One of the worst services I have ever had in my life Terrible experience with food and service, as you can see in the photos, we ordered 3 hamburgers with extra, but according to them they delivered them all but only 1 arrived, and we went to speak to the attendant and they said that the problem is simply ours, we spoke to the manager and he said that the problem is ours, The air conditioning wasn't working, we went with friends for a moment of relaxation and ended up leaving upset and disappointed with the place. I do not recommend it to anyone, we were with a friend from abroad visiting us and we were embarrassed by what happened, a really embarrassing situation, a lack of care on the part of the administration. read more

A fun time bowling here! We had to wait 20 mins for our lanes although we pre-booked. But there is plenty to keep you entertained whilst you wait. They have plenty of arcade games, pool tables etc. I loved that they had everything setup so we didn't have to input our names and they also automatically had it programmed to have barriers up or down based on the player. Came here with the family for a birthday celebration and we all had a great time. read more

This place is enough to drive you potty. I have been here with work, with the boyff and with the god children and every time I'm left a bit stressed and wanting to leave. The service at the bar anytime is less than average by a long shot. You can wait an age to be served, even then trying to order drinks is a painful experience. On to booking the games, if you can distract half the workers from talking tosh to each other, you'll get served. Now onto the game, once there you are usually sorted, and it's straight forward. However, heaven forbid you just want a quiet game of bowling on a pink pin night. Some howling "DJ" interrupts your game makes you centre of attention and completely puts you off. Service at the lane can be hit and miss. When it's later at night and just the boyff, we have been served, however, earlier in the evening with a whole group from work, I've had to do shuttle runs to the bar. When with the kids, same again, lacking service, and I am not leaving my nieces, nephews and God children on their own to spend twenty odd minutes to buy some fizzy pop and a muffin for a screaming toddler. (It's a treat, the parents don't give them fizzy pop!). Toilets are stinking. All in all, I have absolutely no idea why I've returned here over the years, must just be it's location. I love going Bowling and I last went to the Hollywood Bowl in North Finchley was the first week of August. 25 of us went for a work night and it was great. The bar is clean and tidy, they bring food and drink to your lane when you are in the middle of a game. It's Great. The Vue cinema is next door so after bowling you can watch a film. It's a great night. Can't wait to go back again. read more

I had a terrible experience here. We enter at 6pm. Having queued up a member of staff tells us that there is no availability until 11:20pm. We think this can't be right but obviously can't call her a liar. So we go online (whilst still inside hollywood bowl) and book a game for 21:50. I didn't know it was part of hollywood bowl's training to lie to customers, but apparently so. Secondly, the people before us didn't finish until 22:10 (fair enough, they can't control for this). But then there was some weird technical fault without our screen (clearly have invested in cheap, easily faulty technology). This required us to go back and forth to the reception 3-4 times to remind them that this was not working as they didn't seem to be doing anything and kept telling us the same thing. The worst thing on their part was as we were waiting so long for the machine to be fixed a couple came to our lane and told us that this was their lane. It had obviously gone into their bowling time. We told them that we hadn't even started yet. So what do hollywood bowl do? They give this couple ANOTHER LANE, which was working. A couple who had booked AFTER us had started BEFORE us. How is this fair or good practice? Surely we should have gotten this lane and the couple be assigned our lane. It must be part of Hollywood bowl's policy to pick your favourite customers and decide which ones you want to help. It wasn't all fixed until 22:50, by which time we were exhausted, some people had no chance of getting their last bus and hollywood bowl didn't offer us any recompense or seem to even care or value us as paying customers read more

I visited Hollywood Bowl during the Easter Holidays when it was jam packed with hyperactive children. The bright flashing lights running down the side of the lanes, the noisy MTV pop music and the screaming kids made for a full on experience I wouldn't reccommend undertaking with a hangover. For some reason which was not explained to us our student discount was rejected which made for an expensive half an hour of bowling. We cheekily tried to cheat the system by entering six names on the scoreboard instead of 3 but were called off the lane promptly when our half hour was up. If we'd bowled here all day it would have cost a small fortune. However the facilities were great, there's a bar, loads of arcades (although I found it slightly worrying watching small children play fruit machines). There's pool tables and plenty of places to eat near by. Was it a bad day out or am I just getting old and grumpy? Probably the latter! read more
