A decent bowling venue with everything you would need from different weights and sizes of bowling…read moreballs, some seating, a bar downstairs and toilets. However, typical bowling disasters seem to appear..such as the lane becoming frozen repeatedly and worst of all the scores being wiped out completely once your allotted time is up, which can be hugely frustrating if you are trying to have a competition.

This is a bowling alley conveniently located just next to Finsbury Park tube station (make sure you…read moretake the turn to your left when you come down from the platforms, otherwise you will come out the other end of the station!). Before you can enter security will search your bags and ask for ID, which they scan for their records. Entrance fees are £3 friday/Saturday evenings and just £1 off-peak - they accept cash only. The venue is massive - there are bowling lanes on both floors (twelve lanes each to make 24 in total), karaoke rooms and arcades on the ground floor. Bowling is very cheap (for zone 2) at £5.20 per person per game, and drinks were also reasonable. They play 90s pop music and there is a small dance floor also where people can dance in between turns to bowl! Further into the venue there are pool tables at £1.50 a game. I initially had reservations before entering the place as the crowd outside the station seemed a little rough...but was pleasantly surprised to find many sensible groups of (mostly) young people having a great time bowling/dancing/playing pool. The place has a great 'back-to-school' atmosphere about it, and the prices also feel the same way. One can order Domino's pizza as I believe Rowans has a partnership with them. The bowling lanes are pretty standard, maybe a bit low tech, but still good fun. The pool tables are also in decent consition. The karaoke rooms have song databases that are more or less up to date with the latest songs. I *believe* it is well sound-proofed. There are cabs waiting outside the station should you wish to stay until after the last tube. Decent location, excellent prices and better service than kne would expect for the cost. This is an excellent venue for birthday parties or for groups of friends to simply enjoy a good fun night out! 5/5.

The Kingpin Suite provides exactly that and I had such a great night here. I hired the venue for a work event so we had sole use for the evening but on most nights it is open to the public (you will need to book ahead). The food was great and very American style with mini burgers, hot dogs, pizzas and canapes. The bowling lanes are great fun and the karaoke room is sound proof meaning that it does not disturb the live music in the main room. The karaoke system is also of a high quality and has the largest collection of songs I have ever seen! There is also a hot tub which seems like a bit of an unusual addition - I didn't try that one out! The bar staff are friendly and at around £3.50 for a glass of wine the prices are reasonable. The venue is actually very difficult to find however as is also located in the same building as the Bloomsbury Lanes so it can get quite confusing when trying to locate the place. Kelly dealt with my booking and was fantastic - she made the day run as smoothly as possible and everyone had a great time. This would make a great venue for a Christmas Party.

They have a bar downstairs as well, and basically anything you wish for - some nice couches where we sat, pool, ping-pong, foosball, arcade games and more! Definitely an entertaining fun place :D Ambiance was really fun as well - pretty popular place with everyone out to have fun :)

The venue is cute and clean, and they were pretty good about making sure everyone adheres to the booking times. The hour we booked flew by - with six people on our team, we only managed to squeeze in one game. But that's a pro and a con: it's a busy venue, so we were always checking the clock to see how much time we had left. It was actually a bit of a killjoy. It's a nice experience, but I felt that everything -- including the food and the cocktails -- were overpriced. I know that's the trade-off you make for having a central location, but I would have preferred to have a more old-school bowling alley experience, even at the cost of having to travel farther out... you know, the kind where you goof around with a few close friends while putting away onion rings and beer into the wee hours of the night while "Roxanne" plays for the fifth time over the speakers. I don't need my bowling to be glamorous, but I suppose that's a personal preference.

(+) those crane machines are stupid fun and we ended up winning a couple of the plushes. lol Again, just stupid fun. :) (-) place was not very clean and actually kind of gross in spots (-) a lot of the machines were down and not operating including that Galaga game I would have LOVED to play (boo.) (-) Yelp! check in offered 2 free euro tokens to use for machines (no cash value). I decided what the hell since we were there killing time until we could get in line to ride the London Eye. Sheesh. I had to really jump through some hoops to get the 2 tokens lol. Sign up for wifi, click this, sign right here.... ...and then they only worked on select games and definitely NOT the crane machines, which is what we were there playing and spending our money on! Definitely wasn't worth the hassle. Again though, we were killing time ATM. (-) the blood curdling shrieks of kids in repeated succession can be too much to bear here at times lol no. I am 1000% f*cking serious...but I guess it IS an arcade... This could be a lot better if they would clean the place up and fix the machines. The lowest floor has pool tables and a little restaurant for food and drink - mostly fast food style and cafe fare, I saw adverts for private karaoke but I'm not sure how that operates. I do miss some of the older games but I'm always up for a few bumps in dodgems

Is anyone really very skilled at bowling? In some sports, the older you get = the better and more skilled you get... in the case of bowling, the older you get = the more you goof off and drink up which is actually perfectly convenient here because of the large, fully stocked bar area. Bowling at Number 10 is a multifaceted event applicable to family fun, a great kids party, a preteen flirt fest or an adult's drinking game so Number 10 can be filled with a variety of different people on different agendas which I think adds to the charm. They have bowling specials like "buy 2 games get one free", the ever popular Blacklight Bowling and there are special discounts during certain hours on odd days. My best advice would be to check the website before you go~ there might be a coupon! All the screens are bright & modern and there are lane bumpers and ball slides available for those novice bowlers not confident in their follow through. Also, if you decide to forgo the challenge altogether, there are many arcade games to enjoy, no dance floor but a good mix of music playing and always some sort of sport viewable on the TVs in the bar area. One of the best features I find is the security at the door. The guard does not allow great big groups of youngins to come and loiter around without adult supervision. I know that makes me sound like a mean old lady but that's a risk I'm willing to take because I loath anarchy and they are usually the culprits. Definitely a great way to fill a few hours with friends, family or for a fun birthday idea!
