Best all-around! Best donuts and possibly biggest ever donuts. Excellent quality and service in this adorable off the beaten path establishment. Enjoy eating on patio or inside. Fun ride in the country on some curvy roads. This is a must stop every time.

Although items are a little pricey. It is a fun trip for donuts and specialty food items.

Simply put the best doughnuts our store has ever had. If you haven't tried a glazed doughnut from Four Mile I highly recommend you do!

Plan your visit accordingly since they only open 3 days a week.

Finally I remembered to go on a Friday since they only open 3 days a week. It's out in the boonies but it's a beautiful drive. I took my sweet time to browse in the store and flocks of people came in and out, all left with box(es) of donuts. I tried a cinnamon twist and boy that was a giant donut. With a cup of crimson red I think I'm all set for the day. People there are sweet and the store is clean and well kept. The furniture store next door is really neat too!

We drove 30 minutes out of our way just to get a dozen glazed donuts. They are delicious. Each bite melts in your mouth. They are huge but very light. But defiantly not light in calories! We bought a dozen for $14.99. Day old dozen is $6.99 and I bet they are just as good. Next time I'll try those as my husband has had them a day old and told me after we checked out that they are just as good. They also carry other donuts like apple fritters, cream filled and others for $1.99 each. The store also had home made bread and rolls, canned food, pop, single serving milk, and bulk candy broken down into containers. They also offer sandwiches. They have picnic tables and other seating on their porch. If we are ever in the area, we will stop in for lunch. They are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for limited hours. So be sure to look up the hours before you come.

Small business but amazing people and great donuts. They offer regular size donuts but are famous for their wagon wheels which are HUGE.

Very good donuts!…read more When we walked in it was crowded and had a few people in line. They had a good selection of donuts, both in types and amounts of each. After we walked in, a fire truck pulled up, and the lady stopped helping the line to help the firefighters - although I had kids in the car and was in a hurry - it felt very small town, and that somehow added to the appeal. We got a dozen donuts including blueberry cake, devils food, honey dew, buttermilk, Boston cream, banana cream, cinnamon powdered sugar, strawberry cream, and some other one I can't remember the name of. They were all very tasty! The creams were generous, flavorful and a great texture and the powdered toppings were strong and packed on! My typical go-to are blueberry cake and devils food/chocolate cake, and they were just okay, but the rest were absolutely worth trying! Interestingly, they do a baker's dozen (13 not 12) but the 13th donut is chosen from a separate case with options that are different than the regular donut options and at other places would cost more like cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, specialty long johns, etc. we found that fascinating, as I tried to get one as part of my dozen and they said those are the free ones instead. I don't usually eat sugar, so trying donuts on this vacation was a big stretch for me, but these were absolutely worth it! Nothing fancy, no gimmicks--just a classic donut shop that focuses on doing things right. We ended up going with a nice mix: two glazed donuts, two blueberry cake donuts, a long john, and a half dozen donut holes. Everything was fresh, soft, and had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. The glazed donuts were light and classic, the blueberry cake had a great flavor without being too heavy, and the long john was filled just right. Even the donut holes were hard to stop eating. You can tell these are made with care, not mass-produced. It all tasted like it was made that morning. What I really liked is how simple and straightforward it is. Walk in, pick what you want, and you're out the door with something that just hits the spot. Service was friendly and quick, and the whole place has that old-school neighborhood vibe that's getting harder to find. Overall, if you're in Lancaster and want a solid donut--this is your spot. Brian's Tip: Go early. The best selection goes fast, and once people know about this place, those trays don't stay full for long.
