We shared an order of bruschetta, which was the best we've ever had ! My husband had the spaghetti arribiata which was wonderful, with a generous amount of meat, and I had roast chicken. Sounds boring, but it was delicious! Cooked perfectly, with high quality meat and perfect seasoning. The rosemary potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, which is just how they should be. Then, the piece de resistance--hot chocolate with pistachio liqueur. SO good. It was hard not to drink it too fast. The waitstaff was very pleasant and gave us just the right amount of service and attention. We've already made another reservation!

So good, in fact, I ate there twice on my trip to North Wales (about 6-7 days apart). I loved the the decor - throwback 70's Italian replete with red checkerboard table cloths! Service was attentive and friendly - especially the silver-haired gentleman. Food was delicious. I really loved the salad. What a beautiful mixture of veggies and greens - just delightful! I had to have Fettuccine Alfredo at Alfredo - another winner! Creamy rich goodness with yummy, generous bites of speck (ham)! Bottom line: I loved the place! Was it the best Italian food I've ever had? Yes (in Wales!) Okay, maybe not the best ever in the entire world, but pretty dang good (along with service, decor and overall "vibe." 4.25 enthusiastic stars for my Conwy, Wales "Italiano go-to!"

The crostini bread and garlic cheese bread was also very nice. Home made dough from what I could tell. Had slow roasted belly pork with a tomato/chilli sauce and penne for mains which is one of there specialities. The meat was very succulent and the sauce had a good kick. Not a huge fan of penne but it was very good. The carbonara looked amazing and I'll be trying that next time(I snuck a little taste too.) I'll definitely be visiting again.

I have eaten at Dolce Vita on a few occasions and always found the food to be quite bland and flavourless. Infact my last visit a couple of months ago was very dissapointing - The Lasagne was smothered in greasy cheese and contained very little meat and the Garlic Bread was disgusting - just one slice of crusty bread spread with tastless Garlic butter (I can make much better at home) It is such a shame that the food is sub-standard because the Old Staff that have been a part of Dolce Vita for many years are both friendly, funny and hard working and the atmosphere in general is very good. The food just needs a little help from a good Italian Chef and this could be a great restaurant.

They have a wide selection of deserts and an excellent wine menu as well as a well stocked bar. The food is always perfect here and I or my family have never ever had any cause to complain about an evening spent here. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff are so pleasant and attentive, the service is always excellent. They have Italian background music which I always find very relaxing. It gets very busy so I'd say it was advisable to book in advance.
