walk through every single time? Sign me up. If you have ever been to one, the place is very comforting, and reminds you of taking a wagon train out east. We placed our order and quickly realized our server was probably new. I actually admire anyone jumping into the trenches and figuring things out on the fly, because we've all been there. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to have much backup, and things started slipping through the cracks. A few forgotten items here, a missing thing there -- nothing malicious, just very clearly a learning curve in progress. I do give him credit for the effort and staying polite throughout. When the food finally came out, it was the usual Cracker Barrel situation: portions large enough to feed a small family. We ordered a variety of items -- baked potato, side of broccoli, a NY steak, and I went with the pot roast skillet. Flavor-wise, the skillet was good, but wow... it leaned hard into the salt. Like, one more sprinkle and we'd be in ocean territory. That said, the pecan skillet completely redeemed the experience. Absolutely delicious. Sweet, comforting, and exactly what you want when you're eating at a place known for comfort food. Overall, classic Cracker Barrel vibes: big portions, familiar flavors, a bit of chaos, and at least one dish that makes you glad you stopped. I'd still come back, maybe just with a glass of water ready for that pot roast. Oh and of course to the gift shop that has everything under the sun. I made it out with some candy sticks, some bit-o-honey, since i haven't seen that candy in ages and some other classic candies.

Small spot. Thankfully we had part of our party there with a table…read more We ordered a Coney Island hotdog, NY hotdog, eggs and hash brown and toast, rooster omelet, turkey Rueben and small baby Greek salad and some coffees. The NY dog tasted better than the Coney dog. The coney didn't taste the way it was expected, but it had a lot of ground meat on it. The egg, hash brown and toast was as expected. The rooster omelet wasn't too bad. The turkey Rueben was okay, would have been better with kraut instead of creamy slaw. The Greek salad was so-so, nothing so special about it. The onion rings were good at least. The woman at the checkout gave me such a hard time for asking for a copy of the credit card receipt, she asked why the itemized isn't good enough. She told me if I want the credit card receipt, she's taking the itemized bill. I said I would still like a copy of both the itemized as well as the credit card receipt. She placed both back on the counter top with a bit too much drama. How lazy, rude, totally unprofessional and unpleasant was the checkout staff member. The table service and food was a 3. The checkout service was a big fat zero! The experience was ruined by one person here.
