There is some free car parking nearby but immediately outside the restaurant the car park is entered through a barrier to which you have to pay in order to gain access. There is a children's play area adjacent to the car park and you can also walk the length of the pier. Although children are made welcome as always in Italian restaurants, this is a lovely place to go for a grown up Italian meal. Although the usual pizzas and pastas are available they have additional more unusual menu items to tempt your appetite. The food is very well prepared and presented and the staff are friendly and make an effort to make the experience special.

An excellent restaurant. Good value and generous sized portions. It has the normal Italian food as…read moreyou would expect but also more adventurous things of which I have tried a few and they are just as delicious. The one BIG problem is that they do not answer their telephone, and there is no answerphone. It is a very good restaurant and as such is often busy and if you just turn up it is unlikely that you will get a table. So to reserve you MUST phone in the evening of the day before you want to go, as they only ever answer their phone in the evening. There is a car park right next to the restaurant with a barrier and a £1 charge, but there is plenty of free street parking nearby if you would rather avoid paying for parking. (It is not the restaurant's own car park, they have nothing to do with the charge, it is a council car park for people visiting the pier). It is also worth noting that this restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays and open evenings only, not lunchtimes. The staff are charming and go out of their way to make sure everything is to your satisfaction and they often stop and have a chat beyond just food, asking where you are from and what you do in life etc., which is always nice. All in all a fantastic restaurant that you can visit again and again as there is a good sized menu that is regularly changed according to season.

We didn't have high hopes for Alfredo's, since we have so many outstanding Italian restaurants in…read moreChicago, and are thus spoiled. What a pleasant surprise this was. We shared an order of bruschetta, which was the best we've ever had ! My husband had the spaghetti arribiata which was wonderful, with a generous amount of meat, and I had roast chicken. Sounds boring, but it was delicious! Cooked perfectly, with high quality meat and perfect seasoning. The rosemary potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, which is just how they should be. Then, the piece de resistance--hot chocolate with pistachio liqueur. SO good. It was hard not to drink it too fast. The waitstaff was very pleasant and gave us just the right amount of service and attention. We've already made another reservation!

I think it's "Alfredo Restaurant" - not "Alfredo's Restaurant." Am I being nit-picky?…read more Anyhow... Italiano in Wales? Hmm, I thought. Well? It was very good! So good, in fact, I ate there twice on my trip to North Wales (about 6-7 days apart). I loved the the decor - throwback 70's Italian replete with red checkerboard table cloths! Service was attentive and friendly - especially the silver-haired gentleman. Food was delicious. I really loved the salad. What a beautiful mixture of veggies and greens - just delightful! I had to have Fettuccine Alfredo at Alfredo - another winner! Creamy rich goodness with yummy, generous bites of speck (ham)! Bottom line: I loved the place! Was it the best Italian food I've ever had? Yes (in Wales!) Okay, maybe not the best ever in the entire world, but pretty dang good (along with service, decor and overall "vibe." 4.25 enthusiastic stars for my Conwy, Wales "Italiano go-to!"
