Such an awesome place! I'm gonna keep it short and brief with this review. Pros: incredibly delicious cakes that aren't too sweet, quality ingredients, you won't find another bakery of this kind in NL, very Japanese/ Taiwanese style, coffee tea, matcha & azuki cake, cozy decor, friendly service, great spot to do work and enjoy a nice piece of cake, good selections of tea, located near Markthal, homemade cakes Cons: I finish the cake in less than 5 seconds, can't stop eating the cakes... After having 3 I had to force myself to stop ordering more. Wish there were more places like this. I almost felt like I was back in Japan or Taiwan.

Soft cakes with real cream and a great range of flavours :) Cutsey feel with cartoony/japanesey music (think totoro etc.) Had two slices and a coffee. Ceci - Lightly liquored cream with a dusting of cocoa, like tiramisu without the coffee Coffee - Coffee sponge with caramel cream Preferred ceci out of the two, but will be back to try more! Espresso not very strong, but ok and soya milk available and good foaming.

Perfect Asian cakes! Lovely city forest! Regularly they will have new tastes coming out. Don't miss the opportunity to try them out.

Staff are lovely! Free wifi is a plus. I had the Baileys roll (I cannot remember the actual name of it) and hot chocolate. Would highly recommend both!

Delicious Japanese Swiss rolls served with a good selection of coffee and tea, in a warm Chinese-owned but modern and inviting coffee house. The atmosphere is laid back with mostly Chinese families and university students meeting or working. The coffee is quite decent with several options you won't find in regular coffee shops, like the matcha flavor. Take your pick on the handwritten menu. The cakes are very good with a varied selection of rolls and cheesecakes. Every time I go there, there will be a new selection of cakes to choose from. If I had to give a downside to Round&Round it would be the price. It's not necessarily more expensive than other coffee shops but you'll never settle for just one cake as the taste will push you to try another flavor. All in all I would highly recommend Round & Round to anyone with a craving for coffee and sweets.

A zen cafe a stones throw from the Markthal where you can have a cup of coffee and Asian/ Japanese style cakes. Cute interior, relaxed atmosphere. A must visit.

First of all, I am a big cupcakes fan. Ten to Three Bakery may not be the best cupcakery in the…read moreworld, BUT they may be the best one in Rotterdam. I came from Los Angeles, where you can find some of the best cupcakes. My favorite specifically is Red Velvet cupcakes, or anything with cream cheese icing. Since I moved to Rotterdam, I have been in a quest to find a decent cupcakes place. I have tried the cupcakes from Dudok and Alice in Cakeland. And to be honest, they were not good at all compared to all the cupcakes I've had. I bake much better cupcakes myself. Nothing against butter cream, they should not be called Red Velvet or Carrot cupcakes unless they have real cream cheese icing. Butter cream is cheap and not worth the calories. Ten to Three Bakery is the first place I found that actually serve cream cheese icing on their cupcakes. The cupcakes taste good. The size is standard cupcake size (they also have mini cupcakes available). The presentation is good. The interior of the cafe is pleasant, spacious, and clean. The staffs are friendly in general. English menu is also available. Recommendations: - Red Velvet Cupcakes - Tea with 2 scones combo (it comes with jam and mascarpone cheese spread). The scones are quite different that the scones I'm used to. They're a bit more softer than a normal scone, but a bit more dense than regular bread.

The frosting was pretty buttery and the cupcakes did not have a fresh-baked taste - it was more like a few days old taste. I've without a doubt had way better cupcakes in the NL.

And I bake all the time, something extremely hazardous to my diet haha ...but thats also why I'm extremely critical of baked goods. Having tried several bakeries in The Netherlands I've come to the conclusion that it's extremely rare to find good cupcakes. They are either stale or the icing isn't right or just plain ol' BLAH! But that wasn't the case at VAN NESS I've been trying to eat their cupcakes for a while now. They get sold out rather quickly so one has to go sometime before 3-4pm if you want to have all the flavors. So we walked into this tiny store full of excitement and tried four different flavors of cupcakes (chocolate lava, red velvet, pistachio and chocolate vanilla) and boy o' boy was I pleasantly surprised, they were EPICALLY delicious. They were moist and full of flavor and honestly the best I've had in this country for sure! I totally understand why they are sold out before the store closes and I was so impressed to taste every flavor and their icing was divine. So yes go there, go there tomorrow! It's amazing I can't wait to try out all the flavors! Eeeeeeeee *happydance* Ps: get a free cupcake if you check in with YELP!
