Cheap ramen as expensive play claw game prizes.

PUNKED?! Sadly going to spend our fun money elsewhere. Today we went and more than half of the crane game prizes were replaced with things that could be bought from a DOLLAR STORE - sponges, off brand sandwich bags, baby wipes, tissue box, cheap ramen, Gatorade, mini pretzels, etc. WTH? Who is going to pay $5 plus to win one $1 Ramen I could but a block over? It's beyond me how they thought this would be a good move. My family and I came here once a month and spent a lot of money on the games. The food was overpriced and ick.

Round1 Bowling & Arcade is a really fun experience. It's brand new, refreshed and remodeled and took over part of the old Sears Grand. This is like a Dave & Busters/Gameworks with a focus on Japanese games/prizes. There's a ton to do for people of all ages - there is a quick service restaurant inside, arcade games, video games and bowling lanes. I personally really liked the mini claw machines with small prizes inside - they're actually winnable which is surprising for this game lol. The prices are comparable to your average Dave & Busters location. It's definitely worth a visit, especially since it's brand new.

New, big with a lot of arcades. We were able to try bowling out too and it was great as well.

Poor management, terrible customer service. We came in today, 7 of us to play some games. The bar was closed because apparently they forgot to renew their liquor license. The security was harassing us about our water bottles. The ping pong area did not have a table or sufficient seating to accommodate people renting them. We moved a small table from 10 feet away, the adjacent billiards area and the manager along with five guys came to get the table back. He literally interrupted our game, and said he needs the table back. When tried to reason with him, pointing out that there are 7 of us and we rented both ping pong tables, we bought food and have nowhere to sit or put our stuff, the billiards didn't have anyone to use this table, he didn't care. His response was "this is how my company wants to run things". I mean we are paying customers. Has he not heard of customer service? This is bad customer service, I let him know (in case he didn't know). Seriously, who does that?? Coming in, interrupting our fun game (while our rental time is ticking) and getting the table and chairs from under us?? This is not just bad customer service, this is bad manners. Left very bad impression of this whole experiences I don't think we'd be coming back. Would not recommend this place.

Great place to spend a day. There's arcade machines, claw machines, bowling and you can grab food and drinks.

Kids play area- super clean, but where the seats are you can't see your kids so you end up standing the whole time. Would love seating more centrally located so I can keep an eye on my kids. It's a little boring for adults. It would be cool if they put some games or something in there since there are no adults allowed in the climbing structure, even if your child is too little to do them alone. They do have a tiny toddler type area, but it would be tough for kids who want to do the bigger areas but need help. Most places allow you to help your younger child, here they don't. It is a huge area with a lot to do and my 9 and 13 year old had an awesome time. Just some areas to think about improving.

Great plushies

We asked to sit on the patio, and the atmosphere was awesome! We had tons of room at our 6-person table, and we had an umbrella, which was a lifesaver for the sunny, hot day. We specifically came here for their patio and entertainment; Brecken Miles was the entertainment, and he was singing and playing guitar. We were not disappointed because he was awesome! Servicewise, our waitress was nice, but admittedly, it took her a LONG time to check on us throughout our meal. There seemed to only be 2 waitresses working the patio area, so, understandably, service was a bit slow. Drinkwise, more than half of our table ordered a Pacifico because they had them on draft and in a can, but our waitress came back 10 minutes later telling us they only had one can left and were all out. Three of us ended up ordering a different drink, and thankfully, they had many options to choose from. Now, onto the biggest disappointment: the food. I ordered a new Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and it was DROWNED in sauce. Normally, I love a ton of sauce, and when I first got my sandwich, I was excited by the amount of sauce. However, once I tasted it, I noticed that the chicken itself was so tough and overcooked that they probably put so much sauce on it to try and make the chicken more wet. Well, let me tell you, it didn't help at all. I did tell the waitress, and she was nice about taking my food back and allowing me to order something else. I ended up ordering 2 crispy tacos instead. These were fine, but nothing special and honestly very plain. My family was done with their food by the time I got my new meal, but thankfully, we were staying to listen to the music, so it didn't matter too much. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, but I tried my husband's Chicken Caesar Salad, and the chicken in that wasn't very good to me, either. It tasted plain with no seasonings. Overall, I'm sure I will come here again for some type of family affair, but I will be very selective next time about what I am ordering. NO chicken for me.

Couple of things surprised me - I was surprised to see so many options at a bar and only 7 reviews on yelp. Highly underrated and under reviewed place. Food - I ate one of the best pizzas in town, the crust was phenomenal. The owner told me the frozen crust gets imported from ITALY. Boars Head meat . So you know it is good stuff. I didn't leave the crust at all finished entire pizza. the toppings were generously added. I will try their fresh cut sandwiches next time. Drinks - Loved my old fashioned and then owner came in and offered me McCallan 17 year to try since I never had one (he didn't even charge me for it). Ambiance - Had so many things to do. FREE POOL tables, electronic darts, slot machines and lot of board games. I did shoot some balls. And was brand new. The owner is planning to get pool league started next year. Will be working towards that next year. Specials - Every day they run specials and every day they have cheap beers too. Easily you could spend few hours keeping yourself entertained. I am half an hour car ride away, will surely visit again for fully loaded pepperoni pizza. See you soon owner. May be next time I play pool with you.

Expect communication from your DJ? Don't choose Memory Makers Entertainment!…read more We booked Memory Makers fifteen months prior to our wedding and thought we would be able to check one task off the list, but booking Memory Makers led to more headaches than any other aspect of our wedding. We had a minor issue with the check when we paid for the DJ immediately after booking. We began trying to connect with Dave Woll, Memory Maker's owner, in April of 2018 to verify everything had been straightened out with the check. We tried calling, emailing, and sending messages to Memory Maker's Facebook page, but didn't get a response until November of 2018 when we finally sent a message to Dave's personal Facebook account. Dave's four word response to our months-long attempts to get in touch with him left us with little assurance that we'd have a DJ the night of our wedding. Approximately three weeks before our wedding, we provided our DJ (Andres) with our song list and once again got silence in return. After reaching out to Andres and Dave several times, we had to resort to our wedding venue's event coordinator to help us get a response from Memory Makers. Dave emailed us THREE DAYS prior to our wedding that DJ Andres was no longer available. As you can imagine, we were left in a panic not only because of this new but our calls to Dave that night went unanswered. When we finally got a call back, Dave tried to "fix" the situation by having a DJ at our Saturday wedding (our wedding was actually on a Friday). After so many headaches, lack of communication, lack of professionalism we decided to go with another DJ company. Save yourself the stress of having to worry about whether you'll have a DJ on your important occasion. Do NOT book Memory Makers Entertainment for your Chicagoland event.

We chose Greg as our DJ and although he had to make a hefty commute to Countryside,IL on a Friday when traffic is brutal, he never once complained or seemed unhappy. He was super friendly and definitely a crowd pleaser. Finding out that he was a White Sox fan was also hilarious since our wedding cake was in the shape of Wrigley Field and we even had a Wrigley Field Scoreboard for our seating chart LOL. He also played the Go Cubs Go song for us. What a nice guy! We had a fantastic wedding and we are so grateful to Greg for being a big part of that success. We also used the photobooth with Memory Makers and loved it! We have a guest book filled with pictures and personalized notes from our guests that we will get to look back at and keep forever. My experience with Dave the owner was a great one as he was very efficient on the timeline that was needed to make the wedding a success. My husband and I truly love these GUYS and promise you will not be disappointed!

Felt bad for the bartender, I believe his name was Rodney? He was the only one working the front! Husband had a burger and fries. He really enjoyed his meal. I tried their grilled pork steak chop dinner. Comes with two and you have options to have them grilled, fried, or smothered. Two sides I had corn bread and green beans. Also a side of cabbage. All very good!! Pork chop I give a 8/10! For drinks I did try one of the drinks of the night which was a pink senorita. Wasn't too bad and then finished off with a Stella Artois! Husband drank modelo. The Friday night drink special was a bucket of modelo or coronas.

Four Waters and Other Trials of the Soul…read more If a man wanders long enough, he will eventually stumble into a place that reveals more about himself than any sermon. For four sailors reunited after forty years, that unlikely sanctuary was Toby's Bar & Grill, a weary outpost crouched on Green Bay Road like a tavern set between two kingdoms: one ruled by hunger, the other by Providence. The place sagged under winter's grime. Its windows streaked as though it had spent the season mourning. Inside, the room was split as neatly as the world: to the right, an oversized bar tended by a woman clinging to the fashions of another century. Around her, four elderly patrons who seemed carved into their stools by time. Most striking was a woman in a leopard coat crowned with trembling feathers. Regal and tragic. Like a queen who misplaced her throne. We, four men of advancing years, entered awkwardly and collided into one another like schoolboys. The moment held that subtle modern tension, the instinct to divide the room into "us" and "them." Yet we pressed on. A man must not let discomfort masquerade as virtue. The tables on the left leaned and sighed under our weight, their outdated chairs demanding one foot on the floor for balance. When the barmaid arrived with menus sticky from long neglect, she declared that most of what they offered did not, in fact, exist. The prices were fiction as well. It was the sort of warning one receives at the start of a fable, though we ignored the warning and asked for water. Time thickened. Minutes dragged. When water finally appeared, it came with a bottle of lemon juice, as though sliced fruit at a bar was mere legend told by travelers. Our first man ordered a hamburger. "We're out," she replied with the calm finality of a sentry who has turned away better men. Pork chops became our new hope. She shouted the question across the room to the cook, a man we presumed to be Toby himself, perched at the bar with a drink like a minor god who had grown tired of his own kitchen. His answer drifted back with the voice of a beaten-down foe. We surrendered our plans and followed the path of pork chops. I asked only for a BLT, trusting that even a troubled kingdom could manage bread, bacon, and lettuce. Another long wait. More unquenched thirst. The barmaid floated among her regulars, leaving us to the silence of our own conversation. When the food arrived, the pork chops still carried their bones, the fries were seasoned with the enthusiasm of an unsupervised child, and my BLT came on untoasted loaf bread with lettuce shaved into confetti. It looked as though an angel had attempted cookery without understanding how gravity or sandwiches worked. A refill of water arrived in a plastic pitcher last seen in church basements of the 1970s. Still, it was cold. Gratitude has survived on less. The bill was merciful. The experience was not. Yet we left oddly richer, for not every journey nourishes the body. Some teach the quieter truths. Toby's offered us little comfort, but it did grant us something more: the rediscovery of fellowship in a place that time forgot. We walked back into the cold afternoon bemused and strangely full of story. Four old sailors, carrying a new tale no map would ever trouble to mark.
