Awful. had them move my kitchen sink drain line in my basement, after that the sink leaked. They cam back to fix it, then the sink strainer started leaking. Made an appointment to have that fixed, waited here all day before they decided to cancel the appointment, and they rescheduled for the next day at 9:30. Took the morning off work to meet them, then they decided to call and tell me they are not coming. Person on the phone told me they had no idea what was going on, wanted to schedule an appointment. I told them I had two scheduled and took off work. They told me there was no way they could ever have someone here at 9:30 so I don't know what the hell is going on over there, but apparently they can't fix a simple leak and they have no idea how to schedule an appointment. Awful, awful, awful stay far away. And besides that, the price was absolutely ridiculous to come move a drain and a water line. read more

Had a weird hammer sound after flushing toilet and using sinks/shower. Torey came out, spent time studying the sound, discussed possible diagnoses with colleague, and recommended a fix. Was able to fix and replace our water pressure regulator quickly. He spent extra time explaining how certain aspects of my plumbing work, advised on some diy fixes around my home (I'm a new home owner learning how to take care of my house), and reassured me about the original reason for calling. As a senior citizen I really get excited when I come across younger people who know a little something about customer service as well as the job at hand. First off the reception from Hannah was the best ever. She was very pleasant and able to explain everything. She got me on the schedule without any hassle. I am super happy with the service Daniel provided today!!! We had tub and toilet backup over a holiday weekend and it was miserable!!!! We waited until Tuesday morning when the city truck did their part then said we needed a plumber. Finding someone TO TRUST was a big deal for me! Round two with Transou's and they win again. They had done a great job with a water heater for us recently, so when the dishwasher was next we called them back. Megan is awesome. She listens well and really works to make the job scheduling perfect for the customers. I've talked to her both times now...she even remembered me from the first one. We were able to order a dishwasher from Lowes and have it delivered and Transou's came out and installed the new one / disposed of the old one. Megan make it all work on a tough schedule. Thanks Megan! Chris was the tech that came out. He was a rock star. He did the work quickly and efficiently and was very professional. But he still took the time to chat just a bit. Property Management Company used Transou's for day time visit on a rental property reporting discolored and grainy water. Technician legitimately checked a few things PSI, existing filter, etc. Then they wrote up a quote for a 3 system filtration system and sent a bill for $240 with no repairs performed. Called a different plumber who replaced the filter for $80. Turns out because the house is on a well and sat for 2 months it just needed to run the water. On the industry this is common and just taking advantage of the minimum pre-approved repair limit. No more business going here. read more

We had some sort of leak in our downstairs bathroom in September. We told them what was going on. Had them come out. They told us it was a toilet leaking. That the seal needed replaced. We paid over $1k for this. They checked our crawl space, our bathroom, cut multiple holes. It turns out that while we probably did need to have our toilet seal fixed and the pipe fixed, that's not what caused our leak. It was the roof. We had them come out again and check the plumbing. They'll charge you to cut the holes in your wall for discovery, but DONT leave the sheet rock they cut out to replace it with. They were very vocally pro trump, even saying they were leaving our house to go to a trump rally. Very unhappy that they didn't do enough checking to find out what the actual issue was. We wasted over $1k on something that didn't need to be fixed. read more

No surprises when work is finished. The Techs texted us when they were on the way, showed up on time, and immediately went to work. Rigo and Matt were outstanding! I had Transou's Rooter & Plumbing out yesterday. I had the main sewer line cleaned out. There were roots blocking the pipe to the city side. The office manager, Meghan, was very professional and helpful on the phone. The men that came out, Tristan and Tim, were nice and did a great job. I've had this done before by Rotor Rooter, 5 yrs ago, and they charged me 4X as much as Transou. Not only did these guys complete the job but Tristan called the city and made an appointment for them to come out and check their side of the line for me. Talk about "WOW"!!! I have used Transou's Rooter & Plumbing three times for various plumbing-related issues (no water pressure in the house, water leaking from ceiling, and kitchen sink leaking). The owner, Brandon, is kind, helpful, and personable. When you speak with him, it feels as though you are their most important client and your issue is the most important one of the day. I had several issues with this company and the owner. Our yard completely sank the day after a septic install. It took many phone calls to get someone to help me. I was given one wheelbarrow full of dirt and the owner, Brandon, told me he was "done with me." I contacted the Business Alliance and filed a complaint. He responded that he made it clear to me, on several occasions, that I needed to hire a landscaper. This is a blatant lie. I reached out to the employee who was here on the job and he agreed that I was never told that. My question was why they laid seed and hay is I needed a landscaper. I had the REAL Mr. Transou come to my home, the man who actually started the company and he agreed my yard is a mess. He was more concerned at what we were charged stating we were overcharged by 3 to 4 thousand dollars. Me and my mom are old and we got taken advantage of horribly. Please be careful when hiring this company. The workers are so nice but the owner was an asshole. I will never recommend this company and will continue to add every negative review I can. read more

Round #2. I decided to suck it up and have Mike and Transou's re-fit my bathtub/shower combo. I would say, all things considered, it went far better than I would have hoped. I really don't have much to compare it to, price-wise because I didn't bother to shop around. I think, in the long run, even when things get slightly tense over details... I would prefer to go thru it with a company that I have come to trust. Consistency is key with me and I am now convinced that Transou's can be trusted. Which is a big deal for anyone with trust issues. Capice? My bathroom looks less like shit than it did when they started. I'm sure I could have had them re-do the whole thing, but I didn't... .and nobody made me feel like a cheap-ass for not going with "the works". water line broke at water heater and would only take about 20 minutes to fix. they told me they had to replace all the lines and would have to go under house to replace them all. charged me $379.96 for 20 minutes and never went under the house and only fixed the lines above the floor. i would never call them again. Beware and read what you sign on their phone. Not good customer service to lie like that people were nice but took advantage of me being a woman and during a crisis at that. read more

Tristan was the plumber that came out to my house, I thought I had a pretty bad plumbing issue & although it turned out to be a simple fix -- Tristan took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand, show me how to fix it on my own should the issue occur again, waited for my dishwasher to run to make sure the problem was 100% solved & then checked on the plumbing under my house to make sure it was up to date (at my request which was not apart of the initial booking). Extremely friendly & knowledgeable, called me about 45 minutes before arriving which was perfect. Very upfront about the costs & no hidden fees. Had a sewer issue, Mike came out on Sunday to diagnose the issue and had it repaired quickly. Excellent job.

Just moved to Winston-Salem from South Florida and needed help with mysterious sewer smell in our condo and toilet that sometimes didn't flush well, drains a little clogged, the usual stuff. We called a well known area plumber who charged us over $200 to tell us that they couldn't do anything about the smell, and wanted to replace our toilet, at a cost of around $750, so about $500 installation cost. Brandon and Anthony at Transou spent a great deal of time educating us about the potential origins of bad sewer smells, and we discovered an empty condo below us probably has a dry trap so the person tending the vacant condo for the owner went in and ran the water everywhere which helped quite a bit. Brandon and Anthony made sure we understood exactly what was wrong and why, and what our options would be. Their prices were a fraction of what the much large scale local plumbing company charge. We felt welcomed to the community and we appreciated that as much as their expertise, their fair prices and their total commitment to customer care and satisfaction. read more

I contacted Transou's after other recommendations in the Next Door/Buena Vista app. Michael came over and explained the various options I had fora sump pump back up system. I felt their price was reasonable for such an extensive job. (I have 3 sump pumps.) They arrived approximately when expected. My only small complaint would be they underestimated the time the job would take (it took almost 6 full hours, not two as estimated.) Additionally, there was a miscommunication about the bill and invoice I was charged, but when I expressed my concerns to Brandon the owner, he got back to me quickly and rectified the situation to my satisfaction, refunding me the amount of the misunderstanding. They were very attentive thru the whole process. My only other comment (not really a complaint) is that I didn't understand fully the "rooter process". They should explain what the results can be (inconclusive) before you order a rooting process. I wanted to know where's drain led to but after twenty feet all they could tell me was "we hit mud". So for $250 I found out nothing. Brandon assures me this will be addressed in future training meetings. (This was NOT the billing question mentioned earlier.)
