While ski skiing and snowboarding has got over the expensive Brighton is actually at a decent value, especially if you look for a discount. This is always our go to resort as a family.

There are no passenger elevators, so trekking up and down the stairs with luggage without being "climatized" to the altitude is a challenge. It should be noted the staff will assist you with your luggage if necessary. Regarding the location, it is fantastic. The views are incredible; it literally looks like a post card. Although not skiing season, there are lifts (not in operation due to summer) everywhere. I imagine it gets pretty packed and crazy during the winter. Hiking opportunities are everywhere right outside the lodge. We went on a "novice" hike that took us to the top of a mountain like eight miles away. OMG. As part of the wedding party and my officiant duties, there were multiple breakfast and dinners organized by Alta Lodge. The staff was fantastic, and the food was good. Alta Lodge also has a weekend brunch that attracts people from all over the area. The brunch was top notch! Regarding the accommodations, we had a fireplace, balcony, and a view of the mountains. It was a great sight. Our room did a have a bad smell (as did other rooms in our group) that I believe is the result of months/years of moisture in the carpet, drapes, and wood. This is the only thing I did not care for. Only other issue is the front desk is not occupied 24/7, and anyone can walk off the street and into the hotel. I would recommend better security. Overall, the customer service and quality of wedding organizer made up for the two issues noted above. Again, the service at Alta Lodge was excellent!

We parked by 7:30am and hung out in the lodge until 8:30 AM when we lined up at Collins lift to get first tracks and the powder. Avalanche control going all morning. Today's storm wasn't very cold so the powder was heavy. The bowls didn't open up but skiing was still great! Plenty of terrain to cover even without the bowls. Because the powder was heavy, people were clearing out by 2 PM.

But the snow this week was better on the traditional ones. You can check your gear overnight for $20 either in a multiple day locker or basket check. Finishing 6th day here. Love this place!

I really wanted to love this hotel despite its lack in amenities! however it has been a crap show…read moreafter we checked out of the hotel and drove the less than 1 hour drive home only to realized we had left a personal item behind. I immediately reached out to the hotel. long story short the hotel staff strung me along saying that I needed to talk to house keeping because house keeping would likely have thrown our belongings away when cleaning the room. However despite me calling every single day for four days I could not be put through to house keeping. eventually i was given the email address for the house keeping manager who agreed to replace or reimburse me for the item. however she then emailed me back saying that the hotel has changed their mind and will not be reimbursing me after all. Utah Code Title 29. Hotels and Hotel Keepers § 29-1-2  A person who is an innkeeper, hotel keeper, boarding house or lodging house keeper shall be liable for a loss of any of such property of a guest in the person's inn caused by the theft or negligence of the innkeeper or the innkeeper's servant. Update 3/4/23 I was finally reimbursed! After sharing the state law with them. This has ruined my entire outlook on this hotel. The upstairs of the lodge has a small bedroom with a bed and two adjourning bedrooms that have 8 beds between the two; 7 full size, 1 twin size. Kitchen comes fully equipped to prepare simple meals for large groups with plenty of plates, cups, eating and cooking utensils. We attempted to use the jacuzzi. A lot of foreign hairs came out of the jets. Only some of the lights upstairs turned on. The wifi was sporadic and mostly didn't work upstairs. Overall the place was clean and had plenty of parking. Bring entertainment if pool isn't enough for your group.

Meg, Shannon and Tom at the front desk were so helpful and kind. They made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant Swen was fantastic! The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. We met the executive chef and he sent us an appetizer that was new to his menu, and it was amazing! We also had excellent service at the spa. I had a great massage with Mish that really helped my sore neck and shoulders. I can't say enough about how much we loved our stay at Snowpine. The service and personnel were incredible!
