I cannot emphasize enough just how talented Sarah is at cutting and styling hair. It's seriously a supernatural gift or something! Rossi + King popped up on my Instagram feed one day and I immediately was drawn to the choppy cuts and styles. There was a consistency with the cuts among the different clients and so I had a feeling I'd walk out happy. I couldn't believe the results after my first visit. Too often I've experienced botched haircuts or cuts that were just less than stellar and nothing like I'd expected - Sarah's choppy, textured, edgy cut on me was beyond my expectations. Today was my second visit and I was nervous that I over-hyped myself from the first cut, but I think I'm even more impressed now and am so relieved to have found a consistent stylist. I had her cut side-swept bangs this time and I'm usually quite particular - but she nailed them, no problem. You can tell she cares about every cut and has an eye for detail. She is SO good at creating texture. The space is beautiful, clean and minimal - big windows let in lots of light, tall warehouse ceilings give it an airy feel and the great fixtures and style make you feel comfortable and pampered. The experience starts out with a nice, long wash and scalp massage and then Sarah gets to work. She's bubbly, easy to talk to and funny - bonus points. I've been going to Sarah for more than 2 years. She is absolutely a hair goddess. From highlights to bayalage to color, cut & style she is amazing. Every time I leave the salon my hair looks perfect, I especially love the beachy wave look. The new salon has a fun and very comfortable atmosphere. Great location in the Design arts district with lots of parking. Booking online is a snap. Her website is very convenient and user friendly. I usually make appointments close to when I need my hair done because of my crazy life schedule and she always finds time to accommodate me. Extra kudos for Sarah, This week I had an emergency to go back to New Orleans and she stayed late on a Saturday evening to fit me in and make my hair look beautiful. When I first started going to Sarah my hair was damaged and the color wasn't the blonde I wanted. I was always wearing extensions because my hair was so thin and brittle. I can now finally say that my hair is the blonde I've been looking for for years. It is healthy & strong again and I never have to wear my extensions. I get so many compliments on my cut and color. I cannot say enough good things about Rossi + King! We had an appointment at a different saloon, but had to cancel because the stylist was sick. So we called on Saturday morning for an appointment later that day, and we were lucky they had an opening for 2 appointments. We thought we called back the original saloon to cancel, but without realizing it, we called back Rossi + King and canceled our brand new appointments. So when we showed up a few hours later, they were a little surprised because we scheduled and then canceled. We realized the mix up and felt awful. But Joshua and the staff were so accommodating. They totally understood the mix up and managed to fit us in still. Joshua is a true artist. I have asked for a similar updo style from other saloons, but his is by far my favorite! I showed him a couple pictures and he replicated it perfectly. While he was working, he paid attention even to the smallest detail to make sure my hair was perfect. I felt incredibly beautiful because of his magic! And my hair lasted all night (12 hours)! And they serve champagne! You must give Rossi + King a try. They are very clearly passionate and kind. Sharayah has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years, and she knows what I want better than I do! I have thick, curly/wavy hair which can be difficult to manage or cut but she handles it perfectly. If I tell her where I want it then she gets the length perfect -- and she even has the sixth sense to correct me when I ask for something she thinks I won't like (which has saved me many a time!). Sarayah also has great advice about which products or styling tools to use. Rossi Park has also been great during COVID - it's very distanced and has temperature checks upon entrance. Oh, Joshua's magic hands!!! All hail. After a lifetime of mostly dealing with my hair on my own, I turned to professionals regularly, a few years ago, to help as grays started to take over my crown and I had increasing issues with the texture. It seemed the professional help wasn't..helping much. It was like shampoo and conditioner never fully washed out of my hair, the few inches near my scalp always seemed sort of greasy. Yet my hair also seemed brittle and dry. The results of an air dry were rather terrifying and I had to spend lots of time with a heat tool to make my hair presentable in even a most basic way. I'm not a "spend lots of time in front of the bathroom mirror" kind of woman so this was a real drag. I thought I was just over "good hair" in life and age had won. BUT THEN I GOT INTO JOSHUA'S CHAIR. After just one styling, not even a cut or color, it was like the life was back in my hair.
