The school is very inclusive and is more than willing to go above and beyond for their students. They work very hard to find teachers that will fit the children's needs and ensure that the kids come to school and love every minute of it. From the academic teachers to the specials teachers, they are all awesome! I absolutely adore the staff and their positivity at all times. I also enjoy that they allow all the grade levels (kindergarten to 12th grade) to interact with each other. The kids here at every single grade level are so beyond polite! And if a problem ever arises, the staff and school does a wonderful job at communicating them in a timely manner. Aside from academics, they have so many opportunities to learn robotics, architecture, drama, music, sports, dance, art, music, and even cooking! They have wonderful after school activities for students to explore their interest. My sister is very cultured and well rounded thanks to WPS. I am so proud and honored to be apart of the WPS family. The tuition is not cheap I have to admit but the way they shape your child's mind and character is just amazing! I can't wait to have a kid of my own so I can allow them to go to school here.

My kids were both born in Florida, and our family has moved around quite a bit, so we've seen different school environments. That said, Windermere Prep has been much more than just a school for our family it has truly been an experience. The campus is beautiful. The classrooms and teachers are nurturing, and the school offers strong academic programs, including the IB curriculum. My children have also had opportunities to participate in international trips and other experiences that helped them grow beyond the classroom. At the same time, like any school, students still need to take responsibility for their own studying and effort. I've found several administrators and teachers including Mr. Villatico, Dr Fouche, Mr Muenker, Ms. Gemma very supportive and easy to work with. When concerns are raised, the school does respond and work toward solutions. We are proud to be Lakers.

My kids are excelling academically and emotionally, all thanks to the attention paid to their personal growth and development. Park Maitland feels like a warm hug coupled with academic rigor. Children are allowed to become true individuals, exploring their passions while supported by the loving faculty and staff. I remember feeling the same way - I reaped the benefits of an exceptional education while feeling safe to try new things and be myself 30 + years ago! It's been a joy watching my kids blossom and soar. The campus is adorable and they have special traditions for each grade that they look forward to each year, including a yearly theatrical production. As an aside, they have kept our children safe during the pandemic, with zero quarantines required due to their strict mask policy. I highly recommend Park Maitland and urge any interested families to schedule an interview!

After taking the rest of the year to reflect and monitor the progress and improvements, I am happy to write a new review. The school has been in what seems to be a transitionary phase with the principle and other school leaders. In the beginning of the year, I had no confidence that the ship was heading in the right direction. Since October, the principle and rest of the staff have really proven that this is the A school that it is rated. Mr. Ballone had personally taken an interest in our child after our concerns in the beginning of the year and really showed integrity and compassion for what he is doing. Our daughter was in the first grade, and we have nothing but great things to say about her teacher, and the others that we have encountered. While we wish we had taken advantage more, I love the policy that you are allowed to go and eat lunch with your children. This is a neat thing to do. The school and parents are all very active in the community. We have weighed the options of private school and have elected to keep our daughter here, really feeling that it is a great place for her.

Five stars for this five star school!…read more This past week was the first week of classes for kids in Orange County, FL, and I have to say that so far I am impressed with my daughter's new school. It is a A grade, five star school (there's posters EVERYWHERE telling you so) and the teachers and staff are all really great so far. The Good: Caring Teachers and Staff: Even before we registered, the staff here went above and beyond to make my daughter's transfer here a smooth transition. There were a few speedbumps, including a rather unique school records issue, but we got it all worked out and they were able to get my daughter registered and in a classroom just in time. My daughter's teacher is a very nice lady who is a very strong communicator, and caters to my daughter's specific needs. She even lets her read to the class! Easy to navigate: One of my biggest issues with my daughter's old school was that the hallways were like a labyrinth and the place was pretty hard to get around. Hunter's Creek elementary is ridiculously easy to get around, and pluss it's all outside. Yay for sunshine! The Bad: N/a Of course the school year just started, and it takes more than a week to fully appreciate a new school. But our experience so far has been great, and in my book first impressions count for a lot! Overall 10/10= Hunter's Creek Happiness

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.
