The first car I purchased from this place was great. So naturally when it was time to trade it in I went right back for my next car. This car has been the complete opposite experience from the first. In over 30 years of driving, this has been absolutely the worst car I've ever driven - and I used to be a mechanic. The suspension is completely out of balance with huge wobbles and the car leans down on the driver side. The passenger rear is super firm, the driver rear is extremely soft. The car doesn't hold straight, bounces all over the place, and has already gone through a set of tires after only a few months of driving. It amazes me a car can be unstable at 55 mph on the interstate and have "nothing wrong with it." I even took measurements showing the passenger rear sits a couple inches higher than the entire rest of the car including the driver rear. Nothing wrong with it? Do what you want, but I'm never going back. read more

THE BEST car buying experience I've ever had! No hassle, no pressure whatsoever. My sales guy Joe was SO nice. Made me feel like he was really looking out for me and he wasn't going to let me make any decision that was wrong for me. Honest and caring! Go see Joe at Lucas Chevrolet! You'll be in good hands. read more

I recently bought 2025 Chevy Equinox from here, the service was fantastic. I was greeted with a warm welcome from Joe, who assisted me in purchasing my Chevy. I didn't feel any type of pressure upon looking at cars or purchase. Adala, the finance representative was very helpful in finding the best interest rate with loan term. Purchasing a vehicle has never been made easier! Anything I had questions on was throughly explained. I had bought a car from a dealership (different dealership), once before in my life and it was a horrible customer service experience. I was not guided through the process, as I was at Lucas Chevrolet. This time around my car shopping experience was as it should have been, enjoyable, easy, and satisfactory.I would gladly finance a vehicle from here again! read more

new jersey emissions and state inspection you do need mufflers especially when selling a vehicle. my lawyer will handle this issue if nothing is resolved because you never told me the vehicle had no mufflers. That is false advertising and providing misleading information on the vehicle especially if you're gonna sell to someone out of state-that is something you need to put in the description. Especially since, state inspections are not the same everywhere!! You basically sold me a vehicle that you knew had no mufflers and said nothing about it that's illegal!!? read more

This review is coming in a little late, but I did not want to forget Lucas Chevrolet for their outstanding customer service. My daughter was looking to trade in her lease a GMC Terrain. Patrick Grepo was our salesman ans he was very attentive to her needs and financial standing. He worked tirelessly to get her in the right car at the right monthly payment. She was not dissapointed she was able to lease a brand new 2025 Equinox for less than her current lease. The car had all the features she wanted. We started with test driving the Trax and she left with a car closely similiar to the Terrain in accessories and value. Everyone there was no nice and happy to help. Even the financing went smoothly. We are looking forward to trading in our car soon and working with Patrick and everyone at Lucas who were true professionals. read more

I bought a certified preowned truck from them a year ago it is now back with them for the 2nd check engine light in the last 8 months and will now need extensive transmission work that may or may not reveal further transmission damage. I would not recommend buying anything from this dealer and would encourage you to take your business elsewhere if you are in the market for a vehicle read more

Best experience of my life. I will never have that fear when my lease is up. They care about us and make it stress free.

We had the most amazing experience purchasing our Corvette today! The dealership is beautiful. Joel in sales and Summer the finance manager made this experience so pleasant and easy. First off, let me say that I understand service advisors have a job to do. With that being said, I was the first one in the door with a very simple problem. I misplaced my wheel lock key. It would've taken all of 5 minutes to have a tech see if they had the correct key to remove them. They downright refused. I even offered to do it myself in their parking lot with their master set to which I was also told no. Burlington Chevrolet had zero issues finding time for me. I will not be returning to this poor excuse of a service department. read more

Well, every dealer I've been to, whether it for a vehicle purchase, service repairs, or even just picking up some parts, has always advertised the "family owned" and "family friendly" dealer life. Lucas is the only place you can feel it. First time customers are welcomed just as much as long time customers. It's like a family reunion everyday. I've even heard them refer to customers as Aunts and Uncles when they weren't related (I asked!). They had ice cream cake during the week for the hell of it! No reason. No event. Everyone was welcome to it including customers!!! Going to the dealer use to be so stressful, now I'll swing by to make appointments in person just to catch up with everyone! read more

Customer service at this dealership is horrible compared to other Chevy dealerships in the area. When you pay good money for an extended warranty you shouldn't feel like they are doing you a favor to repair your vehicle especially when your asking for things covered under your warranty. With that being said you also shouldn't have to call Chevy's corporate office to make sure the dealership is doing the right thing. Two towns over there is a Chevy dealership that treat customers courteous and fair. read more

If paying a premium price for shoddy car service is your thing, then you found the right place. Being a gearhead, I thought I could save my 76 year old Mom the trouble and expense of having her oil changed. She only takes it to Lucas Chevrolet in Lumberton, NJ for service . I came to find out that the oil drain plug head was rounded off and torqued too tight. I could not drain the oil. I went to a quick lube place but they told me to take it back to Chevrolet. I went to this dealership and I explained the same to the service manager. I waited about an hour. I came home to change the oil. The oil drain plug is still not removable. I ordered a hammer bolt removal tool which I will use to remove the drain plug. Lesson learned. Dealerships portray a higher standard of workmanship for their inflated dealer service pricing. Don't believe their hype. read more

I was looking to purchase a Z06 Corvette as me and my wife have been saving for some years now. I had a 764 credit score and told them I'd finance through my own bank which is navy federal. Told me they would only run it 2 or 3 times. They ran my credit 5 times dropping my score 11 points. Now I'm at a 753 because of these lying imbeciles. I ended up purchasing the car off of Facebook marketplace for a great price. Don't do business with these clowns. Smile in your face and stab you in the back. Honesty takes you a long way. read more

John Bambino sold us a lemon. Our 4 month old car needs a new engine. After just 2 weeks it needed $700 worth of work. They told us they would help and turned their backs on us. This dealership is unethical and should be ashamed. I am getting married in less than a month and I am now stuck with a worthless car, a car payment, and paying off the repairs we have already made on it. I emailed and called the GM and he ignored me as well. Stand up dealership. We are the lower middle class that struggle. Bought a $8k car that you didn't lower the price on a bit because it was in "amazing" shape and now look at where we are!!! So angry. Have screenshots of my conversations with Bambino. read more

I took my car to Lucas for an a/c diagnosis. They gave me a price of 2200.00 and needed three days to get the part. Chevy dealer down the street did the same job for 1150.00 . That says it all for me. What does that tell you ? read more

Very disappointed at there professionalism at this dealership. I'm not going back to this dealer for any reason and nether should you

The maintenance department is the only part of this dealership that I have experience with. With that being said it has been a terrible experience. I had a valve in my exhaust messed up so they replaced my exhaust as it was under warranty. Immediately it had an exhaust leak after wards. I mentioned it multiple times after bringing it back but it was never fixed. The last time I was there I was getting my oil changed. When I get home I realized my hood is popped, it was never fully latched. Luckily it didn't fly up or it could have been really bad. When I call the shop back the manager, Bob,said "oh that's weird, that doesn't usually happen" and that was it. Thank you Bob read more

My vehicle at the time was under the 36,000 miles. I have a door rattle in the front passenger door that happens when music is played. Service department couldn't find anything wrong wit it and told me if it starts up again, come back in so a service rep could hear the noise. Immediately after I left, the noise started again, so I immediately took it back in. The service rep heard the noise along with a technician. The technician told me after hearing the noise that Chevy wasn't going to pay for the door to be sound proof. Never asked for that. The service rep tried to tell me that it's ok for one door to rattle with music. If that were the case, the other 3 doors would make the same noise, correct. Incompetent service reps and technicians. Car looks like 2 year old washed it and didn't even detail the inside like they said. Buying this car was another horrible experience!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I wasted enough of mine!!! read more

I don't know about the other posters problems, but I have never experienced anything but very good service and low pressure sales. When I bought my Silverado and needed to add step rails to assist me in getting into my truck; the rails came a day late and they were backed up with GM based problems, they gave me a car to use until the repairs were complete. But they did not give me some crappy used car; they gave me a top of the line 2014 Chevy Impala! Regarding service and sales I am surprised that they are coping as well as they are. Considering they are sharing the service facilities with Jeep/Chrysler they are doing quite well. The new building will be up soon and I expect that they will be even better. Something that needs explaining. I had a 2009 Silverado with the Stabilitrack, poor engine power, etc. When I asked why they were so busy at times, they explained how corporate problems occur. When GM has a recall repair all the dealerships get overloaded besides their regular maintenance work. Also recalls/repairs occur after the customers start having problems because the notices go out later to customers and dealers. Lastly my Silverado problem was a problem with the 5.3 EFS engine. The oil was not getting to specific cylinders with no warning from the dash info system. Even changing the engine was not a fix. Happy to say I traded it in at Lucas and bought the same truck but the 2014 version, with a new engine and interior/exterior. I am very happy with it and Lucas is doing a splendid job keeping me happy! read more

I am mad, mad, mad. No car yet, day 7. Lucas chevy service department management are absolute liars. Car needs brake lines after 3 days of telling me "parts just came in" along with excuses why they hadn't worked on it yet. Today 5/22 I was told still working on it because they couldn't get parts cause car is so old; 2004 buick lesabre, said they had to make the parts. Just went online found brake lines, hoses etc are available. The service at Lucas Chevy took forever and was very inconvenient. In the end was told that the price for service on the breaks would be reduced due to the excessive time taken when originally a few days was quoted. When I went to pay the bill reductions were not make to the bill. I had to pay the full amount for the break job! read more

I was the only car in the service department. Came in with an oil change appointment. No one came out to my car to see what services I needed. The man just stared occasionally over at me. Finally after almost 45 min. He finally comes to ask me if I needed services or had an appointment! I also had two small children with me in the car in car seats. I was ignored for so long because they said I needed to get out go inside and he said he was busy. He was not busy! He sat there and I was the only car in the service department with an appointment so they were expecting me! Poor customer care!! I will never go there neither will you ever work on my car! Well, let's see, I walked in and asked to take a gander at a car I'd seen online -- and was promptly asked to leave because I wouldnt tell them my name when the guy asked. I told him several times i did not have an appt with anyone, and he would not take my word for it. (This was not for a test drive, mind you -- I just wanted to look at the car on the lot, parked.) Be forewarned, at any car dealership: The ONLY reason to ask for your name, is to TRACK you. Some of us dont like to be tracked -- hard to figure, isnt it? Correction:The other reason to they want your name is so they say it over and over to you while they're insulting you. It's a quite effective technique for abuse. I strongly recommend never giving your real name until you have to -- if you are forced to, use a "nickname." read more

Don't go here. It is not worth the drive. I received a flyer from here yesterday for a prize giveaway, so I decided to take a chance and play. It clearly stated that if I matched 3 "7's" on both sides of the prize card, I would win a 55 " TV. I ended up matching 3 "7's" on both sides of the prize card. I called the number today the dealership gave and spoke to someone who said I did in fact win a prize. I asked if there was a catch, and they said there wasn't. So I drove about an hour out of my way and spoke to a very grumpy gentleman who told me I only won a cheap smartwatch because the number on the card didn't match what I needed to for the TV. I showed him the card and the prize legend and he got annoyed at me and said "It very clearly states..." and proceeded to get a manager. I spoke to the manager and told him that this type of advertising is deceptive, and he told me, I kid you not, "Advertising is deceptive". The smartwatch "value" on the advertisement said it would be $300. I looked it up online and they were selling on eBay for $20. If people here are going to pull stunts like this, I would NOT trust them in selling me a car. Please, do yourself a favor and buy a car somewhere else. read more

Visited this place because of the Game Flyer. Wasn't expecting anything much anyways. I would not have written a bad review even if i did not win anything. But decided to post this only for the sheer arrogance of the grumpy guy who attended me. Was sitting with the business card reading Harrison (Not sure if its actually the same guy though who was attending me). I showed him the mailer and politely asked him if i had won anything (wanted to try my luck; like i said was not expecting anything). But this old guy was really grumpy & ignorant. Just was straight out rude & condescending throughout. The dealership needs to understand that this is not the way to have the salesperson talk with people. P.S. Will mention though that the guy who greeted me (before i was assigned to the arrogant guy) as i walked in was polite. read more

I would give this company zero stars if I could. We bought a 2008 Chevy Silverado from this dealership. It is a rust bucket! We didn't know at the time that under the fenders was covered in rust. We still owe 11,000! read more

I didn't buy my Chevy Avalanche here, so this review is about the service department. I cannot stress enough how inept the service is or how I always feel they are trying to rip me off. They never wanted to fix issues that were covered by my full warranty, only the things that weren't. They always forgot to call when parts came in, and always seemed to suggest costly repairs when they weren't necessary. But here's my worst experience yet: I brought my vehicle in to have the door moldings replaced for the 4th time and to diagnose a problem with the stabilitrack system error messages. When i picked it up the moldings were put on poorly and need to be done again. As for the other issue I was told I their diagnostic computer determined I needed a new transmission, a new ebs system, and other work. The estimate was about $7000.00. I took it to another local Chevy dealer and using the diagnostic computer they determined it was the the purge solenoid from the error code. They changed it for under $500 and the problem was solved. The employees are always polite but the experience at the end is always offensive. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Bought a used car here...they added hidden fees into my payments. Also, the vehicle i wad trading in wasn't even in my name (i was the co-signer) and they added the difference between what the owner owed & the trade in value to the car i was buying from them. Unfortunately, i realized all of this after buying it. The car dealers, especially Tom, were extremely unprofessional and literally ARGUED and said rude remarks to me. Fortunately i got out from under the car...purchased the same car from a dealer who actually treated me like a paying customer.
