    Beautiful lanes
    Anthony M.

Monday starting at 5pm is Quartermania Day! This is my new favorite weekly holiday. For 50 cents you can rent bowling shoes now that's a deal but it gets better. Every game is 25 cents...what really? But wait there is more! How about 50 cent drafts on tap? Okay please stop that is way to much! Wait half price apps too? You mean every app on the menu is half price? Yes! Quartermania is alive and kicking! This is such an amazing deal. We arrived right at 5pm and had to wait a little for a lane. Many of the locals were rumbling about having to wait. There was a local school there and they had many of the lanes taken but they were close to being finished. There were a bunch of lanes open but there was an evening league coming in. So customers saw the open lanes (for the league) and wondered why they could not bowl on them. It always cracks me up when people complain and they are getting the most incredible deal ever. Have a little patience and good things will come. As we were waiting, my wife asked if there was going to be a waiting list and the owner said he was not going to start a list yet. That scared me a little but I told my wife to stick close to the front counter so he did not forget us. After a few minutes, he handed us all shoes and told us to take lane number 1. Sweet! We asked him if we needed to pay first and he told us we were on the honor system. How cool was that? So we took our shoes, grabbed a few balls and went to our lane. The lanes here are really nice...a little oily...which means they really take care of them. I needed a towel to wipe my ball off but I did not have one. Unfortunately I do not carry one in my back pocket. The scoring was really cool. I let my little one pick the theme and she choose "Fairytales" which was really fun for her. We had animated dragons, princes, fairies, etc poping up on our screen as we bowled with sound effects too. We were also able to set up bumpers for our little one, so every time it was her turn the rails would pop up for her. No gutters for a child equals happiness. Now if you do not like fairies, then you can choose another theme too. So as we were bowling we decided to grab some of those 50 cent drafts but found out that the bartender would not be there for another 5 minutes. So we waited and as soon as he arrived we ordered two. Nice and cold perfect for a bowling game. We also decided to jump in on the half price apps and our choice was hard because there were over 20 items to choose from. We finally went with the cheese sticks. My wife placed the order with bartender and a food runner delivered our piping hot cheese sticks to our lane within 10 minutes. The service was really fast and the cheese sticks were really good. I think we got them for $1.25. My wife wanted to hit more of the apps but I vetoed it because I knew we would hate ourself in the morning after all of that fried food. There was music here but it was jukebox driven. So if someone played music there was music playing, which was great when it was playing. I did miss it when it was not playing. I wish that I would have went up and played a few songs but that might have been dangerous because I find jukeboxes to be funny. I like to pick the strangest music and then watch everyones faces. Yeah I am that guy because I always love a good laugh. The bowling alley is really nice. I am so glad to see that this place is packed on a Monday night. I am sure that Quartermania has a lot to do with it. We will be back because we had a fun night as a family. Almost 3 hours of family fun and we spent less then 10 dollars on everything. Where else can you get bowling, drinks and food for less then that? Nowhere except here!!!

What can I say. Sure it needs a bit of fixing up but it's familiar, it's local, it's reasonable priced, decent food, it's a good time.

Nice bowling alley with friendly service. The best part was no wait on a rainy Saturday. Lanes and inside could use some renovation.

They've remodeled the interior, though there are still a few games I recall playing back in the day! My cousins kid opted for mini golf and had a great time, but this course hasn't changed at all and that's not a good thing. The design makes it easy for kids to knock their balls off the designated path, which our birthday star did several times. The water features weren't running and even the ponds were empty which ruins the view and pictures. After, we went inside for food and games. The kid was offered a red or blue slushie. He asked what flavor they were and was told they are both raspberry... he didn't like it. Raspberry is not typically any kids favorite flavor, they should expand on the options a bit. The pizza looked OK, it's about the quality you'd expect from this kind of place. They brought out a wheel and the kid got to spin for some free tickets, which he loved. They brought out a bowling pin as a keepsake for everyone to sign which is another nice touch. I'll give credit to the staff, the guy interacting with our group did a great job hyping up the kids. I didn't get to check out the other amenities such as bowling and go-carts so I can't speak on them, but I've bowled here before and enjoyed myself. In the fall they do a haunted house. I've never attended it but that's another thing to consider. Honestly if the mini golf course was in better condition I'd give them another star but the empty ponds with visible pipes was ugly and off-putting. That said this seems like a good way to entertain some kids for a day.

The entrance was difficult to find (several locked doors). As we entered through the door, the smell hit us immediately. The entire hallway, bar area, bowling area, and banquet area smelled like a musty and moldy basement. The entire place was extremely dated. Most of us had to wear our jackets the entire time because it was so cold down there. The bowling alley area is old, broken, and just plain horrible. $20/hr for a lane, not including shoe rental. You have to write down your own score, as there aren't screens to display anything. There weren't proper dots on the floor to help you figure out where to stand, so you kind of had to guess where to stand to prepare to throw your ball. The lanes did not appear to be properly maintained, as the bowling balls would take funny curves when thrown. Bowling balls would constantly get stuck and have to be retrieved by then gentleman who worked there. Most of the bowling ball returns would trap the ball (they were covered in duct tape and the wheel would stop spinning), and it would take the next ball crashing into it to get it unwedged. The balls themselves were in terrible condition, with large dents and chips in them. We have a 3 year old, and needed a lighter ball and bumpers. They did not have balls for smaller children, so it was near impossible for my son to push the ball down the lane himself. The bumpers were merely long pieces of soft Styrofoam that were set in the gutters, and not flush with the lane. This caused balls to become stuck in the gutter/bumpers and the ball needing to be retrieved. It really was a shame that much of our paid time was spent fixing constant problems. The soda guns were having problems, and our first couple of drinks were highly concentrated with syrup. My daughter ordered two waters, and both had unknown speckles in the bottom and in the ice. All-in-all, the few staff members were friendly enough, although not very engaging. I do not recommend this place, and will not return.
