Went last Sunday using Groupon and we had a blast! The place is organize and clean. Not super crowded lots of space for family members who are there to watch the kids play. Honestly, 2 hrs is not even enough when you are having fun with family and friends! celebrated my son's instant bday with his friends and their parents who also enjoyed the place. Well, there are plenty of scary and dirty bowling joints in the Midwest. Raymond certainly does not fit that category. As far as facilities go, it is clean and well kept. It is a bit on the smaller side. The bar is packed with locals who don't appear to be there to bowl. The bartender was very friendly and made a great G&T. Drinks were cheap, too! Unfortunately service at the bowling counter was lackluster. Mr. Smiles could use a few lessons on customer service. He seemed to be annoyed and was not helpful. Telling us the 6 of us couldn't get 2 lanes because of a league would be fine....if a league was actually taking up those lanes next to us. Instead we spent a long time trying to get through the games on one lane, while watching the lanes next to us go unused. Perhaps they wanted us to hang around longer to buy more food, perhaps they wanted to get even more people in on that lane. Whatever the case, perhaps I'll pick a different bowling place next time we go out. read more

This place lacks in many ways, but its about what I expected given the area. The bar is ok, and the bowling lanes are ok too. The thing that really lack here is customer service. With the bar- expect to get ignored because you aren't a local or the bar tenders friend. Drinks are okay and food is edible. Music is pretty loud in the middle of the day... With the lanes, expect to wait and be put on the back burner because of all the leagues. The prices are good though! read more

Made us wait over an hour and a half for a lane. We were sitting in front two open lanes that whole time. Thought they were down. Then let's someone else onto the lane. Pretty annoying. We went here for a friends birthday the other weekend and we just had the best time. We wanted to bowl in the wildside area and there were two lanes open--but at different ends. So we decided to wait. It was about a 45 minute wait and we did that in the bar. What a NICE bar for a bowling alley. Some people were just there to drink--no bowling at all!! We ordered some shots ($2 special--not shabby! and some appetizers). GREAT food and service. We also found out that they have a special called 2 for $20. It is 2 games of bowling, 2 beers, and 2 appetizers for two people. Not shabby! read more

Nice lanes, good bar with a decent selection. But when we twister requested a second lane for six people, we were told the others next to is were reserved. An hour later, and only starting our second game, the two adjacent lanes remain empty. Basically, they'd rather tie up a single lane for two hours and probably hope we keep buying food, than letting us play on two lanes when there was absolutely no wait. I'm a fan because it gives the burgers something to do :) Not only does the bar have darts but the "wild side" is way fun. Biggest problem? The wait is FOREVERRRRRRRR...but send me to the bar to hangout and mingle with all my old high school chums and have some cocktails--you won't hear a complaint outta me. We just took my 4 year old son here today to celebrate his birthday. We had a groupon it was very affordable for 5 of us to bowl for 2 hours and included drinks on wild side. We went on a Monday afternoon at noon and it was nice because we had the place to ourselves being an off time. My son had such an amazing time and the venue is well taken care of, bowling shoes are comfortable and the bathrooms are very clean. We ordered food and it was very good I was surprised coming from a snack bar but the fries and mozzarella sticks were amazing! I noticed that on weekdays they have specials for off times so I will defiantly be going back soon, especially with the colder weather coming it's great to let the kids burn off some energy. I also looked at the birthday party packages and it seems really affordable-I think it would be worth it to have a birthday party here in the future verses at home. The staff was so nice they helped us get a lighter ball for my son. And when my son wanted something from the vending machine the man was refilling it so he treated my son to his snack. I can not say enough good things about this establishment. We have been to many birthday parties here and also had one ourselves and they are all so welcoming and friendly. We love that you can always bowl on the Wild Side and enjoy coming weekday afternoons after school. From checking in to ordering snacks everyone is always smiling and willing to help. My family had a great time! Staff was super friendly, very clean facility. Only down fall was the lanes took forever to get your ball back. When you can only bowl for a certain time it kinda hurts! Besides that we had a great time, we were able to finish 3 games in 2 hours, even with kids. We did play till the buzzer. We will definitely be back. read more

Recently had my sons 7th birthday party here with 18 kids for the ultimate package of bowling, pizza and games! It was so nice, organized and stress free planning and cleanup! I went there today, bowled a series of games. The cashier informed me they have a 3 game for 5 dollar deal which includes shoes. That's a great deal! I'm happy he reccomened me to play 3 games. I bowled terribly but that's beside the point. The food was pretty good, took a little while though, I didn't mind. The bar was packed because of the game. Everyone In there was friendly, can't ask it a better environment. I do wish they had better balls though to use or when I don't have mine with me. Other than that, great place! read more

Very bad service. Management no where to be found. Bartenders are absolutely horrible and rude. They only pay attention to regulars.

Typical run of the mill bowling alley. They recently relocatedto a new and bigger building, which I find to be a perk. The far right 8 lanes are for cosmic bowling and seperated from the remaining lanes. The music they played was crap pop music instead of the mentioned rock. Just came home from our son's 5th birthday party at Raymond's, and everyone had a BLAST. We booked the "Extreme Wildside Party" which included one hour of bowling (two lanes), one hour in the party room, arcade tokens for all the children, a souvenir bowling pin, and a personal party host - all for only $13 per child. Our host was fantastic - she was right there anytime we needed her, attentive, and anticipated our needs and those of our guests. The souvenir bowling pin was an actual, authentic bowling pin, which our party host brought to each guest to sign. We booked our party at 2pm on a Saturday, and the entire place was rather empty when we arrived, so if you're someone looking to bowl without having a reserved party, that might be a good time! The arcade is made up almost entirely of ticket games, which, of course, is perfect for the little kids. It was fun to see a bunch of kids, born circa 2008-2009, getting so excited over Skee-Ball! Some things never lose their appeal, I suppose! Raymond's is also very clean and well-kept. I can't speak for the bar or food, as all we had were a few pops and the cake we brought in, but everything else was wonderful. read more

We had our sons birthday party here yesterday, and it was by far the worst birthday party experience we've ever had. Upon arriving we were informed that we would be sharing a larger party room with another party. We told them that we didn't want that and ended up instead getting a private room that ended up being tiny and couldn't accommodate everyone so half of our guests had to sit outside the room. We had 15 children, plus parents. When the children started arriving at the scheduled start time, our party room still wasn't ready so there was nowhere to put gifts. There was absolutely no direction what so ever so nobody knew if they were supposed to get shoes or wait until our party host told us to do so. I finally just started getting the shoes for the children and had to find our party host to tell her to get the kids started on bowling 20 minutes after our scheduled start time. They did still allow us our full 2 hour party time, however when you have 15 5-6 year olds waiting to do something they don't keep their attention very well. The party host was clearly overwhelmed and management should highly consider scheduling more help for larger parties because she could not handle it all on her own. read more

Went to counter to pay for some bowling for my three grandsons and myself. I was going to pay for two games. Guy at the register said he recommended to pay for three in case they got busy. And he would refund the difference when we where done. So we bowled 2 games and the lane shut down. So I went to the counter and was told I only paid for two games.
