Then I headed to the chair, where one stylist worked on my hair while another did my makeup at the same time. I left looking so amazing that I honestly wished I had an event to go to that day. I booked the makeup because I saw all their amazing transformations on Instagram and wanted a little confidence booster for myself for being 2 months postpartum. The makeup artist asked me if I wanted full glam or natural and I said full glam. 20 minutes later she said "ok you can look in the mirror now!" and I looked and immediately thought is this some kind of sick joke? First, I had bags under my eyes which instead of concealing them, she made them look worse and I looked like I had raccoon eyes. The foundation coverage was basically nonexistent - I asked her "did you even put foundation on?" And then she goes, "oh I'm not done yet, I'll fix it!" But 20 more minutes later, it just kept getting worse. She did a horrible job matching colors to my skin tone. And she didn't even trim the lashes which looked outrageous on me. I told her I was not happy but I didn't have time to continue sitting in the chair and wanted to leave. I will say after I told the manager about my awful experience, she did give me a discount and a voucher for full makeup with a different artist. I am not sure if the girl who did my makeup is one of their main artists- her name started with a D but I don't see her tagged on their IG at all. This included the swift removal of the previous office manager mentioned in one of the previous posts. It's certainly no desire of mine for anyone to be removed, however, business is business. From my experience, this studio does everything that it can possibly do to cater to the needs of its clients. I am very proud of the work this studio produces and the way it makes me feel. Just to share how amazing this studio is, I was doing a Periscope video about a month ago. I made a trip to Atlanta a few weekends ago, and someone mentioned to me how much they loved my makeup and wanted to have MY NORTH CAROLINIAN makeup artist do their makeup. She's in Atlanta... The last time I checked, Atlanta does NOT have a shortage in makeup artists. The quality provided by the MakeUp Addict Studio touched someone states away who would want to work with my makeup artist.
