She told me there were no refunds but she was going to request to corporate. Since then i've texted, called and have gotten no answers. I've also called corporate and left voicemail and have never gotten a response either. Owning my own business, just out of integrity I would've at the very minimum have a response to keep the client long term. The day that I got there I should've known, I was taking the tour and overheard a conversation between the Director and a very upset client about treatment of their daughter by the teachers, the director's response wasnt very pleasant and I shouldve gone with my gut, but now I'm here trying to get at least a response from someone. Unfortunately, my experience during our observation left me disappointed. What was advertised did not match what I observed. Rather than meeting children where they are developmentally, there seemed to be an expectation that every child should immediately conform to the classroom routine, including group activities like circle time. I did not observe the child-centered, flexible, and individualized approach that is often associated with authentic Montessori education. I also found the communication about my child's experience to be discouraging. Instead of highlighting strengths, curiosity, or opportunities for growth, the feedback felt largely focused on what my child was not doing. Families of children who may need additional support, whether with communication, development, or transitions, should know that this did not feel like an inclusive environment equipped to help children succeed in different ways. If your school advertises individualized education and a Montessori philosophy, families should expect to see those values reflected in practice. Based on my experience, I felt the marketing was misleading and did not accurately represent the classroom environment we observed. I encourage parents to schedule an observation and carefully evaluate whether the school's philosophy aligns with what is actually happening in the classroom before making a decision.

Every school faces challenges, but what matters is finding solutions and communicating effectively--two things this school fails to do. I advise any parent considering enrolling their children here to be cautious. You'll encounter excuses and empty promises, as the owners seem to care only about money. Ask yourself, "Why are google reviews disabled?" My daughter attended this school for three years, but last year was the most disappointing. This is not a genuine Montessori environment. The owners appear to prioritize profit over providing quality instruction, valuable extracurricular activities, and clear, organized communication. In our experience, they often say one thing and do another, so it's crucial to hold them accountable for their promises. At the start of last year, they hired a new teacher without informing us. This teacher failed to properly notify me when my daughter was sick during class, claiming a birthday party in the classroom was the reason. I ended up moving her to a different class, but near the end of the year, the main teacher in that class was let go, and an assistant either left for vacation or quit entirely. For a full day, a classroom of 23 kids was left under the supervision of just one assistant, and communication about this situation was delayed. Based on our experience, I do not recommend enrolling children in this school for grades 1-3.

The one she was attending was good... but it's amazing what actually a big difference between good and great is. I am glad we made the switch. It was easy too. This school feels more like family...you feel comfortable. You won't feel uneasy asking any question if you need to. Or with anything. They check ids and who is on the actually pick up list if you need to have someone pick up. No one can just wander in the building. They also provide lunches here so she actually eats her lunch and enjoys eating what everyone else is eating (healthy!). She not comparing or not wanting her food if someone else has something different. During this pandemic, they put in place over the top procedures.. to make sure the kids that needed the care during this time were safe and it has been!! They pay attention to all the small things! Communication is excellent. I know what she learns every week, how she is doing, whats happening at the school, etc. The teachers and the staff are all wonderful. Our daughter loves it here. I would drive an extra distance to bring her here. I could go on about this place. It's worth the wait (or the transfer, like we did) if there is a waiting list!! Couldn't be happier.

One of my friends had an F in math before she went to Walden that they helped her bring up to a B. I am leaving a 3 star review because I had a very mixed experience at Walden, but I recognize that it's a great environment for some students. I went to Walden just a few weeks after being discharged from a therapeutic boarding school in Utah. It was a very rough transition for me, and Walden both helped and hurt. The other students were great, and the small size was much better for an autistic kid than a traditional public school. However, the teachers and administration were not very understanding. I know that they can only do so much to help an emotionally struggling teen, but they could have practiced more of what they taught: empathy. I had issues with showing off, but instead of talking to me about it and correcting me in the moment, administration talked to my parents about expelling me. It would have been different if they'd corrected me and I hadn't changed, but they didn't even try to give me feedback. Academics were decent. Great for kids who need a personalized curriculum. But I noticed that when I transferred to virtual public school, I was learning things that I should have learned in Algebra 1 in Algebra 2. They make it very hard to go to a school with a different curriculum, and that leads to some kids falling behind. They claimed to have extracurriculars that they didn't have. When I was there, they just had a dance class with a very unempathetic and ableist teacher. I was on a med that gave me significant side effects, including heatstroke susceptibility. Towards the end of the school year, we were doing a very physical dance outside, and I noticed symptoms of heat illness. When I asked the dance teacher to take a break, she refused because it was a partner dance and I couldn't leave my partner. She then said that she was proud of me for doing things even when I got hot, despite me saying many times that what she was making me do was a health hazard. I arrived at home that day and crashed on my bed, sleeping for about 2 hours. I now know that what I was experiencing was heat exhaustion. Easily preventable if the dance teacher had allowed me a break. All in all, this school has its pros and cons. Great social environment and personalized academics, but lack of understanding of students who struggle medically and emotionally. Some kids excel at Walden, others don't. If considering this school, make sure your kid is the type to excel there.
