Our doodle, Desi, that wouldn't hurt anything at your restaurant.
    Mindy M.

While out cruising in our Jeep today we decided to stop and eat here. Prior to stopping I called and asked if the patio was dog friendly and was told that typically it's fine as long as we sit at the picnic tables on the far end. This is perfectly fine as our doodle is calm and couldn't really care less about people or food. However upon arrival I was then told that now there was a party playing cornhole, not using the picnic tables, and we can no longer sit there. Glad we waited out time, I climbed in and out of our jeep 2 weeks post total knee replacement to be treated like crap. Definitely will not ever return with or without our doodle. Poor service and the others sitting on the patio were perfectly fine with us staying.

My black and blue brisket salad, dark parts were burnt brisket

Stopped here on the way on our travels. Saw this restaurant and decided to have lunch because we enjoy BBQ, smoked food etc. esp chicken and brisket. The menu is on a wall board with a variety of smoked food choices. However the only chicken they had was smoked chicken breast or pulled chicken, no bbq or smoked chicken meals or parts which was unusual I thought. However there were an assortment of other menu choices. I ordered the black and blue brisket salad. Portions adequate and just a bit pricey in my opinion. My salad was $9.75 .The brisket had a lot of burnt bark which was so hard I couldn't chew it, otherwise parts of the meat were tasty. My dining mate enjoyed his pulled chicken sandwich, with a small side of smoked beans for , $6.95 . Chicken was tender and smokey but nothing exceptional. Only a sweet bbq sauce was on all the tables, no other choices available. Drinks such as soda and cold tea available around $3.00 a drink. The ambience was rustic, but not overly bright . Staff were friendly. Not sure we would return if we passed through again.

    Hot BBQ wings

Always delicious, but I will say several times I have been here the wings are fantastic when warm/hot. But whomever is reheating them must be microwaving because several are actually cold in the middle. Not lukewarm but actually cold. We like the Hot BBQ sauce on them. Perfect amount of heat and sweet. The atmosphere is very laid back and down home BBQ. Service is simple. Order at the counter then take your number to anywhere you want to sit and they bring it to you. Just no frills BBQ and that's just fine. If only they get those wings warmer....

    Good crowd

Friday night pit stop on our vacation. Staying closet by for the night. WHAT A FUN PLACE!! rowdy local crowd. Friendly people. Amazing menu- pretty full of nearly every meat and sandwich and side you could imagine. They smoke their steaks outside. They look amazing as they go by our table and I wish we would've gone with one. The lady at the register - where we ordered- said they're known for their steaks and pork chops. They're out of pork chops. So those must be amazing also. But we ordered the nachos and burgers. Had great drinks. Full bar. Live music.

I'm updating my original 4-star review because 1) they no longer have sweet tea and this is a BBQ joint And 2) They were proudly blaring Morgan Wallen this weekend which is a hard no from me. I like my BBQ without any hint of racism. The food is decent. Takes awhile. Sometimes runs out on the weekend.

Get one of their steaks, best local steaks in Jackson. The BAP is a great hit with brisket! Blacken chicken is great too.

Our favorite stop after a backpacking trip in Zaleski State Park. Always good BBQ but I wish they would offer ribs again!

They were out of pork, brisket, chicken, ribs, and Mac and cheese. Not exactly the bbq pork joint I was expecting.

2 minutes after we took our seats, they brought out our brisket and pulled pork, including our side dishes.

Unique restaurant located at the gates of the Hocking Hills. The reclaimed materials - such as…read morereclaimed bricks and hand hewn beams - create an interesting atmosphere. Staff at the front desk were friendly, but had a hard time pulling themselves from their phones to seat us. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. The mini cornbread muffins were delicious. The steak and ribs were cooked perfectly, although I would have liked a little more seasoning on the ribeye. The baked beans were on the sweet side, but overall a good flavor. Our baked potatoes weren't done. They brought a second potato and it was still undercooked. We didn't eat it. Overall, we left feeling satisfied and had more than enough to eat. Bring your appetite and lots of cash because they'll have you pay the card processing fee and an additional "supplemental fee" for added fun. I would have taken a picture of the food, but we were too hungry for a photoshoot. Overall we would recommend it, just don't get the baked potato.

You can thank me for going through the suffering. My initial thought was the ribs, but I had to see how bad it all was, so I ordered the Meat Sampler. So, let's sample it. Ribs: They were the best of the meat. Yes, pull off the bone, but lacks in flavor or flavor compared to all that I've ever eaten. Scale of 1-10 (5). Smoked Turkey: Actually, this wasn't bad. It was actually moist, though I could not have eaten more than given to me as it wore on me. (6) Beef Brisket: It is true what you see in the pictures. I thought I was in the Sahara while trying to eat it. Drier than dry. No flavor and hating every bite. Their decent sauce didn't help. (1) Pulled Pork: Wood shavings comes to mind. So dry and tasteless. I'd rather eat the wood shavings. Sauce was no help. (1) Pulled chicken: Couldn't tell if it was the pork or not. It was so dry and tasteless. The pork and chicken taste the same and are the same dry texture, so you no sauce doesn't help. They forget the seasoning? (1) Smoked Sausage: Actually, it wasn't bad, however, as I ate it I recognized the flavor. I swear it is your general grocery store kielbasa. Pick the brand and apply fake smoke and you have it (3) The little cornbread cakes were okay, so I'd give'm (5). The pit baked beans were so darned sweet and you just get sick of it after several bites (3). The mac & cheese was like it came from the frozen section in the grocery store (2). The person who had the Carolina Smoked Pulled Pork was hoping there was something on their plate they could eat and sadly, no. They gave it a (1). All of those in the party did not like their meal with all of us agreeing the ribs were the best part about it. Ignore anyone rating this a 3 or higher. They either have never eaten bbq, were drunk, work there or know someone that does. There is no earthly or godly reason to rate this a three or higher. I want to save you from wasting money and being disappointed. If you never have eaten bbq then please do not eat here and think ill of bbq should you do. The food lacked flavor but seemed familiar. None of it was made on site. Could not have been. I've done bbq in crockpots, ovens, and other odd ways and they were far better than this. I wondered how badly could you screw this up, and then I think I got my answer. The one member asked for a container for us to toss later and he packed his food in the container. Then I saw it.
