Strolled the Farmer's Market after a long break. It was great to see Roti Roll's still around and consistent as ever they are situated between the coffee truck and the sourdough truck in their flashy green banner tent. Roti Rolls has become such a market staple over the years. I ordered the Mother Clucker and it was delicious as ever. I was weary since the cheese wasn't as melts as usually, but the flavor was still on point. The staff prepped and delivered within minutes. I'm used to them being overwhelmingly busy. I was surprised they weren't this time. Thankfully, it tasted as good as always so please support them as I want this staple to stay! Notes for consuming, it gets JUICY! Always pick up extra napkins and hold carefully so you don't spill in yourself which I manage to do every time. Also try the creole mac n cheese! It was devilishly creamy and cheesy. It will not disappoint. Despite being a hot muggy day Roti Rolls delivered quality product and was the perfect meal to enjoy in the grass and listen to the live music. read more

They came to our job and served food all day. So I am representing at least 80 people when I say this. Their food is very very good. I have to start with the vegetables. Mom would have loved that. Lol. But I've never had Curry flavored vegetables so good. The broccoli was perfectly cooked after 4 hours of service. Everyone who ordered was very pleased with the food. I am so sorry I forgot the names of the wraps I had. But they are no bad raps in this truck. You can not lose. I find it hard find food trucks when I'm looking for them. When I go to Yelp or their website it never tells me the location they are at at the time I am looking. I can't even find the scheduling. I really wish they would work on that. Sometimes instead of going out the restaurants I would just like to take my kids to food trucks and go sit in the car or on the park and just talk. I think that's the coolest parts of food trucks. COVID-19 Update: We ordered our Easter 2020 dinner from Roti Rolls due to the stay-at-home order. For $70, we had Korean style ham, sweet and spicy lima beans, hard attack red rice, and creole mac and cheese. We added a container of kimchi ($8), and my husband ordered via text and Venmo. Our food arrived around 3 PM, and the driver texted a few minutes before arriving. The meal was a flavorful, spicy, spin on traditional Easter cuisine. As a pescatarian, I ate the mac and cheese, beans, and kimchi. The macaroni and cheese was already one of my favorite items from the food truck, and my husband loved the ham and red rice. Portions were huge, and purchasing ingredients and cooking this meal would cost us more. The meal "feeds six", but I'd say it feeds more like 8-10 people. Both of us ate Easter dinner, with seconds, and had enough leftovers all week. Plus, everything reheated well. I hope Roti Rolls offers Easter dinner next year, because we hope to make this a new tradition. read more

Love the Roti Rolls! Found them Friday night at one of my favorites breweries, and enjoyed them. There were 4 rolls on menu, so I had the Thurman Murman & Mother Clucker. Both were filled with their well seasoned meats and toppings. The Thurman was smoked pulled pork with Creole mac and kimchi. While the Mother Clucker had Cajun chicken, onions, pico, cotija, Verde, and hoisin. Want some spice? Well these had it, and I loved them. Both were wrapped in foil and served in a cardboard boat. As I ate each one they dripped with the yummy juices. Both were filling and delicious! Great food truck to go with beer! Service was good, friendly, and they were always happy to explain the items. I really use to like Roti Rolls, and I loved their Green Door restaurant; but sadly the Green Door is gone and the Roti Rolls food truck is just played out for me. I use to love the Thurman Murman and the Mother Clucker was good too. But I feel they need to switch it up some and add some new items to their menu. I would normally give them 4 stars for the flavor, but they charge too much for what you get. And today I found out that they require a $1000 guarantee to bring their truck to our office; meaning if they don't sell $1000 worth of food that our company is responsible for paying the rest of the amount. An electric green food truck that can't be missed. I had been wanting to try this and now was my chance. I had complimentary lunches as part of my conference and Roti Rolls was an option, so here magnetically trotted off to. The food was reasonable, but far from fantastic. The average wait time seemed about 6 minutes ( yes I timed it!) This is my first time eating this and I had high expectations based upon what my friends have told me. I ordered the Mother Clucker, Cajun chicken with a lot more going on. The combination of salad, onions and cheese worked well. I do think the actual flavoring was good. A little kick to it but no acquired level of "hot tolerance" required. The chicken itself tasted succulent and fresh, no after taste. What I didn't like is the amount of fat in this. The roti ( or bread part) looked like it had been deep fried or at least fried in a lot of oil. The filling was also very oily and so the bottom of the roll was sodden in fat. The other issue, which seemed like quite a few other customers were talking about, was that the roll itself was very small. The fact that they serve $8 for 1 or $14 for 2 means they often have customers buying more than 1! It's served wrapped in foil in a paper boat smaller than the length of my hand. All in all, I don't think it's great value for money and it's far too greasy. I was able to eat less than half of my meal. I personally don't think I will be eating this again. read more

$13 for a rice bowl at Shaky Knees in Atlanta. About an average price for a meal at the fest, I found. Except for Island Noodles -- feckin' God bless those things. First, the people at Roti Rolls seem awesome. Energetic and super friendly. Props to that. Three stars for the food though -- my bowl just had little flavor. Updating. I have kept my eye out for other vegetarian options each time I have passed by Roth rolls truck. Last night was the first time seeing one other than funky farmer so I was like "Let's do this!!". It was the curried vegetable rice bowl for 13$. It just hit me, 13 for a little paper bowl of rice and vegetables is steep as hell. There's more regret here than the time I combined wine, champagne, and tequila shots. For tastes, My opinion is dead set on how I described the meal in my first review: "an orgy of off flavors". I mean, don't take my word for it - By reading everyone else's reviews, I'm the only one in this boat! It's what I have affectionately coined as "adventurous white people food". The rice itself I liked but from there - the vegetables were extremely vinegary. I guess they pickle and curry, pickle/curry/grill?? Idk. The potatoes were too al dente. I put some ghost pepper sauce in so at least it was spicy and mouth burning enough, but not enough to cover up the tart vinegaryness and distract me from raw potatos. Then I went back up and added Sri-racha ranch dressing. As bizarre as that sounds, after so many flavors, I did not know what was what or what the heck I was even eating, and it was no longer so displeasing. There was also yellow mustard and ketchup, but those are totally the opposite of adventurous and exotic. I love their Foghorn Leghorn, with curry chicken, coconut curry veggies, and kim chi. It's the perfect balance of sweet and savory, plus the kim chi provides quite a kick. I regret not coming to them sooner. I have eaten their food with dirty fingers, in the heat, in the dust, and other unpleasant conditions, but their consistency always remains.
