When he came to the house, he was able to personally check the situation right away that afternoon and has given us his input, in which he was really very helpful to our situation. Since the damage affected the second floor as well as the first floor, We also decided to do the renovations for the 2nd floor bathroom/living room as well as the entire kitchen on the first floor including 1st floor main living room space. The process from getting rid of the damaged areas, demolition and to the renovation were consistent, efficient and done with quality work in mind. His staff/workers were very respectful, friendly and really knowledgeable on their craft. Special mention to Steve, the project manager! And to Matt and Jason , plus the painter and the tiler that are so meticulous with their work! And the good thing to point out is that Michael will work with your budget, your design ideas and input and will also give you suggestions/pros/cons that will help you decide on design plan, materials and products to be used on your project. The ability to have that kind of communication between you and the contractor is important to make the project a success. It was definitely a big project on the house but it's all worth it. The house looks much spacious, clean and modern. I would definitely 100 percent recommend this company.

The quote was around the middle of the ones I saw, and I got a good vibe from Michael, so I decided to go with them. I'm incredibly happy with the work they did - they matched the existing features (trim, door style etc) of the house perfectly. They had good ideas and brought up things to consider, and additional costs for any changes along the way were reasonable. The guys who worked at my house were incredibly friendly and polite. The work turned out amazing - better than I had even hoped. Can't recommend them enough and will definitely go back to them for any similar work in the future.

I wish I could give 6 stars, because Sam's Construction and Renovation is in a class by itself! I…read morehired Sam and his team to renovate my master bedroom suite. The scope of the project was a planned remodeling of my master bedroom and master retreat which included new flooring throughout, new lighting fixtures, painting, and installation of a new electric linear fireplace. I was impressed by Sam on our initial phone communications- he was extremely professional and offered many suggestions that we ultimately included in the final project. After we signed the contract, he started work on the exact day that he had promised, and he and his team worked every day until it was completed. They actually finished a bit earlier than stated on the contract! Each of Sam's workers were very respectful of my property, and always left the work area very clean. Throughout the process, Sam showed a particular attention to detail that I truly appreciated. He has a good eye for color, and helped me to pick out colors for my walls, flooring and fireplace tile that really complement each other. Sam and his team constructed a wall length framing for the fireplace that truly exceeded my expectations. The finished product is simply breathtaking! Sam and his team will be returning after the holidays for the 2nd phase of the project, which will transform the master retreat into a custom designed walk in closet. I am certainly looking forward to working with Sam again!

We DO NOT recommend Justin Colangelo of C&G Contracting Services New Providence NJ. Also knowns as…read moreC&G Builders of New Providence NJ as he continues to change his name and contracting websites, fraudulently adding forced/fake 5 star reviews, to hide from his "criminal" past. Any NJ home owners considering Justin Colangelo must read my true story from 2018-2019. Justin was hired because our new home needed a basement upgrade. As first time home owners, Justin positioned himself as a nice, family guy, fair priced, general contractor. Lies. This was a con that we found out many months later was a huge costly mistake worth tens of thousands. After many errors, issues, miscommunication, misguided us, ambiguous hard to read contracts (after the work went wrong), and his worthless 3 year warranty, we had to stop the multiple unfinished projects he so strategically interwoven that we foolishly paid for. Despite telling him we stopped due to ongoing water that he couldn't resolve civilly, he quit on us without resolving work that he originally said he would finalize for us! There are a dozen big/small important unfinished tasks on paid projects that still exist including a faulty french drain to breaking my heating vent when they did ceiling work. We pleaded with him in January four times via email to finish the work, compensate for work that wasn't ever done but he refused to resolve this like a professional, like a crook. To elaborate, we barely started a basement renovation in Feb 2018 but found a leak in basement. He positioned himself to fix it all and water proof to salvage the crack in the home during a challenging series of events for our family. However, we found later that he grossly over charged us for low quality lateral french drain despite contracting fo ra perimeter drain system, poor wood framing, screwing into heating vents, unfinished rough electric, and a patch work job inside, exterior water proofing mishaps with piping and back up floods, a driveway that still has a 35 foot cracking, many small cracks and more. We had 3rd parties analyze his work and told us most were faulty and we were grossly over charged! Each phase of the home basement, kitchen upgrade, driveway and water proofing jobs all experienced issues: cracks, chips, errors, etc that many still remain unfixed!!! Including a kitchen upgrade that he scratched my new hard wood floors moving a fridge, installed the wrong crown molding, too. Whenever we challenged the quality of work he became very angry and blamed me talking his way through b.s for many months. From one home owner to another, Justin Colangelo of C&G Contractors of New Providence NJ is a con artist. A crook with a past, and avoid the issues with him and find someone else. It is very important that innocent home owners know the low quality, high cost from Justin Colangelo. For the full story, pix & video of the unfinished work, errors, read the contracts and over charging for low quality work, contact me at cefblau at yahoo.com to discus confidentially.
