We had to fill the agenda of a triple date on Friday night so I suggested this place before dinner (instead of the Number 10 in the Brewery that we ALWAYS go to) and off we went! Because I was with my hunnie, I have no idea what we paid as he takes care of that stuff while I chat it up with the girls but I looked up the pricing online and it is as follows: Monday - Friday (off peak 10am to 6pm) 1 Game Package: adults £4.20 - U12 £3.50 2 Game Package: adults £7.80 - U12 £6.40 3 Game Package: adults £10.00 - U12 £8.40 Monday - Friday (peak 6pm to close) Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays & School Holidays (all day) 1 Game Package: adults £5.20 - U12 £4.60 2 Game Package: adults £9.80 - U12 £8.60 3 Game Package: adults £13.00 - U12 £11.00 I love this place for the following reasons: 1 - Free PLENTIFUL parking out front! 2 - The building houses more than just bowling - people even get married here! 3 - There are like 30 family-oriented lanes when you first walk in but there is an adults only section off to the right where a triple date like us can enjoy a drink and a dance and a general 18+ "good time" in a separate area so parents don't have to shield the eyes of their children/get jealous. We played 3-4 games in the adults only section and had a blast. Because it was Friday, the bar was busy and the DJ was really quite good. I love bowling but I also loved the opportunity to drink and dance in between frames so I was having just about the best night ever! lol I would highly recommend this place for a fun change of pace!

Rollerbowl? City Limits? Nobody really knows what this place is called anymore. It was Rollerbowl…read moreback in like 1989 or something. Then they changed it to something like Grand Central (something like that) -- and then it was something else, and then it was City Limits. A few months back I saw a flyer pinned up in front of me in the urinal by the bowling which had a 'Rollerbowl Deal' but the sign on the entrance to the building didn't say rollerbowl. I was so confused I nearly wet myself. Lucky I was already in the toilet. Anyways, whatever it's called I don't really know anymore and I don't really care. If I was voting on their naming abilities I'd give them 0 out of 5. But I guess to please you guys I should stick to reviewing the actual place. The bowling is great. They have lanes, they have balls, they have a button you can press to get some air onto your hands. Actually, that last point is a negative. Have you noticed how you always have one friend who gets really obsessive about using the air thing on their sweaty hands? Very annoying. My advice is don't let that person come bowling with you anymore. Anyways, they have this section cut off from the main bowling area which is actually really nice. If you head down the steps to the bowling alley just turn right and head through the doors. I'm not sure that this bit is actually any more 'exclusive' but, y'know, there are doors to pass. It feeeeeeeeels more exclusive. And it tends to be nicer and more popular and it has it's own bar, and pool tables. I can't remember the exact times and deals - but they do have certain deals on certain nights, where you get three games for the price of two and stuff like that. And they tend to be open pretty late too. They also have a hall you can rent out upstairs for events - I think people have wedding receptions and parties here. They have a gym-- and various other facilities but I only really feel qualified to talk about the bowling. Actually, I'm not really qualified at all - I mean, you should see me bowl. A good place to head out to for a fun night out. There were some troubles a few years ago - I think the wrong people were hanging out there; fights and bottles smashing on heads and all that sort of thing. In fact, last year I went to watch a football match in the bar and a West Ham fan started a fight with me; and was seconds away from smashing me to pieces but luckily had a change of heart at the last moment. But y'know, you can get these people anywhere - and I tend to attract them towards me. So don't be put off heading to RollerGrandLimitCitys or whatever they call it.

The place caters to both kids and adults alike, giving the option to have the barriers up or down, and has a nice aesthetic to it, that being a classic Hollywood pink neon look. I cannot tell you much about the professional potential of the place as I do not bowl often and am not good so it is safe to say I would not be a good judge of it, but to me it seemed to be of quality. I do, however, retain 3 complaints: the amount of uncontrolled children there is terrifying but I suppose that cannot be pinned on the place itself, but the small children whom I assume provide its greatest demographic and their ignorant parents. A second compliant is the choice of music and it not fitting the theme the place tried to accomplish, once again falling to the crappy R and B so many people seem to be into. My third and final complaint is the lack of medium bowling balls. This did not affect me at all, but could've easily put a paying customer off his or her game. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone looking to go bowling in the area. I would rate it 3.5 if I could but no such option exists.

There is an arcade, cafe and bar inside too, so you've really got everything you need. There is also music, shoe hire, and some kitsch touches that really add to the almost-tacky-yet-charming ambiance. Book in advance for groups, and let them know if you have any particular needs. Also bare in mind - it gets busy, and it is often tough to park close by.

The Kingpin Suite provides exactly that and I had such a great night here. I hired the venue for a work event so we had sole use for the evening but on most nights it is open to the public (you will need to book ahead). The food was great and very American style with mini burgers, hot dogs, pizzas and canapes. The bowling lanes are great fun and the karaoke room is sound proof meaning that it does not disturb the live music in the main room. The karaoke system is also of a high quality and has the largest collection of songs I have ever seen! There is also a hot tub which seems like a bit of an unusual addition - I didn't try that one out! The bar staff are friendly and at around £3.50 for a glass of wine the prices are reasonable. The venue is actually very difficult to find however as is also located in the same building as the Bloomsbury Lanes so it can get quite confusing when trying to locate the place. Kelly dealt with my booking and was fantastic - she made the day run as smoothly as possible and everyone had a great time. This would make a great venue for a Christmas Party.

If you're going to do something, so it right. Me and my friend decided to go Bollywood Bowling on a whim; thought it would be a nice chance to integrate with our Asian neighbours, as we had both never seen a white person in there before. I can understand why, I mean, why would white people want the Asians to notice how badly we bowl?. It's embarrassing. Even with the ridiculously tiny bowling lanes, we still couldn't hit the pins. This place is.... okay. It has a nice atmosphere, it has food, it has arcade games. These are the tried and tested things that are needed when bowling. However, the place just seems too small. Unless it was made for kids and adults were never meant to go there. This could actually be a possibility as the children on the next lane along were putting our scores to shame. Oh and, I went past yesterday and it was shut - and it looked kind of smashed up inside. I thought it looked closed for good, but my friend believes they are renovating; which seems suspect to me as it only opened a year ago. So I'm not sure whether you're going to have to find a different location for dwarf bowling, I'll let you know.

Clearly created on the cheap and not really with creating a quality bowling experience. The lanes are tiny, plastic, flimsy and there's not really enough of them. I'm not sure why they don't just call it a hang out place, take out the bowling lanes and keep everything else. It'd surely be cheaper and the same people they want to would still go there.

It is affordable and something which makes a pleasant change from going to the pub or clubbing. Prices are affordable and deals are available at certain points of the week. The best deal by far though is the all day play special which means you get to keep a lane all day for a fixed price so long as you don't leave the premises. They don't advertise it these days and availability has been slashed but if you ask behind the counter, they will do it for you. Bowling is not the only activity on offer here. There is an arcade and you can regress to a child like state racing cars or shooting monsters. If that doesn't tickle your fancy then there is a bar in which you can chill out and watch sports or play pool. You can always grab a bite to eat too meaning that you can make a complete evening of your visit. The food is quite basic, burgers, chips and hot dogs but it suits the surroundings. Staff are always helpful and are quick to come to the rescue whenever the lanes start playing up. Parking is available on site but it is council run and charges all night long. Wardens regularly patrol the car park as they know they can score a few easy tickets so be careful when parking here.

The venue is cute and clean, and they were pretty good about making sure everyone adheres to the booking times. The hour we booked flew by - with six people on our team, we only managed to squeeze in one game. But that's a pro and a con: it's a busy venue, so we were always checking the clock to see how much time we had left. It was actually a bit of a killjoy. It's a nice experience, but I felt that everything -- including the food and the cocktails -- were overpriced. I know that's the trade-off you make for having a central location, but I would have preferred to have a more old-school bowling alley experience, even at the cost of having to travel farther out... you know, the kind where you goof around with a few close friends while putting away onion rings and beer into the wee hours of the night while "Roxanne" plays for the fifth time over the speakers. I don't need my bowling to be glamorous, but I suppose that's a personal preference.
