Been to a few Rotolo's but not this one. Didn't realize this was right next door to cooperate office. Went with the family at 11 right when the doors opened. The place is very spacious and clean. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. She informed us about the lunch special which is different every day. We got the KREWE Calzone and lunch special which was spaghetti and meatballs. The food took some time, but they did have a big order of pizzas. Plus we were not in a hurry so it really wasn't a big deal. I definitely recommend this spot! read more

Went to the millerville location in Baton Rouge, was greeted and told to sit anywhere. The waitress brought menus and placed our order and she returned shortly with our drinks. Sat , and waited for 30 . Ask about the order, she replied that it was somewhere in the back . And another 10 minutes later still no food!!! So decided to leave . I had the pleasure of trying the baked wings. I also ordered a meat feast with mushrooms. The pizza was good pizza. The wings kinda threw me for a loop this is how they were pictured right out of the box and they just didn't look appealing. The sauce is also not as thick. I've been to Rotolo's a number of times, and most of the time, they are a 5-star spot, but occasionally, it's a 2 or 3 star experience, which is why I landed on 4. Priced are reasonable, service is relatively fast, and when they are on their game, the calzones are fantastic! Super cheesy, fresh tasting ingredients, and warm and fluffy. Unfortunately, inconsistency sometimes leads to the calzones being dry and tough, which is such a buzz kill. If you're on this side of town, rotolo's Millerville is one of the better pizza/calzone spots you'll find! read more

My water had an oily film on top and I didn't drink it. The pizza wasn't cooked all the way my and pepperoni and Italian sausage were lukewarm.. We grew up eating Rotolo's and move away for some time. We are only in town to see family and we're sad to see this place fall off.. please don't come here... read more

This was a new place for us to try. We were driving into town from Fayetteville, AR and decided to bring pizza to my grandmother for dinner. I loved the menu options and descriptions. We ordered a Krewe the delux and a small gfree boudin. It was all good, the delux had tons of veggies and meat . The veggies could have been cooked more but that is also more of a personal preference. We were all so hungry I missed getting a pic.... Oops! This location is convenient to I-12 (but south of I-12 as opposed to the north) and also near Forest Park---we were rained out in our tennis outing recently and a few of us decided to get some adult beverages and chose Rotolos---beer was cold and decent selection so no complaints can be had, right? Also we ordered a meat lovers pizza and it was promptly served ---server was professional and helpful with the selection of beer and pizza so all was a good time. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not stay open later but this is in the suburbs and this location closes no earlier than most other restaurants in this area of the suburbs but since I tend towards the late side that means it closes to early for me---but since this personal preference should not knock off a star, I have reconsidered and rated it 5 stars! read more

I would say the thing I crave most late at night is pizza. Unfortunately, Rotolo's isn't open in the early morning hours when I am watching Food Network. However each time I visit, I have a great meal and leave with my pizza craving satisfied! [Masks are required when not seated at your table/booth]. This particular Rotolo's is located conveniently off I-10 on Millerville Rd. If you need to do some shopping at the nearby Target, Lowes or Best Buy, top off your trip with a meal at Rotolo's. Or treat yourself to a discount calzone dinner after a long Wednesday at work on what my mom and I call "Cheap Calzone Night". I am a creature of habit when it comes to flavors, so my go to is a Krewe pizza or calzone. I love all of the savory flavors from the meats combined with the slightly sweet and fresh flavor from the feta cheese. I can and have eaten a whole calzone in a sitting, but leftovers taste just as great the next day. If you have vegetarian/vegan friends/family members, Rotolo's has many options to choose from. This location has nice, clean bathrooms, but are not gender neutral. Additionally, this location offers some outdoor seating, however it is limited. Living in Texas, I haven't visited this location in a while, but it was a must go on my last trip home. The space was recently renovated which creates a more intimate setting to eat with family, but I missed the SEC football helmets. My reason for giving only 4/5 stars is that my mom shared a story of a previous visit where a plate of spaghetti had been spilled on her & my cousin. Additionally, some of the staff, while masked, did not have their noses covered, which made me a little nervous. read more

This was my first visit to this location and second time ever at a Rotolos. Uhhhh why have I been sleeping on this place?!?! This calzone was SO good, everything about it was great but that marina sauce took it to a whole other level is was so good. My friend and I were able to bring our dogs with us to sit outside which was awesome because we just left the dog park. We also got the cookie desert which we forgot to take a picture of but it was also fantastic. I will definitely be back and likely frequent this place. read more

First time ordering here I tried the CYO 1/2 pizza. They end up making the entire pizza one way vs half and half that I ordered. The half they made was Philly cheese steak, bacon and spinach. There was a decent amount of toppings on the pizza. The steak didn't really have much flavor and it's thinly sliced. Their pizza sauce is super sweet. I'm more of a savory sauce person so I was not a fan. It was just ok. read more

I will admit that the food was much better than I remember. In the past the quality didn't appear to match the cost, but that seems much different. The "Creole It" LTO menu is really neat! Hopefully I will have an opportunity to go back and try it before it goes away. This time my daughter and I shared some things. The spinach and artichoke dip was really tasty and the garlic bread was a delicious, house-made vessel. It had been a while since I've had spinach and artichoke dip and this did not disappoint. We then shared a cheese calzone (extra cheese!) and spaghetti and meatballs. The red sauce with the spaghetti was flavorful and I like the sweetness in the sauce. The meatballs were tasty. I feel like a third one would have been a better balance with the amount of pasta but otherwise I would order it again if craving spaghetti and meatballs. The calzone was much better than I remember it to be. The crust was light, buttery and really fresh. I appreciated the salty notes of the feta and although we ordered extra mozzarella, it did not seem like any more than normal (so perhaps they should consider that otherwise it would have been too much crust and not enough filling). The problem I had in the past was that I felt like the calzones were a bit lacking in the filling. That was not the case this time. Service was not bad but it was a bit lackluster and they were not very busy. I'm glad to add Rotolos back to my rotation! read more

Quality compared to other Rotolo's locations consistently not great. Im a big fan of Rotolo's in general. I get same calzones no matter the location I go to. Every time I've gone to the Millerville location the calzones are smaller and smaller every time and always under cooked. Better off going to Prairieville location to get better consistency. read more

So first time dining in at this location. It wasn't very busy, so thought yayyyy! I immediately showed our waitress the coupon I had, which she did not appear thrilled about. For drinks we just wanted water with lemons, as it was right after the parade and we were thirsty! Our waitress seemed annoyed with us the minute we sat down. Was it the coupon? The water? The baby that was with us? I dunno. We had to ask twice for the lemons for our water. We ordered the artichoke dip, which was fabulous!! The bread is simply delicious, will def come back for that! We had a few questions about the menu, our waitress was very short with us. Did I offend her somehow?? She brought over some markers and a dry erase board for the 18mos old to play with...I didn't think she was being loud... but needless to say, we did not give markers to the baby for long. We gave our order, 2 small pizzas,calzone and kids pizza along with 2 salads. For whatever reason our waitress passed us off to someone else. At this point we've obviously annoyed her and I have no idea why. She said she was going on break but we saw her still going to tables and working. Ok. We get our food, no salads which we were told would come out before the pizza. The new waiter seemed like he had not been advised and looked panicked when we mentioned it. He brought back one salad, told him there was another and he promptly brought that. He was great! We hadn't offended or annoyed him I guess. The food here is very yummy, the crust is by far my fave part! We'll continue to order when we want pizza but I'm not sure we'll actually dine in at this location. Does not meet expectations. The last 4-5 times we have gotten Rotolo's, we have been so disappointed. We LOVE The Crewe pizza and get it every time! It's the only pizza my kids like. However, lately it's just a major let down. To start, they tell me it's a 25-30 min wait but when I get the pizza home (4 min away) it's cold. The pizza never has enough bacon or feta on it and if you want to add extra, it's another $4+ for bacon and $2+ for feta. This time, the pizza looked like I ordered half crewe pizza and have pepperoni. All of the bacon and feta was on one side. (Of course my kids grab the loaded side first, which is probably why I'm so annoyed and writing this review.... I got stuck with the pepperoni side) I am done ordering from the Millerville location. We will try another location next time and hope for a better turn out... I really hope it's not a complete breakup with Rotolo's. read more

Had their meat calzone this past Thursday. It had good flavor and was only around $5. Wednesday $5 calzone night is a good and inexpensive idea for date night with just your spouse or also with another couple. They have TVs you can watch around the tables. I'm only giving this one star because my son liked the calzone. But I'm here to tell you about what I had, I had the lasagna and garlic knots. There was almost no sauce whatsoever on this lasagna The lasagna was noodles lots and lots of cheese, bad cheese at that and this low quality Italian sausage. I was so disappointed. I should have gone with my instinct and just made lasagna myself. You want good lasagna let me know I'll give you some good lasagna this, this isn't good. And I haven't been to this place in a few years not after I saw them trying to sell water to people who had to leave their homes during the flood of 2016. I decided to stop here for lunch today. Well, I am so glad I did! My server, Makayla was a doll. She's upbeat, always smiling and knew the menu well! I wasn't quite sure of what to get. Then Makayla shared with me, that on Wednesdays their $9.50 calzones are only $5.99. I checked out the entire menu and decided to go with a calzone. I ordered the Chicken Florentine calzone. And wow, it was INCREDIBLE! I've had calzones from other places, but never one like this. The chicken was juicy, seasoned and shredded. The spinach and artichoke were fresh and blended perfectly with the savory sauce. The marinara sauce on the side, smells and taste like an Italian grandmothers slow cooked sauce that's been simmering all day. Delish! I can say I will NEVER get a calzone anywhere else from now on. Also, I discovered they have Happy Hour Monday-Friday 3-6pm. Bogo drinks and 1/2 price apps & cheese sticks! I can't wait to come back for that. I echo the previous review that this location isn't that great. Two bad experiences in a row, so thought I would caution others - skip this Rotolos and go to the Walker location instead. It takes forever to get waited on here and the servers never check back to see if you need a refill or anything else. Now, the food. The dough didn't quite rise for the entire crust, why would you serve me the pizza? Also, the toppings aren't evenly distributed and it was overcooked. It's just not right when an $8 pizza from Sam's Club is better than the $20 gourmet pizza. Bummer, guess we're done with this location. read more

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I was blessed to grow up between Chicago (deep dish) and the Northeast (New York and New Haven's distinct and delicious pies), but I've also spent a considerable amount of time in SE Louisiana. Louisiana knows food in so many ways, but pizza remains a foreign thing here. I was excited to try Rotolo's after driving by so many times over the years, thinking a small chain would greatly surpass national chains in taste and quality (despite the soft spot in my heart for Pizza Hut's stuffed crust) - Boy, was I wrong. I ordered a large, thin crust pepperoni pizza, add olive salad. With Fleur de Lis pizza gone from Government, this is one of the only options I have for green olives on my pizza. I was enthused at the thought of fresh dough, assuming all ingredients would be in the same vein. Wrong again. The thin crust was barely cooked, nay, warmed through. The sauce tasted identical to Contadina's Pizza Squeeze. The cheese was barely melted and the pepperoni looked like they had been added after the pizza came out of the oven... Did it come out of an oven? Up for debate. Thoroughly disappointed in this pizza. I've eaten a lot of pizza and even the worst pizzas I've eaten up north blow Rotolo's out of the water in taste and quality. Don't waste your money on their pizza.
