Another excellent adventure with Dr. Bean and his team at Complete Dental Care! From the initial…read morecontact with the front office staff, through the scheduling, preparation, and the actual procedure and follow-up, every aspect of the visit was efficient and relaxed. It is the reason that I am willing to make the five-hour round-trip drive to Greenville for dental care. One of the most frustrating aspects of getting old is dealing with compromised, failing teeth, and at 70 years, I've had my share. Whether due to injury, disease, or shoddy past care, if you are missing teeth or if it hurts to chew, it affects one of the great joys of life - eating! I've been a client of Dr. Bean for the past 3 or 4 years, and I can attest to the exceptionally high level of care that I receive from him and his well-tuned machine. Dr. Bean has assembled a very capable team. From the front-office staff, to the dental assistants and hygienists and associate dentists, the emphasis is on making the client comfortable, and making the visit as easy and efficient as possible. As soon as I plop down into the dreaded Chair, the emphasis is on making sure that I'm comfortable...I especially like the big, soft blankie that was offered. (Hey - I'm OLD, cut me some slack!) One thing that I really appreciate about the Good Doctor is his attention to my pain level. If I feel pain at any point during the procedure, I am to raise my left hand and let him know, and he just makes it better. (I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but when relief is just a hand-wave away, why suffer?) Dr. Bean is very good at explaining what he's about to do, and will explain it at the level of detail that you desire. The use of technology helps ensure that he and his team have a very good idea of the work that needs to be done, and allows them to plan and execute efficiently. It also helps the patient to visualize the process. Another aspect of the visit that I really appreciate is the level of education that is occurring during the procedure. Doc is continually communicating with his assistant(s), asking questions, explaining why he is doing something, asking gently probing questions, mentoring. Speaking with these folks afterward, they seem to genuinely appreciate the interaction, commenting on how it much they learn from him. One thing that really frustrates me about some dental encounters is when the doctor is feeling chatty, and asks "So, do you have any plans for this weekend?" - and then shoves both hands into my mouth up to the elbows...my reply comes out something like "Mmphv jmvumphh..." With Dr. Bean, if he asks a question, he lets you answer, asks follow-up if necessary, and then moves on. Follow-up contact after the procedure is great. Any meds were called in by the staff up front to ensure that you have time to pick them up at the pharmacy and have them on hand before the procedure. I always get at least one contact later in the day to make sure that my pain level is okay and that there are no issues or questions that need to be addressed. If the medications need to be adjusted, they take care of that. Dr. Bean and his team are a class act. They are pleasant, efficient, and their emphasis on patient care is excellent. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I do not recommend this office. I called because of the strong Yelp reviews, but unfortunately, my…read moreexperience was the opposite. This was a one-minute phone call, and it was enough to turn me off. I explained that we had already done a consultation with another oral surgeon in Saginaw and were shocked by their request for $2,000 upfront, which is why I was calling around for options. Before I could even explain further, the woman immediately cut in with, "Wisdom teeth removal is $4,000-$6,000," which felt dismissive and rushed. When I asked how that could apply to an insured patient--since in-network providers are limited to insurance-allowed amounts--she clarified that was the cash price, not the insured price. I explained that we have insurance and even dual dental coverage. She then told me they only bill the primary insurance, expect patients to pay the balance up front, and require the patient to file the secondary insurance themselves. While this may be common with some private dental offices in DFW, that doesn't make it reasonable. National dental groups understand how to bill properly by submitting both insurance plans and only collecting what they reasonably expect the final patient balance to be. In our case, that meant going from being asked to pay $2,000 upfront elsewhere to paying $300 upfront, with the expectation that the full amount would likely be refunded once secondary insurance processed. When I declined to continue the conversation, her response was a cold, uninterested "Have a good day." No explanation, no attempt to discuss options, and no effort to retain a potential patient. I never even got to this office's actual pricing because I was being rushed off the phone. For comparison, I contacted Monarch Dental, and the experience was night and day. They reviewed both insurance plans over the phone, gave a clear explanation, and booked my son's surgery in under 48 hours. The surgeon's reviews were excellent, and the process was seamless. We're now booked and moving forward--but this office lost a potential customer due to poor communication and lack of patient care. Final recommendation: if you have secondary insurance or want clear billing and options, proceed with caution here. National dental groups offer a far smoother, more patient-centered experience.

Dr. Lee acknowledged our concerns and made sure we were placed in the best hands with an on site anesthesiologist for our daughter's sensitive case. She had several extractions and was taken good care of. Following surgery, I had questions about the medications and they helped me figure out her schedule. This is a very well run business with caring people. My daughter also LOVED the added touch of the prescription ice cream!

I felt like I was just another number in his office and on follow up visits his staff was rather rough taking out my stitches and based on his Blaise attitude when I had my follow ups I could not tell if the procedure went well or not. I cannot recommend Dr. Wallace and his team highly enough…read more I've now had two oral surgeries with Dr. Wallace, and after both experiences I can say with complete confidence that he is one of the most compassionate, skilled, and genuinely caring physicians I've ever had the privilege of seeing. My first experience with him was when I was in excruciating dental pain and desperately needed an appointment. I was honestly starting to have those "tie a string around the tooth and slam the door" thoughts because the pain was so unbearable. Despite his busy schedule, he saw me immediately and had me scheduled for surgery that same week. I have significant dental anxiety, an extensive dental history, and a true dental phobia after previous negative experiences. Somehow, Dr. Wallace recognized how anxious I was without me having to say much. He took the time to answer every question, addressed every concern I had, and never once made me feel rushed. His calm, reassuring demeanor completely changed what I expected to be a terrifying experience. The day of surgery couldn't have gone more smoothly. His surgical staff was exceptional--kind, compassionate, and incredibly reassuring from start to finish. Later that evening, Dr. Wallace personally texted me to check on how I was doing. He was also quick to respond when I had questions after surgery, even later in the evening, and I was genuinely touched when I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers wishing me a speedy recovery. Those gestures may seem small, but they spoke volumes about the kind of physician he is. Unfortunately, a few days ago I found myself back in his office after breaking another tooth completely at the gum line while eating pizza. I was once again in excruciating pain and assumed I'd have to wait days to be seen. Instead, he squeezed me into his already packed schedule the very next day. Just like the first time, everything was outstanding. The surgery went smoothly, the staff was wonderful, and Dr. Wallace once again personally checked on me after the procedure. That level of care is incredibly rare these days. Beyond being an outstanding oral surgeon, Dr. Wallace is simply an exceptional human being. He has a calming presence, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of making an experience that most people dread feel so much less intimidating. For someone with dental anxiety, that means more than I can put into words. I've had an extensive dental journey over the years--at one point alone I had 54 dental appointments in a single year with various providers. Because of that, I have a pretty good basis for comparison when I say that Dr. Wallace truly stands out. His technical skill is excellent, but what makes him exceptional is the compassion, empathy, and genuine concern he shows every patient. If you're looking for an oral surgeon who is not only highly skilled but also treats you with kindness, respect, and humanity, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Dr. Wallace. I'm incredibly grateful I found him.
