My truck was overheating three and a half hours from home, and over an hour from where I needed to be. I limped into the service station at 4:40 on a Friday evening (20 min before closing for the weekend). Without any delay, the team got to work on my truck. They used connections to get parts very quickly and started immediately. Within an hour we were back on the road and made it, safely, to our destination for Winter Trek. I was just inspected a few months ago in RI - have always brought my car to the dealer for all servicing and have followed the recommended schedule from Subaru and have done every suggested item my dealer has suggested. I was just at the dealer for 4 new tires (recommended) a wheel alignment, and oil service. I'm assuming the inspection will be a lay-up. Not so fast. The expertise here noted some movement in the rear right suspension - and for $750 they'd be happy to fix it. Having just had the car looked at - and no such problem noted - I opted to go back to my dealer with what they folks at VIP cited. I asked them to fix if there was a problem. My dealer called me and said - we don't mind fixing something that is broke - but you don't have any problems with your rear right suspension. I asked that to be put in writing - they said no problem. I called VIP and informed them. They asked to see it in writing and then I would be issued my inspection sticker. I had to schedule a new appointment fot this meeting - and when I arrived - lo and behold - my Subaru authorized dealer's written word was not acceptable. I had an authorized Subaru dealer with certified subaru mechanics review the car. They stated in writing that the car met all Subaru requirements and there was no excessive wear in any of the suspension. I presented this paper to them. Nope, not good enough - they know better. They imply in words and actions that they know Subaru standards better than a subaru dealer and their certified mechanics. They suggest I find another dealer - a not so nice man in beard just about threatened me and stormed off when I stated they went back on their word. Well - I am opting for a different place to complete the inspection. I will never, ever, ever recommend this place to anyone. In fact - I will go out of my way to share this experience with anyone and everyone. You can't fix dumb - and then toss in stubborn and ignorant. Best of luck to anyone who goes to this place.

Josh the manager and Josh the one of the head mechanics are personable knowledge, and honest, This morning I took a QX60 to recharge the A/C and when I described the behavior Josh assured of what I thought --- the A/C was cutting out because the car was idling in a 95 degree sun for too long and with no air flow over the radiator, the system shut off the compressor. He said it wasn't worth spending the money to top up the pressure if it worked as is. And as the last manager Lance Foss was also high in my esteem, I can assume that the N Conway franchise will keep its reputation.

Cliff, Dominic, Jacob... and the gentleman hidden beneath my vehicle handling the oil drop... In a word: Superlative... In late October... I had mentioned to Jacob about distributing helium balloons to the kids while they waited patiently for the vehicle service in mom/dad's car... it was just a suggestion... I did not think he would take me literally... But he went further... I was the destination of the idea he ran with... After a 5-minute wait, I received an oil change today in addition to a safety check... tire pressure check... vehicle lights... and car wash... (the high center brake light assembly was also changed!) With humor... aplomb, dignity... and professional assessments of my truck... And... Jacob handed me a coveted red helium balloon... Perhaps it is just symbolism... but this gesture is far-reaching... this cements my go-to place for service... Not just a simple symbol... but an assurance of consistency in service standards... If I had known the truck would fail inspection, then why would I spend over $300 on the old change and air filters? The order in which the two services occurred is DELIBERATELY DESIGNED so that the company can MAKE MONEY before failing your inspection. THIS IS SURELY NOT A GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE. BUYERS BEWARE. AT THE VERY LEAST, BE SURE TO INSIST THAT THEY PERFORM THE INSPECTION FIRST. DON'T BE HOODWINKED.
