They were able to make pretty quick appointment to drain our tanks which was due after 5 years. The guys that came out were super helpful, professional, gave us advice on maintenance, saw an easy plumbing repair we needed, and which they explained. They didn't try to up sell on expensive repairs to our tanks or drain field and showed us why things looked to be functioning normally, except for a minor repair we needed at the outlet to prevent future issues, which was some beginnings of small invading roots around the outlet pipe, not yet blocking anything. We called our regular plumber who came out, agreed with Roto-Rooter and fixed the problem for $200. Not cheap at $1400 to drain our heavily used tank, which was the standard charge for this service for same size tank that we have. Have to maintain your septic system every few years, and it costs money. We don't have to pay for sewer costs like other city residents do, so that's the trade off. Too bad these are the only contractors locally but I understand it is due to regulations around the disposal, transportation and other associated costs a company must incur. I wonder if it's because they are the only ones who are servicing our area, and charge what they want. Prices won't change unless there is competition. read more

Junior at Roto-Rooter showed up promptly and discovered our problem was a full septic tank. He, his supervisor & the manager of our mobile home park found the septic tank rather quickly, in the rain. Junior ordered the pump truck & returned with the truck this morning. He was very courteous and polite and did a wonderful job of backfilling the holes dug to locate the tank. I was very impressed!! read more

Called around 8:30am, described plugged drain problem, paid BEFORE service (I normally only pay after a job completion), Junior arrived around 1pm, checked out the house plumbing, snaked the washing machine drain and the guest bath drain, all plumbing AOK now, Junior is very personable and describes what and why he is doing what he is doing to correct our problem, would call Roto Rooter again for a plumbing problem. read more

I have a plugged shower drain because of the age and design of the shower outlet pipe and even though the serviceman that came out was unable to help us he showed us where the problem was and that the next step would be to get a plumber out. The reason for this review,is that the serviceman (Junior) was about as nice and knowledgeable as you could hope for. Nobody likes having to pay repair costs but it is service people like Junior that help comfort homeowners. read more

Called Roto-Rooter because our septic tank needed pumping the lid for the tank was visible in the yard. Paid up front $875. They came out two days later spent about 15 minutes and came in and told us they had pumped the tank. I went on vacation for two weeks and came back and the lid to the septic tank was not reinstalled. After having another backup and water coming out of the pipes all over the hardwood floor I remove the cover on the septic tank to find the tank completely full? The technician had only pumped about 6 in of 1,000 gallon tank. I called Roto-Rooter and told them that they did not pump out the whole tank and the technician told me that he had emptied the tank which was untrue he also told me the due to the heavy rains the tank could fill up completely in 2 weeks. Truth to the matter the tank was never pumped! Always only pumped enough to where they thought the plumbing would flow again! Scandalous business practices! If we wouldn't have checked the tank we would have kept trying to unclog the pipes when it was just they never pump the tank! What they did was try to pump enough out of the tank so the plumbing would flow again but they didn't and due to them not putting the lid back on upon checking realize trying to get one over on us. I am going to notify the attorney general and the better Business bureau and will never use this scandalous company again! $850 for nothing complete fraud beware! read more
