Finally, after months of stress and having a new doctor who couldn't see me for FOUR months out, I'd had it and called a decent rep at United who helped me get another doctor. This time I was blessings with a doctor who obviously cares about seeing patients and not making them wait for months with concerning issues. I found Dr. Pascua! She isn't only analytical going over your medical history, she listens to all you say and explains what could be happening and why. Things not brought to my attention before that my other doctor should have caught. So far she's getting to the bottom of my scary episodes with hypoglycemia and other issues that need to be addressed. I've been wearing a monitor and feel much safer as she's sent me to specialists that are truly helping. At my age, it's important to have a doctor you can count on. There's even an app to check all your appointments and future necessary routine exams. Boom, it's all there from A to Z. Even your co-payments are listed! I feel so fortunate that something so bad turned out to be a so good. It's a secure feeling knowing you're being taken care of healthwise.

It was very inconvenient to schedule (I wanted to go somewhere with weekend appointments so I wouldn't have to take a day off work & they said they couldn't send the info to that office because they couldn't locate it even though I gave them the address & phone number). So I ended up going to the office she recommended and they ended up causing me to have to pay thousands of dollars for the colonoscopy because they used a billing code that was not within the preventive care billing codes & they are unwilling to change the code to reflect the fact that I was only there for a screening. I told the doctor about my being charged for the free screening and she stood behind the other office's billing codes without really seeming to care. I have now been contesting these charges for about a year, involving the local DA, legal aid, and the Department of Insurance. What a terrible experience!

The test isn't covered by my insurance and it was not cheap and neither was the measles test I didn't need. I have medical anxiety, which I made clear, and this just validated my distrust of doctors. She also barely let me talk, didn't include me in any decision making, and didn't give me time to ask questions. Funny how these things make my anxiety and heart rate spike in an appointment, but treating a patient with respect is harder than implying they have a heart condition or drug addiction. Don't see Dr. Alexander unless you want to be stigmatized for having medical anxiety/white coat syndrome and an Adderall prescription.

Doctor Lindsay is not just the typical family care physician (a job at which she excels), but also a very professional healthcare manager, caring for all aspects of your overall health and well being, including preventative measures. She does not hesitate to call in specialists, or contact community support services, when needed, and makes sure all specialist are talking to each other and that all medical treatments are coordinated and consistent . Being a concierge practice, she is able to take as much time as necessary to address your medical needs. In summary, Dr Lindsay is an extremely competent, caring, and professional primary care physician. She is easy to talk to and always listens to, and addresses, your cares and concerns. You would be hard pressed to find a better primary care physician. I wish she was closer so I could still use her.
