Had just finished visiting some friends in the area and was looking for an Italian place near by since we couldn't eat meat that day because of lent so I came across this place on yelp. It looked like the perfect cozy date night spot located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. We arrived and were seated immediately as it was not very packed but there was people, mostly picking up take out. We were in-between what to order as most of their pastas were the same exact price as the lobster ravioli so I went with the lobster. The dishes came with a salad and some garlic rolls. The Caesar salad was delicious and so fresh. Which there was an upcharge for, which our waitress failed to mention to us , noticed when we got the bill came. The garlic rolls however were alright, nothing to ride home about. Same with the pasta dishes, they were good but ive had better. Ive actually never had lobster ravioli paired with tomato sauces, its usually in a white sauce or pink or butter based sauced so that was different . You can tell the tomato sauce is homemade, it had a great flavor to it just not sure I liked it paired with the lobster. For dessert I got a cannoli to go , again it was just ok. Not bad but not the best I've had. The service however was fantastic, our waitress was great she kept checking up on us and focusing on when we needed a refill. But over all Everything was ok. I called to place an order 20 min before closing they stated that they were closed, even though online they were still accepting orders. We placed the order and then I called to make sure that it was at the correct location since they stated that they were closed 5 min prior. The same lady answered the phone and tells me they are closed and has no orders. I eat here for lunch quite frequently, the lunch specials are amazing. I've tried the chicken francese which comes with rolls and your choice of pasta. The sauce is delicious and the lunch special price is only $10.99. The white pizza is also one of my go to's. They make it with the ricotta under the mozzarella cheese which is nice because it almost gets baked right into the crust. This is one of my "go to" casual restaurants. Although I've never actually eaten inside the restaurant, I always order take out or uber eats or door dash. I must order at least 3 times a month. I've tried the pizza (both red and white), eggplant parm sub, several different pastas, calzone and wings. I started out by being obsessed with the white pizza, topped with mushroom, artichokes and spinach. The toppings are fresh and the dough is the right texture. My boyfriend loves there traditional red pizza with meat toppings. Although I have to mention there was one time (And only 1 out of the 20 pizza's I bought in the past year) that I was not happy. The sausage on the pizza tasted old. That was only bad experience. Every other time it was great. I just don't order sausage anymore. LOL. I love the eggplant parm sub. It's a prepared a little bit different than other pizza places I've been to. They don't smother it with a lot of tomato sauce, Just a little - which I like. The the eggplant is prepared just how I like it too, thin slices of eggplant egg battered. It comes with french fries which are ok, it needs salt or something. The calzone is amazing, they stuff if with just the right amount of mozzarella and ricotta and your choice of toppings. It reminds me so much of my NY and NY calzones. I would say the pasta's are my least favorite but they are not bad, to me the pasta was not al dented which I prefer. But again I usually order take out or uber eats or door dash. Perhaps the pasta in the packaging cooks the pasta more during transit. And it wasn't a one time thing, I've ordered pasta dishes on different days. Maybe one day I'll actually try eating in the restaurant. The service seems pretty good from a distance as I observe while waiting for my "to go" orders. Be Cautions when ordering food to be delivered from Rotelli in Tamarac, FL. We ordered 2 dinners with desert for Mothers Day. We paid in advance, including a 20% tip for the delivery person. We were told that the order would take between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours to be delivered. We received a call from the restaurant 1 hour and 45 minutes after our original order was placed to inform us that they ran out of the food we had ordered and we were asked to order another dish. Since they took so long to let us know of this problem we cancelled the order. We realized that if we ordered another dish it would take close to another hour before they could deliver that food to us. That is really horrible customer service. Had they called us within 45 minutes we would have been happy to change our order. Obviously you can not trust that you will get you food when you order from Rotelli in Tamarac. read more

I wish I could rate this restaurant at least 4 stars but I just can't. I brought my car to the shop for an oil change so I walked over to get a bite to eat for lunch. I looked at the menu and decided to order the "world famous" lunch special, which I thought would be very special, because of the name. So I ordered a half ham & cheese sub, salad and slice of pizza. The salad arrived first and was ok. The lettuce was average and the tomato was less than ripe. The sub was also average. Bread was about average and the entire sandwich lacked a variety of ingredients that could have made it great (e.g. oil & vinegar, mayo). The pizza was actually pretty good and made the meal much better at that point. The bathroom was extremely clean but did not have towels to dry my hands. The service was average. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. In order for this to be considered for a 4 or 5 star rating: make small yet inexpensive changes to some of the food items, train staff to be a little more than just professional (fun, personable and exciting would be an improvement), and make sure the bathrooms are fully stocked. read more

First time I came here for lunch and ordered 2 slices of pizza, they just ran out so they made a fresh new batch. It was delicious. The slices were pretty large and very cheesy. I decided to come back a second time for lunch and ordered the same thing, I did have to wait a little bit longer but not a biggie. I travel across this country always looking for "authentic" Italian food but have come to realize you will not find any but in Major Cities across this country. Being an Italian citizen who lived in the North East it gets more and more disappointing to hear/see people say Wonderful Italian food or Real Italian Food when its NOT. Rotelli is one of these: First when it comes to the Menu 1. the wine menu was old and when I asked for a certain one none of them were on the menu... Had to walk over to the bar to look at the bottles. 2. The wine selection overall for an Italian restaurant was very poor.. The lowest end Chianti and an Italian blend... REALLY? 3. The Menu- It had Tilapia on it? The cheapest and poorest fish there is. If your Italian you do Branzino (Sea Bass), It had Carbonara.. WITH NO Egg!! Just Creme.. There is NO creme in Carbonara. They had a bunch of other NON Italian Dishes or attempts at Italian dishes. IE: Chicken Parm. Not Italian either but as an American dish can be delicious. 4. The food we ordered.. The Arancini was massive and a ball of bread crumbs. When you make Arancini they are smaller and usually served as a pair and with peas and some filling of rice. (Not good). I never get meatballs in a restaurant but my friend who I just came back from Italy with the previous week wanted them. The meatballs were not edible. Just a low grade of meat, flavorless and hard. When you make meatballs you need 85% meat and you need to have bread in them to soften them. They were awful. The angel hair pasta dish i got with "white wine" with artichokes was a disgrace. Who puts CANNED/Manufactured artichokes in a pasta dish? You do real fresh artichokes or don't do it. Just lazy cooking there... The pasta was not al dente and mush. The dish was $17 for a bowl of mushy pasta and jar artichokes. Just an awful dish. My buddy got the Chicken parmesan. I believe it was just Mozzarella they make the pizza with on top of it.. (Not Parmesan). The chicken was too thick (Should be filetted and pounded out), cheese as I stated not good, the sauce was sweet but hardly any on the chicken at all. (Dry). .. To top it off this usually happens when the owners are not Italian and don't understand the real recipes and take from others. They need to decide to be an Italian restaurant or not. I know its Florida in the middle of no where but this was poor ingredients, poor wine, poor execution and most of all poor recipes. The seared salmon arraba would have been tasty had they not drowned it in some mystery cream sauce. This place has terrible service. At the end of taking my phone order left me on hold for 7 minutes. She comes back and made me start all over again. When I paid I asked for a copy of my credit card receipt after I paid. She didn't know the difference between the order ticket and the credit card receipt. They had to call someone just to get me what she should have done right in the first place. At 11:59am I placed an order for delivery of one wrap to my workplace across the street. I've never ordered delivery before and have learned my lesson. I've gone in many times with multiple people from work- it will be a long time before that happens again. I was told delivery time of 45-60 minutes, which is understandable since it was lunch time. I told the gentleman who answered the phone that my name was Kate; several people from my office building (with a shared main line #) have ordered there before. Fast forward to 1:21pm. I call inquiring about my order. I was told it was out for delivery. I call at 2pm and am told that it was delivered but that they would remake it. At 210pm they call my workplace and ask for a coworker and that coworker stated they didn't order anything. I called back because I could hear the receptionist say that Rotelli had called. I call back before 215 and the woman who I spoke to at 2 starts to get an attitude that the delivery driver stated he delivered it to someone claiming to be coworker's father on a couch. We don't have a couch in our entire workplace. She gets huffy with me stating that it was delivered...which I do believe it was sent somewhere, but not to me. She says she would start to remake it. I asked what happened to the wrap being remade at 2, and she states that she heard from the driver it was delivered and they tried to call me twice. Overall, the food is classic Italian but clearly a franchise, so you don't get that "we are in my Italian aunt's house for dinner" feel that you crave when you chose a local Italian restaurant. They are very efficient at handling larger parties with split checks, and generally quick to get food out as well. The items I have had there have been full of flavor. What a pleasant surprise. I had dined at another Rotelli location about a year ago, and vowed to not return, due to the lousy food and worse service. This new location is right near my office, and after a while, you run out of good places to go, so.... I can say that this location has absolutely nothing in common with my previously visited location. I ordered a tilapia dish that was out of this world. The garlic rolls were fantastic. What did I just eat?!? I've never written a review so quickly; I literally just finished my meal. (What I could stomach of it anyways.) To be fair, normally the words "chain" and "delivery" when combined with the word Italian do not sit well with me and I know better than to bother. However, I was confined to my home today and had nothing available for dinner and was really craving shrimp scampi. The previous reviews had me hopeful that the meal would at least be edible. Apparently even that expectation was too high. As stated, I ordered the shrimp scampi for myself and went for the $1.99 upgrade from a side garden salad to a side Caesar salad. For my son, I ordered the Grilled Spa Chicken Breast Sandwich with a side of fries. (The menu offers chips as a side, but I was told they don't actually have chips, so fries it was.) Total came to just over $34. Yikes! Well my options were limited so whatever. The only positive about this place--the delivery was lightning fast! I was quoted 45 minutes to an hour; it arrived in 35 minutes. I tipped generously, bringing my $34 bill to $40. As previously stated, I paid $1.99 to upgrade to a Caesar salad; I didn't receive any salad. My shrimp scampi only had 5 shrimp, though rather large. The sauce is what really got me as it was gelatinous. The dish itself didn't smell garlicky, nor any hints of wine or lemon in the aroma. It just smelled like plastic. One bite made it clear--that sauce was laden with starch. Who even puts starch in scampi to begin with?? The shrimp was good but I could not stomach the pasta. So, great, I paid $21.99 for 5 shrimp, an invisible salad, and garlic knots that didn't hold up to their reputation, in my opinion. My son's sandwich and fries were a generous portion but there was really nothing spectacular about any of it. Phew. I feel better now having gotten this off my chest. Now I have to rebuild some Yelp! karma and finally get around to reviewing all the amazing places the FTL metro area has to offer. Enjoyed lunch here while on break from Gold Coast Real Estate school next door. We had a party of 12 from our class. The staff was quite accommodating to bring tables together to handle the large group. Everyone asked for separate checks and told the waiter, Gio, we had to be back in an hour. Menu had a good selection of lunch items, sandwiches, soups, salads and a few entrees....plus pizza! The atmosphere was pleasant. Gio was very attentive to all of us and the other staff were helpful when bringing out all the lunch selections. I had the chicken club wrap which was very good and reasonably priced. The others seemed to enjoy their lunches, which looked appetizing and smelled delicious. Next time, I'd like to try their pizza. Gio was a terrific, attentive and friendly waiter. The office normally orders pizza, garlic bread & salads from here every other month or so for our new franchise training classes we put on, but today we decided to drop in. I ordered my usual ( Malibu salad with no bacon) add everything else. (greens, avocados, red onion, mozz cheese, tomatoes, grilled chicken & extra homemade vinaigrette. Mannnnn let me tell you.... this salad is on point! All the veggies are fresh & the vinaigrette is so you can drink it from the container. The salad comes in a round tin with fresh baked bread underneath & it is GOOD!!! (you have to save some of the vinaigrette to dip the bread in) This is my favorite from here....but I'm also a fan of the veggie pizza. To start before the virus I was a huge fan and we ate here once a week at least. We ordered food last night when I walked in the door there was a customer without a mask at the counter the cooks did have mask on the delivery driver did not and was behind the counter where the food was being cooked. The owner or manager when I walked in did not have a mask on but did have gloves. He was touching the phones and computer finally he put a mask on but did not cover his nose and I watched him prep food never changed his gloves and after touching the phone and computer proceeded to touch salad with his hands and fill a to go order with his filthy gloves on. I eat here all the time and I am always pleased with the food but the service is horrible with the exception of one waitress Shelly who is always courteous and professional and knows me by name. I ordered pizza to be delivered to my job and provided instructions on where to deliver it. For the 3rd time they got it wrong. When I tried to explain this to the manager, he cut me off and told me it came earlier than it was supposed to. I told him that wasn't my issue when he finally allowed me to speak. Then he made excuses about new driver's. I explained this isn't the first time. He just apologized and acted like I was bothering him. As a NJ native living in Florida for 4 years now I've had a lot of pizza trying to find one that taste as good as home. And I'm happy to say this is the closest I've gotten. The texture of the dough has a crisp bottom and a thin chewy crust. Pepperoni is great, sauce is on point by not being too sweet like most in Florida.
