if you're going expecting to see what round one advertises in the first place (that is, their japanese claw machines) then just give up because youll find that a staggering amount were replaced with low quality dollar store prizes, such as baby wipes and pringles. and they also cost the same amount of credits per swipe as a regular claw machine for a figure or something similar, even though the new weird household necessities/snack prizes are like a couple cents for them to buy... and then like $10+ for you to gamble on the claw machines are incredibly rigged, the small ones at the front w the collab plushies (vocaloid) it had an extremely high payout and you couldnt even cheese it bcuz the claw literally had NO grip at all. the hsr collab pillow machines are BS, its a terrible mix between luck and skill that makes getting anything within a reasonable price limit absolutely impossible. even the regular skill games can be rigged too. read more

I booked a room online for a kids birthday party. The process was simple and easy. The prices were reasonable as well. Communication from the staff was really great. They informed me a couple of days prior to the party that the air-conditioning (AC) system was not working. Although they gave me the proper notice, I did not realize how stuffy and uncomfortable the rooms were without the AC. The party was on a weekend that was very warm and I think that AC issue should have been addressed with priority. The kids had fun either way and the food was served while still warm. A couple of my YELPIE GIRLIES wanted to meet up somewhere for Karaoke so we searched on YELP & found out that Round1 has party rooms with KARAOKE for rent. I called to try and reserve a room but, they said it's FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! So I decided to host an UYE and we called it "PRE NEW YEARS UYE WITH JANET" PARTY OF 9: OK, first of all DEC. 30th should not be at HOLIDAY PRICES. DEC. 31st should be at HOLIDAY PRICE!! Located at the Promenade Temecula, there's a good amount of parking. This is by far the LARGEST Round1 I've been to in Southern California. I kept walking around and it seemed like the claw machines and games were endless. They have so many different machines! I'd say that it seems this is the most rigged though. Other locations, the claw strength is a bit stronger, but this location, the claw barely picks the plush up at all and needs a higher payout. They have a variety of games, bowling, and karaoke. Love this place for the games. They have a gigantic variety of games compared to most arcades. There's never really a problem with a large amount of the games not working. They check bags after a certain time which is nice for safety. But we decided to try the bowling. The wait wasn't bad for the little amount of lanes they have. While we waited for the lane we got the shake 'em fries which were priced at almost $6 compared to $3 regular fries. These shake 'em fries were advertised to be super Cajun seasoned, which sounds great. Then you get your basket and it's disappointing. For reference, $120 on one card is 777 points to spend (listed as their best deal)... Games are between 10 and 20 points per. For reference, you cannot spend $120 for 777 points and split it across multiple cards... Which makes sense. If you buy two separate cards for $55 each, you get 300 points (listed as their most popular). So you literally burn through that in half hour. If you bring your whole family and you've got multiple cards, plan on spending easily $200 plus. Enough of the value here and let's talk about the food... The food for a bowling alley & arcade is not too bad. Sometimes you come across a good deal like $0.99 for an ice cream cone. Service has always been pretty fast here with food. We Yelpie Friends got together for an early New Years Celebration at Round 1 karaoke is always a crowd pleaser. Round 1 happens to have 3 private rooms for karaoke. They have 2 tables and a couch. What a nice set up except the room was stuffy due to the AC being down. They gave us 2 pitchers of water to cool us off? For the 9 of us we wanted the room for 2 hours. It was reasonable if you divided it that way. The sound system and TV work great. They give you 2 mics. Too bad the time goes by so fast. It was a fun evening. I did waste close to 30 minutes waiting for my food order though. I got the tayaoki and it was horrible. I do not recommend! They usually have ramen but were out of it. That's probably a blessing in disguise. They probably should stick with pizza and burgers. Oh and their ice cream was only 0.99 cents. That's a great deal and it comes with a cone. read more

We hosted my daughter's birthday here and the kids had a blast. They have various packages available to fit all types of budgets. We went with the 3 hour party and felt like that was the perfect amount of time. Started off bowling for two hours and ended the party with arcade games for the last hour. The pizza was actually pretty decent, it surprised me. Our party host was great and frequently checked in on us. The arcade is massive and has a bunch of claw machines, video games, and typical arcade games. I would suggest steering away from the claw machines. The whole place is huge and its fairly loud. The bathrooms are generally dirty. We bowl here, but prices are outrageous and they are first come first serve base. The lanes are limited as well. The food is also extremely expensive. While we wait for a lane to free up, we will play pool. I am terrible at shooting pool amd bowling so I don't do both those activities. We always love visiting Round One when we travel to Temecula! There is a large parking area just outside the entrance, and you can also connect to the rest of the mall from inside Round One as well. What I like about Round One versus Dave and Busters is that they have a large variety of crane games including some that require you to "push" the prize through a hole versus just grabbing it with the crane. I find these are a bit easier to win. I also like that their store where you can redeem your tickets includes a better variety of items including well-known brands like Tokidoki and well-known board games as well. Round One does seem to emphasize crane games over ticket winning games whereas Dave and Busters seems to be the opposite. The staff are also very friendly, and they generally are happy to reposition a prize in a crane game if you're having trouble. They also happily gave us a prize that had begun to fall down the chute but got stuck on the side when the label caught on a corner. We have not tried their food per se but have tried their ice cream and enjoyed it. We noticed that they seem to have expanded their food menu and now have ramen and other tasty sounding Asian dishes. A good spot to bring your kids or teenagers that's located in the promenade mall. They have arcades, but it can get pricey. However , both times we bowled here and coincidentally we've gotten lane 11, it has broken down both times we bowled here. They did add the time back that we lost which is good. After our experience at the National City location, we found the Temecula location was much closer to us and decided to take a trip up to check it out. The facility was very open and very clean. The card reload machines were all functioning! There was a massive assortment of arcade and claw machines to choose from. We took a several attempts to get a plushie from one of the claw machines and needed to have the plushie reset a few times. The attendant on the floor who assisted us was an absolute gem, and I wished I got his name for the outstanding service he provided. He was very approachable, friendly and charismatic. The party rooms for karaoke we walked by were large and looked like an ideal place to come hang out with friends for an evening of fun. I can't say how the food is at this location as we were very full from dinner prior to coming here, but maybe next time we'll try it. This is the second year we celebrate my brothers birthday at Round1 Temecula and they changed the all inclusive pakage this year. Although you are paying for all inclusive you only get two slices of pizza per person and a refreshments that are unlimited (as long as they keep refilling the pitchers). It did not feel like it was all inclusive and the cards they give you for the three hour unlimited is not unlimited because you are limited to the games that have a green or blue color. Needless to say there are only a handful machines that are actually functioning. Even when you are playing on the same machine it times you out and a message will appear stating you have to wait. For example I was playing on the Jurassic Park game and I was unable to scan a third time to extend the level I was at so the game ended completely and I had to restart once the timeframe had lapsed. On top of that the Asian/ Filipino Ass. Mgr was not receptive and quite frankly rude. I purchased an additional $142 worth of food to make up for the lack of food the 3 hr all inclusive pass did not include this year. I asked the young man at the food place the ingredients or difference of the ramen bowls because we had the birthday person with shrimp allergy and his response was I don't know and he didn't even try to figure it out. I went back to the kiosk where he sent me in the first place and on the counter it states that if we have food questions to ask the staff. I would just have cross it off my list but the request was from the birthday person, so I went back and asked the young lady that had just started her shift and at least she looked at the box and read the ingredients. I appreciate her help (sorry didn't catch her name). I honestly felt ripped off and the other mgr "Thomas" was at least receptive to getting feedback. Also they not only charged the deposit fee but charged me the full tab on the day of the event, so I am literally being robbed of my money. Good thing I checked my bank account, but now I will have to drive an hour to go dispute their overcharge. Honestly, I recommend you go to a restaurant and eat something delicious and then come to the arcades and pay for a card that allows you to enjoy all the games/ rides or go bowling but don't waste you money on their food. OMG, this has to be one of the largest, if not largest Round 1. There is at least 20 claw machines to play with. Some of the claw machine are skill games where as the other are play until you get it type of a thing. The staffs here are SUPER nice and willing to reposition the dolls for you, so you can have a fresh start. I know some Round 1 have managers that will say "only ONE adjustment each time you come ok, no adjusting back and forth." What is the point having a place like this if you don't want people to win? Been coming here for some time now and today probably had the worst experience ever. I am pretty skilled at this one particular game and usually can win jackpot 80% of the time. Each time I come here I load $100. Came here this Sunday evening with my wife and little one and tried to go for the big prize tonight. After 5 jackpot hits, the machine stopped responding on the 6th try and thought it glitched and tried it a seventh time and still the ball was not counting. I went over to the front desk to address the issue and the manager basically said the machine is defective and he would refund the $ I put in for the 7 games I inserted and basically deleted my 5 wins pay out. Why would he do that? He just needed to address the 6th and 7th games insert rather than using that as an excuse to not pay out my winnings for the 7 games I won. He asked me if I have evidence or footages and I said you can certainly check the cameras and he said he did not have access to them. He did not attempt to try to do more besides refund me the 7 games I inserted. I told him if he wanted proof he can follow me to the machine and I'd show him I can beat the machine. He declined and just did not give me any more options to provide more customer service. Told me to have a great day there is nothing he can do about this. If you win at a casino and then the casino basically says sorry you didn't win because the machine is defective is just completely unacceptable. I can provide the 10 pictures right after they reported the machine and the tech did confirm the machine glitched 6th and 7th attempt. The machine even was still counting all my winnings. This manager was just not a very good one and went about the wrong way to handle this escalation. This is why they have 2 stars. read more

People complaining on here about the jackpots and not winning toys sound like people who would complain they lost all their money in vegas. Bartender was a great kid. Bald guy think he said his name was Geoff. Reminds me of my old college roommate who took his own life in the summer of 92. This Geoff kid was a rockstar though. Pretty standard experience for a Round1 karaoke room rental. Give your ID, pay for the room for however long in advance and they give you mics and books and a healsonic pad. I prefer to use the app though because I already have my faves bookmarked and ready to load in an instant. You just set the wifi on your phone to healsonic and then sync to the code on the screen and then you're set. Unlike other Round1 karaoke rooms I've been in this place lets you access Spanish songs in addition to the English ones. They even give you a book with Spanish songs listed if you want to search manually instead of through the app. Oh - if you dim the lights too low the security person will come and tell you they need to be able to see you through the glass for safety reasons. read more
