This school is very disorganized and not professional at all. They never provide information or documents in a timely manner. They are too expensive for what the classrooms and facility look like. The classrooms look like the bare minimum effortqas made, the children are not even allowed to write in the books like workbooks, that should be included in tuition. You also have to pay for other fees like graduation and testing separately. Not to mention the many days off and early dismissals. So what is included in tuition? They are very rude, especially when you question them or address concerns. Save yourself the headache. read more

I wish there was an option to not give this school any stars at all. My daughter attended this school from kindergarten to 2nd grade and I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone. The director Ms.Cristina is a very nasty and rude individual and the curriculum is not up to date. They are not responsible with your children. My daughter was not feeling well one day and they asked my 7 year old daughter who she would like to pick her up and they called her grandmother and had her grandmother come pick her up and I was never notified that my child was released from school. They held a parent teacher conference with my child, another problem student and that child's parent and again never notified me. My daughter had an issue with another child in aftercare I was again never notified and they isolated my child in a room alone unattended until the problem child was picked up and THEN allowed my child back into aftercare once the problem children left. While my child was in aftercare she never received help with her homework, my daughter came home every single day with all her homework wrong. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST ANYONE TO ENROLL THEIR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL. read more

This is the sister school to Growing Together Academy, which is a daycare and pre-school. I had transferred my daughter from Tampa here to Orlando, and enrolled her at Growing Together. At the beginning, I was very happy with the way the school and the administration was run. The teacher was amazing. After about 6 months, the teacher my daughter had was forced to resign to pursue other opportunities in teaching. They brought in a teacher that would wear shirts as small as her own students, was very in-articulate and spoke as though she herself needed to return to school for Speech. Needless to say, she lasted maybe a month. By then, there was only about 2 weeks left of school, and so the assistant was the one teaching, and she was great as well. Now, they offered to fill out an application for us for the Step Up for students scholarship, and so I was very excited. Well, that was their means to get parents to HAVE to pick the sister school Sunset Christian Prepatory. Meaning, they would fill out the application, and once approved, enroll you as though you are attending their school. Not ONCE did I fill out any registration information, or fill out an application that officially said my daughter would attend their school. After reviewing the school and speaking to teachers that have worked there, as well as some who work at the sister school, I was convinced it wasn't the place for my 5 year old to go. The curriculum is not a set one, they do not test students to see their progression, as public schools are required to do throughout the school year. The turn-over rate for the teachers is horrendous. Not once has a teacher lasted a whole year. The amount of Kindergarten students that graduated last year was 8. That goes to tell you a lot. I wouldn't recommend this school if it was the last school I could send my daughter to. I would rather home-school her. The teachers, who are certified, speak very little to no English. They have gotten their degree in foreign countries, which study a very different method of teaching. Anyway, when I called the scholarship place so that I could ask about how I could change the scholarship to a transportation scholarship so that I could put my daughter in an A graded public school, they told me the school had already enrolled my daughter in their school, and there was nothing they could do. How could that be? I never even filled out an application! I contacted the director and her explanation was since they filled out the scholarship application, they ASSUMED my daughter would be attending their school. For that, I would've filled it out myself and been able to make an executive decision as to where my daughter would attend Elementary School. Beyond disgusted with the lack of professionalism for BOTH schools, and I would never recommend this school to anyone! Do your research before making a decision as to your child's future. If their own staff doesn't have their kids in the school, what makes you think you should send yours there? This speaks volumes, and the teachers themselves have personally told me NOT to put my child in this school. Don't make the same mistake as me. read more
