From the same owners as the popular Korean eatery Hanjan, Round 2 is the newest hotspot on Whyte Ave. While Hanjan is more of a restaurant/cafe, Round 2 is definitely a more of a bar/club.
We arrived at about 7pm on a Saturday. We were the first and only customers until about 10pm. We didn't mind and enjoyed having the place to ourselves. We ordered way too much food for 2 people including bulgogi, cheese ddukbokki (my favorite!) and a lot of soju. While their menu is smaller than Hanjans, the quality is the same. Their bulgogi has to be the best in the city.
Round 2 is a bit difficult to find as it is in a basement with no outdoor signs. You will find a glowing blue light beside Hudson's, and that's your entrance.
This is definitely a fun place to be on the weekend. It had all of the stops including great food, great drinks, a dance floor and even karaokee booths. I would recommend coming here for drinks and a bite to eat but I wouldn't come here just for the food as this is definitely a party spot.
I should also mention that the service we had was incredible! Aside from the bar staff, there seemed to be one guy who was running the show for table service. He was super friendly and attentive. He even made sure that my friend and I had a DD to drive us home. Considering how busy he was, I'm glad that he took the responsibility to make sure that we were getting home safe.
I'm looking forward to coming back here during the summer to try their infamous watermelon soju bowl! read more
