The parking lot is expansive, easily accommodating large vehicles such as semi-trucks and RVs, and is well-lit at night. The interior is spacious and bright, featuring a large lobby with a windmill display and an informative exhibit about the surrounding area. An outdoor viewing area is also available at the rear of the building. Restrooms are conveniently located on both sides of the building, along with an information desk, vending machines, and a tornado shelter. We have made numerous stops here and have consistently found the facilities, including the restrooms, to be clean.

There are plenty of interesting facts about Texas listed on the walls in the main atrium which houses a small windmill. The entire rest area is worth checking out. As you approach it on the freeway you can be forgiven for thinking it looks like the worlds biggest racket ball court, but it's super modern on the inside. On the outside there is a large fenced dog walking area. There are also telescopes for checking out the stunning views and a play area for kids.

There is parking, a dog walking area and a surprisingly excellent playground. If your kids are getting a little antsy after spending too much time sitting in the car, here's your spot to tucker them out. The playground is understandably a little dusty. The play area is fenced in. That's important as there is high speed traffic not far away. A couple of pretty solid picnic shelters outside. Inside, clean restrooms and some interesting interactive displays about local stuff like the cattle and the wind. I'm impressed.
