However, it should be well understood what all continuing maintenance is recommended and what is required and the associated costs for each service. Annual maintenance is recommended but early on, it is probably not absolutely needed and only verifies that the water quality is being maintained as advertised. The cost for a non-back flush system to have a water test is around $80 and takes less than 10 minutes. (Drops of reagent in test tube of water). Recognizing that there are overhead costs associated with coming out to do this, it would seem that a lower cost would be reasonable. I suggest that customers should be aware of costs before committing to purchase a system and what the continuing maintenance will cost.

We had a water analysis done by a rep from this company and bought the system based on his findings…read moreand recommendations. He told us we had very hard water, (22 grains) when he tested our water. He said he would install the system, bringing it down to (5 grains). In the following weeks, we noticed that our water was no different than before we had Carolina's Rainsoft system installed. We called the company and a tech came out and tested our water, finding very different results.... The water was only (3 grains)! We would have never agreed to buy the system based on what this actual water testing reflected. The tech said he would have his boss call when we explained what we had been told vs what was actually found. Another tech was sent out a few weeks later, and the water from the well house was tested, finding the same results. The owner of the company called and apologized, but stated there was no way in which they could remove the system or refund our money! In stead they offered to install another feature that would change the water pH for free. .....we are really not interested in anything else from this company. I would never recommend Carolina Water Products for anyone to deal with. We were sold a system based on fraudulent findings, and the company states there is no way to refund the money or remove the system. They tell us they have fired the rep that sold us the system.....but we are left to suffer the consequences of his fraudulent sale. Buyer beware......... this is not reputable business practice! If it was, they should take their system back and refund our money.
