My friend had his birthday party here and by the end of the night everyone in the group was trying to plan their bowling birthday too. I love this place! The whole decor is great from the round amber lights, to the fancy purple A emblem at the end of the lanes. The upstairs has 3 or 4 lanes, a private bar with black lights and white leather sofas. We didn't eat here, but I hear that if you book a table for food, you get priority over the lanes, and they can fill up really quick! So book early. I was surprised to find my favorite beer here - Blue Moon, It's a Belgium-style white beer flavored with coriander and orange. I can't wait to go back!

Been wanting to come here for a very long time now, finally stubble upon All star lanes on my day off. Love bowling but didn't get a chance too but will do next time. Food was the my priority and what a place to eat, atmosphere was great the staff were out standing and dress the part, food was deliciously beautiful, and so far the best root beer drink. Would definitely come again.

One of the best bowling alley/venue I've been in. Really well maintained, nice atmosphere. Food looked amazing too, although I didn't eat there. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Was here for a team outing. The lanes are nice and barring a few technical glitches, which were resolved super fast, we had a lot of fun. This place has an exhaustive drinks menu and we were spoilt for choice. We ordered a bunch of bar snacks, which were really nice too. I particularly liked the popcorn calamari. I'd come back here for buckets of these. Everything was reasonably priced. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because the wait staff screwed up our drinks order thrice. They were very courteous and apologetic about the whole thing. But it did piss off the people in our group a wee bit--especially those whose drinks didn't show up. All in all, a good experience and I'd definitely recommend this place.

The old Truman Brewery has, over the years, played host to some of London's most interesting and little-known attractions. Until recently, however, it had not housed a bowling alley. All Star Lanes has a trio of alleys around London and they're latest addition certainly brings a different element to this famous East-End street. This isn't your standard Bowlarama bowling alley. Befitting of Brick Lane this place goes out and out retro with an American flavour and this is reflected in the decor and music. In addition to bowling there is also a 200 capacity restaurant offering American style cuisine and drinks - i.e. milkshakes and burgers. Just on from the restaurant you will find a set of four gleaming bowling alleys for you to test your skills and, if you've got the cash, you can request use of their private alley which features its own bar. Even though I wouldn't call myself a bowling superstar I was able to have a lot of fun here. It's quite a relaxing down-to-earth kind of place after the furore of Brick Lane itself. A fun night out for a large group of mates.

Skinny burger and sweet patato fries...it didn't taste as good as it looks :(

Oh my goodness! I can't believe no-one has reviewed the epic Karaoke Epoc yet!!…read more When I was a student, I was never completely convinced that this place existed. I had vague drunken memories of stumbling into a manga shop and finding a mini-Japan style Karaoke box...I must have been here quite a few times with different groups of Japanese friends. However I could never find it again when I was sober. *blushes* Karaoke Epoc is hidden at the back of Adanami Shobo (the Japanese Manga/ book shop on Brewer street.) If you have never been there before, it can be a teeny bit tricky to find...look out for a 'De-lux Cleaning' sign to find the shop. This is one of the least posh karaoke places in London. The decor is a little old/scabby looking...but it is also brilliant! I'll tell you why: - We booked the huuuge room downstairs, and had more than enough room for all 16 of us. There was even enough room for us to dance around the table as well!! - They have teeny 4-6 people rooms upstairs if you have a smaller group. - There was a fridge in the corner, so we brought drinks and kept them cool in there. - The remote control is like a mini computer...you can search by song title or by artist. Ask for help if you can't read Japanese. - There is a decent Japanese/Korean/Chinese selection of songs as well as all the old English favorites. Oooh and a whole page of disney songs!! (^^) - It is really cheap, especially if you go early and have a large group of singing friends. Last night I paid £11 for three hours. I'm not the only on that loves this place!! Make sure you book in advance as it is nearly always booked up.

When I come to London I always like doing karaoke with my friends, this now the only place I want to do it at. P.s. If you need to get some booze when you're there, go out of the front door and go left down the street, take the first right and there's a shop just there.

But, the chaos I walked into on a Sunday has ensured that I never walk into a crowded pub like this again. It took almost 15 minutes to flag down one of the servers to ask about getting a table, to which I was told, "If you see a spot, grab it." As soon as I saw a couple get up I threw my stuff down- hoping it wouldn't get stolen- and went to order at the bar. That took another 5 minutes. Given how crowded it was, I ended up having to share my table with 4 other people; which wasn't bad, until I ended up getting my food more than 15 minutes after I'd ordered it, and then realized I was the only one eating at a table full of strangers. The food itself wasn't bad, but for a pub that claims to have the best Sunday Roast in London, it certainly didn't compare to those that don't claim that and are less of a hassle to eat in. And at £17 a pop, you can bet the experience wasn't worth it for some chicken and Yorkshire pudding.

About a week ago, I made the mistake of ordering some Nachos here. Honestly the saddest plate of…read moreNachos I've ever come across. The best description of it I can make is that it was that someone poured a bag of tortilla chips onto a plate, squeezed some awful American-style runny cheese over it all, then put some ready-made shop-bought guacamole on one end, what looked like ketchup but was salsa on the other end, and then the largest dollop of sour cream (almost tasted like fresh whipped cream somehow) in the middle. There was no attempts to layer anything. It was served on a baking tray which I can't really explain seeing as it was all completely cold. And they cost £12.50 which, tbh, is a disgrace. They were unfortunate to say the least. I should have sent them back but I was so hungry that I tried to make the most of it. Unrelated, but the bar staff were lovely, I'm sorry I had to give a bad review based off the food.

Having booked my room, I wandered down the stairs into the main club, and huddled in on myself as the wind whistled and tumble weed blew by. Yes the place was deserted. I had to wait a while to even find someone to serve me some beers. The bar itself is attractive but on this particular Tuesday night, not overly well stocked as they were out of a couple of things I wanted. The room for ten that I was in was rather barren and uninspiring. In fairness I am yet to sing in a karaoke room who's interior artistic endeavour has stretched beyond paint and sofas to sit on. On the plus side, the karaoke system was easy to use and the sound quality was great. Our screaming rock vocals didn't seem to bother any of the surrounding patrons once they eventually arrived, although one gent did decide to join us due to are throwing everything we had into each performance. There is a Japanese inspired food menu which is fine for nibbling, and the beers we ordered were affordable and cold. They serve cocktails which sound nice, and I am told on the weekend the place is pumping with a real club vibe. On this early week visit I was not overally impressed, and it is unlikely I will return for a weekend soiree.
