Best all-around! Best donuts and possibly biggest ever donuts. Excellent quality and service in this adorable off the beaten path establishment. Enjoy eating on patio or inside. Fun ride in the country on some curvy roads. This is a must stop every time.

Although items are a little pricey. It is a fun trip for donuts and specialty food items.

Simply put the best doughnuts our store has ever had. If you haven't tried a glazed doughnut from Four Mile I highly recommend you do!

Plan your visit accordingly since they only open 3 days a week.

Finally I remembered to go on a Friday since they only open 3 days a week. It's out in the boonies but it's a beautiful drive. I took my sweet time to browse in the store and flocks of people came in and out, all left with box(es) of donuts. I tried a cinnamon twist and boy that was a giant donut. With a cup of crimson red I think I'm all set for the day. People there are sweet and the store is clean and well kept. The furniture store next door is really neat too!

We drove 30 minutes out of our way just to get a dozen glazed donuts. They are delicious. Each bite melts in your mouth. They are huge but very light. But defiantly not light in calories! We bought a dozen for $14.99. Day old dozen is $6.99 and I bet they are just as good. Next time I'll try those as my husband has had them a day old and told me after we checked out that they are just as good. They also carry other donuts like apple fritters, cream filled and others for $1.99 each. The store also had home made bread and rolls, canned food, pop, single serving milk, and bulk candy broken down into containers. They also offer sandwiches. They have picnic tables and other seating on their porch. If we are ever in the area, we will stop in for lunch. They are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for limited hours. So be sure to look up the hours before you come.

Small business but amazing people and great donuts. They offer regular size donuts but are famous for their wagon wheels which are HUGE.

My husband had the Chicken Parmesan sandwich on foccacia and I had chicken with pesto, balsamic glaze, mozarella cheese, & tomato on occasion. Both sandwiches were HUGE and one alone could have easily fed both of us! We each raved about our choice - delicious, tender foccacia, generous amounts of high-quality fillings, all with the perfect blend of seasonings. Service was friendly and efficient. I was a little happier with my blueberry muffin than I was my Cousin Vinny. I wanted so bad for the sandwich to taste like an amazing Muffaletta because of the ingredients, but it didn't blow my mind. Still, it was fine. It was disappointing that they were out of chicken cutlets because several of the sandwiches had that as the critical ingredient. But I would go back to explore the cutlets and their various Italian mains (lasagna, meatballs, etc) if I am ever in Nelsonville again.

We were out exploring the area when we stumbled across this charming little bakery run by a group of Amish girls. The moment you walk through the door, your senses go into overdrive. The smell of freshly baked pies, cookies, breads, and pastries fills the air, and I swear I started drooling before I even reached the display case. As I quickly learned, "walking in here with self-control is like bringing a snowball to Florida." It simply doesn't exist! Mine certainly didn't. I ended up leaving with two peach fry pies, a loaf of cheddar jalapeño bread, and a glazed donut. My wife chose one of their giant fresh-baked pretzels with cream cheese. It was served warm and was absolutely delicious. Then I dug into the glazed donut, and wow--light, fluffy, and it practically melted in my mouth. This was our first visit, but there's no doubt we'll be back. In fact, I can easily see us becoming regulars. A quick heads-up: they accept cash or checks, but no credit cards, so plan accordingly. Country Crust also has a cute little café area where they serve pizzas and sandwiches. From what I saw, those sandwiches were absolutely ginormous. I didn't order one this time, but trust me, the brisket on a pretzel bun and the Reuben both have my name written all over them for a future visit. If you're anywhere near Bainbridge and have a sweet tooth--or just appreciate great homemade baked goods--do yourself a favor and make the drive. Your taste buds will thank you, even if your diet won't. "Worth every calorie and every mile driven."
