I called and spoke to the kind lady who runs that location and was told that they would take care of it. The invoice for that was around $2,200 for how much was paid to Semraj to fix this problem. I paid $60 out of pocket. I dropped my car off at Semraj and the problem was "fixed". the next day i called Raj about the check engine light and the VSC control light coming on and he told me that because it is an old car that it would take a couple weeks for the work that was done to be registered in the system. I should have known that was bullshit, but this is my first car. i bought a 2006 Toyota Avalon under 95,000 miles to uber eats. the young man who sold me the car at route 38 auto knew what i was buying it for and why i needed it. it was agreed upon that this car would be the best fit. I made a cash offer for $6k and was told no so i did $7k and I can tell you my problem had really just begun. i brought my car back to Semraj about 5 times for this same problem (and some others like a flat tire, oil change, inspection sticker information) and each time received my car back with lights off & was told that it should be fixed right now. Any time i dropped my car off to Semraj it was early in the morning and i wouldn't get it until right before closing. Over the summer time when I tried to ask for the invoice for the work that had been done; I was told that the computer that had originally had all the documents from that time was damaged and I was unable to receive the papers and was told to come back with a lawyer. I've spent money at Semraj, GoodYear, Thielman's(the only reasonable mechanic), Midas, and local mechanics to just be ripped off because at the end of the day I WAS SOLD A LEMON!! I spent $9,005.32 on a car that was clearly not ready to be driven and was too old. The Carfax didn't even say anything was wrong with this car at purchase. Since August of 2024 i have spent over the price purchased of my car just to keep this car afloat. Now with new health conditions arising over these last couple months, I need a vehicle to take me to my doctors appointments and unfortunately November 25th my check engine light started to blink and I don't feel safe trying to go 8 minutes down the road to my doctors. What can be done?

Jump forward to today and I still think these guys,Craig especially, are wonderful. I purchased a 2003 Hyundai Sante Fe from them yesterday and he was beyond helpful. I leased a second car for my son at Mount Holly Nissan dealership for no other reason than it's easy to roll over. That's it. Not because this dealership is special or they employ super personnel there or their 24k car is better than Fords 24k car. It was just easier for me, my time is valuable. DO NOT BUY from this dealership if the DETAILS of your signed paperwork matter. This is the second time over two separate leases thaT EITHER at the signing moment /day and time something was not on paper the way it was presented , or that post delivery of the car some issue that is not and SHOULD NOT be your responsibility is now going to cost you the buyer money out of pocket. I would NOT send a friend or member of my family there if details matter to that person. My situation has still not been resolved as of March 15 2026. If they do the right thing , I'll gladly retract this review.

I took the vehicle in on 07/07/25 because the air conditioning stopped working. They never even checked the air conditioning unit but instead wanted to charge me over a thousand dollars to replace a wiring harness, which WAS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTEE. However; they refused to honor the warrantee. The service managers don't even try to help their customers, they just want to over charge and refuse to honor service contracts. I will certainly not purchase another vehicle from Mt. Holly Nissan, and definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Addition: On 7 July 2025 Nissan Mt. Holly Store Manager contacted me and assured me that he would try and find a solution to the issue of the wiring harness and warrantee. I appreciate that someone reached out to me and I am awaiting an answer.

He reached out promptly and personally to me after sending a generic inquiry about the availability of this vehicle. Connecting with Lou was easy, which I suspect is a universal experience with his agreeable personality and his steadfast focus on delivering excellent customer service. I was particularly impressed by Lou's honesty and anticipation of my concerns from the moment we first interacted in person. In transporting the vehicle from one dealership location to another, he experienced a flagrant issue with the braking performance. He addressed this promptly before I began my test drive in anticipation that I would perceive this issue, and he guaranteed that all brake rotors and pads would be replaced before leaving the lot at no cost to me. He not only permitted but encouraged an independent test drive with my wife and infant child, allowing me to install my child's car seat into the vehicle so that we could get the true feel of what it would be like as a family driving in the vehicle. When we returned, he was interested in our feedback and allowed us to ask questions without steering us toward a sale. When we had concerns about the vehicle history, he was able to help me and my wife interpret that information. When we entered the sale negotiation, Lou dealt with me fairly. Despite an unfavorable negotiation outcome from my side of the table, the deal was still worth it, and we came to an agreement of sale. Lou fulfilled his guarantee to replace all four brake rotors and pads, and he also fulfilled my request to restore function to a malfunctioning key fob. From the time I arrived to the time I left the lot with the purchased vehicle, which included two separate test drives, Q&A/discussion with Lou, working out financing and other paperwork, and having the vehicle serviced, it took about 5 hours. I was very pleased with the service Lou provided. Lou went beyond his duties to assist me with pairing my mobile phone with the Bluetooth system in the vehicle even after the sale had been finalized. He did this when he was getting ready to depart to take a late lunch at 3:00 PM. The ordeal took 20 minutes, and he never once lost focus on trying to meet my needs even after the sale was made on a trivial task of pairing my phone with the vehicle. I highly recommend speaking with Lou if you're in the market for a used car. Lou might even change your mind about the stereotypical used car salesman stereotype of which many people are skeptical. His sincerity and diligence in providing excellent customer service is noteworthy.

I bought a 2009 Honda Accord LXP from them less than a year ago, and it has turned out to be a complete money pit. First of all, when I picked up the car, it was disgusting--full of pet hair, filth, and who knows what else. I had to clean it myself just to make it somewhat usable. That should've been my first red flag, but I figured I could deal with it. What I didn't expect was that the real nightmare was just beginning. Shortly after purchase, I noticed the car was burning oil like crazy. I now have to add half a quart of oil every 500 miles--that is not normal, and they clearly sold me a car with major mechanical issues. This is beyond unacceptable for a vehicle they assured me was in "good condition." Of course, when I reached out to them about this issue, they refused to do anything. They wouldn't honor any type of warranty, coverage, or even basic decency. They took my money and left me with a car that is quite literally burning itself up. This was my first car, a gift from my parents. This dealership is dishonest, untrustworthy, and only cares about making a quick buck off unsuspecting buyers. They do not stand behind their cars, and once you drive off the lot, you're on your own--no matter how badly they screwed you over. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from CarShop Mt. Holly unless you want to waste thousands on a lemon. I'll be warning everyone I know about this place, and if you're reading this, take my advice: Go somewhere else.
