They also mix ages in the classes to fit more kids in so kids who are almost 3 and kids who had just turned 4 were in the same classroom. They are at completely different learning levels and there is no way that the kids are getting what they need with kids 2, 3, and 4 in the same classroom. During after school and school off days, they let the teenagers and their own kids come in and run the school and do whatever they want, including being rude and disrespectful to kids and parents. Highly do not recommend.

I was receiving calls for almost 2 weeks straight about how bad she was being. The last day she was there I got from the owner Rick that I had to come pick her up because she kicked both owners. This was something she's never done. So I ask to see the video leading up to her kicking them. I heard every excuse why they couldn't show me it. Christine told me that her husband had the video up for me all day and that he had to leave early. I call the next week and talk to Rick and he tells me that he can't find the video (yet another excuse). Weird because his wife told me he had it up the week before. Then he tells me that it doesn't matter because I took my granddaughter out and she wasn't going there anymore. Seems really suspicious that they had all kinds of excuses why I couldn't see the video. I know something happened and that is why they are trying to cover it up. I've spoken to the police, DCF and the early learning coalition. Nobody can help me but if I can prevent this from happening to another child I'll be happy. They are so fake and they're bullies. That school should be shut down!

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.

My kids were both born in Florida, and our family has moved around quite a bit, so we've seen different school environments. That said, Windermere Prep has been much more than just a school for our family it has truly been an experience. The campus is beautiful. The classrooms and teachers are nurturing, and the school offers strong academic programs, including the IB curriculum. My children have also had opportunities to participate in international trips and other experiences that helped them grow beyond the classroom. At the same time, like any school, students still need to take responsibility for their own studying and effort. I've found several administrators and teachers including Mr. Villatico, Dr Fouche, Mr Muenker, Ms. Gemma very supportive and easy to work with. When concerns are raised, the school does respond and work toward solutions. We are proud to be Lakers.

The bullying there is over the top. The school does nothing . Have you ever had a teacher tell you not to try out . I wish they would say that to me . My advice to anyone is stay away .
