I stumbled upon the Paramus Diamond Center by chance while I was in the area for another…read moreappointment. I decided to stop in and look at their wedding band collection. The store was set up with different kiosks of independent vendors with collections for both men and women. The first kiosk that I stopped at was a family owned business. A women named Lidya and her bother, Mark, kindly attended to me and asked what I was interested in. I told them what I wanted and they showed me different styles and gave me an estimate for the price. They were able to give me a really good deal on my fiancé's ring and offered options for customization and flexible payment. I visited the other vendors just to be thorough. Although most of the collections were pretty similar, I thought Lidya and Mark seemed the most experienced in this business and I liked their customer service the best. The other vendors seemed more like sales reps than true jewelers. I came back with my fiancé to get his finger sized and they even polished my engagement ring for free (which was not from the store). I haven't gotten the finished ring back yet but I'm looking forward to updating once received. 4 starts for the Paramus Diamond Center. 5 star experience with Lidya and Mark.

Overall, the final appointment was about an hour, including edits to the design and having the tattoo completed.

Or at least not paying for it until you actually see it and have it in your hand. The staff was helpful until the product wasn't what I had in mind. Five minutes after leaving the store my stomach was in knots because what I received was not what we discussed. We all hate conflict but I was so unhappy I then discussed it with the sales person. I reminded her of what I had asked for, I let her know that what I got was not right. She was not hearing me, and was actively trying to convince me otherwise. No apology came, which would have made a world of difference. I'm not exactly sure why she didn't want to help me purchase the right product, but it was clear, she didn't want to help me. BUT... a few hours later the store manager called me and made things right. This is huge. She was level headed, patient with my uncertainty, and very helpful. She offered me options and she changed my mind about my review. Give them a try, ask for Barbara.

So after 1 month I called for an appointment. Told the man who answered that I didn't recall tge technicians name. He said no problem, just upload pictures of the 2 tats you got and he would have the tech reach out to me on the website. I did that and several days later, she reached out on the website with her availability. I responded, on the website, that I'd be there on the date and time she offered. Fast forward, I woke up that morning with a bad sciatica attack. But I didn't want to cancel on her with such a short notice so I dragged myself over there. And she was NOT there. Only 2 young techs, the female whom I recognized as her buddy from when I was there the 1st time. The female called the tech who told her that I never confirmed with her so she didn't come in. When I pulled up the confirming post I sent her, the friend told me it wasn't Kayla's fault, it was the managers fault! So, yeah, she wanted to blame the manager. At that point I was in terrible pain and I told the "friend " that I'd never come back to this shop! Next thing I know, Kayla is messaging me to say she didn't feel comfortable doing my touch up after I said I wouldn't come back. I responded that was fine because she was very unprofessional. She responded to say that I was permanently banned from the shop. That was pretty laughable to me. Like what made her think I would ever come back to her! So, yeah, I'd stay away from Nyce Tattoos!
